Don't know why you couldn't make a post like this for the APAC server when we literally begged for one, it might have made all the difference! Just shows the importance to you of the APAC region.

Still lurking. Not playing now though have given up both posting and playing. Just thought I'd pop a post in to say as much. Devs probably car about the game but somewhere in the hierarchy someone made a terrible mistake, one that pretty much anyone could have told them want worth it. It's a shame, hopefully it all survives for those times I pop on for nostalgic reasons. But not a cent more of my money will they see. This will likely be my last Post for awhile. You say this like it's an unusual occurrence, take a look in the SV threads, it's not, and normal practice for BS to annoy the Customers and double down, bugger the consequences even when given very fair and decent to all compromises.

unfortunately you also justified the poor decisions by the devs, no doubt counting on exactly this happening, people spending money to transfer them when they should have absolutely been free. The more people that do this the more they will feel justified, and then the more likely they will pull things like this in the future, because it worked, people paid. No offense intended, BTW just pointing out a fact., you have been fighting along with us I know.

I have to say I have been so pre-occupied with the abysmal way the Apac server and its players have been rolled out/treated I had neglected to look at the new patch. I remember when we used to get gear drops, black talon was great for some adaptive gear, and noticed over the years that the drops got less and less, then we started to see mostly decorations and "junk" until now we are just (it seems) getting wardrobe gear. Whilst Annoying AF I wish I could say I am surprised; it seems this company is pouring one bad decision after another doubling down on them for whatever reason and bugger the consequences. I understand player retention and making money but someone above player level needs to tell them what any high school student can... this is not the way to do it. If your customers are not happy, they will leave, fortunately at least with SWTOR we can still play if the mood strikes us without giving them another cent. which is exactly what I am doing now due to APAC issues. It's a shame they are further diluting the player base, and in turn less profits, someone in the company really thinks this is the way to go and that is actually frightening.

Yup send real money to buy them rather than in game currency, it's still ridiculous.

Strongholds are not transferring only the unlocks which means you need to spend millions of the paltry 15 mill to buy them again.

I used up all the CC I had left (as I said I will not give them another cent). and transferred 2 more than I actually wanted to just for the extra credits. Also have put some stuff on the GTN at inflated prices to try and make some back. I need to re-buy my strongholds? I thought they were supposed to transfer over. I also notice the old chieves that are no longer available did not transfer over either. I am really in two minds where to keep playing (preferred) or not bother at all.

While I was for the limitation of credits initially, I did say it was only postponing the inevitable and the issue was not just the credits in the system, and that it was going to happen anyway, more than once. However, like Trixxie says it's better to have people than an empty server with a great inflation.

Does anyone else find it hilarious with the new patch called: Building a foundation" that's the exact opposite of what's happening both for the SV server and the game in general with this patch... They had a whole existing client base for the new server that just needed some love and they failed to build that foundation most impressively I might add, I don't know many gaming companies that could have annoyed a whole continent/island. And then take a look at the rest of the world up in arms about the patch. they must surely be asking themselves what they did wrong? At least one would hope so, otherwise the foundations for SWTOR are looking very brittle indeed. To BS, read/understand your patrons and communicate, it's a very simple process.

You know the really irritating part? I don't even WANT to transfer 16, I want to transfer 2, which I am pretty sure I have the CC to do, however due to the way we have been (and are) being treated I decided to unsub instead, I am not going to give them another cent. It's simple, throw us a bone give some free transfers to long time players that were shifted off the original servers already and I would be happy, it's the right thing to do! Instead, they show how little they genuinely think of us with their silence and doubling down. with a back dated condition. It's not rocket science more players transferring means more players playing and pay subs or buying cartel coins. Piss off a player and they quit = no sub or cartel coins, and a bad feeling for the community, is so simple I feel like yelling it at the screen, I do not understand how people that run a company cannot grasp an extremely simple concept...

Really? plenty of us myself included have either offered solutions or pointed to extremely good ones by other posters, you are seeing what you want to see, Spoiled kids, where is actual fact what we are is annoyed adults tired of being treated like a door matt.

And the exact reason I am not giving them another cent, I haven't even logged in since the revised conditions went up, let alone played. I just feel abused to be honest. Happy to take our money for years despite a substandard online experience, then when they finally fix it after forcing us all off the servers in the first place they put an unrealistic back dated condition for free transfers, that by rights should be ours to return us to where we were forced from originally. So, I doubt I will be transferring any and will not be giving them any more of my hard-earned money going forward, all this fiasco has shown me is how much they actually value the APAC community... or don't as it were. 100% would not hurt them to use any of the fair suggestions in this thread, but they chose not to look after us properly. I'd be interested if anyone is actually paying the transfer fee's.. Unfortunately, the free to play and preferred cant post here so we will likely never know the actual %.

In my case it's because it's the only way you can be sure they see your displeasure. You are so quick to judge. And APAC players that have been around for years have been punished enough! A few days was my lapse after thousands over the years. They showed what my money is worth to them. And I heard loud and clear.

"Players who have been Subscribed since before January 2, 2024 will receive 16 free transfers to the Shae Vizla server." Tone deaf.. I guess my sub will stay cancelled at the end of the paid time.

Actually, there was at least 4 times the players that currently play on SS and SF combined back then, it had nothing to do with APAC numbers but BW saving the $$, you have constantly shown you dislike the APAC Community with your inflammatory posts, I don't know why you still bother? To be fair, WoW has these things but they do not work well, US players constantly complain when they get an instance on Aussie servers with comment's like 250ms is unplayable and drop group, if they don't do that they complain about the really bad lag, and its the same across all play types especially PVP. However, even saying that, it is very different here, because it's not 250ms we are talking about SWTORS servers are 300-500ms to AU, at least where I live, they constantly lag out and disconnect, you cannot compare apples with oranges, sorry. Trixxie is plenty positive, but if all you see is negative then perhaps the issue is not trixxie, they have constantly tried to uplift and even help the APAC community and offer solutions to the devs, and even plead with them for communication/compromise fact is we are all sick of it and becoming jaded, Trixxie is the one constant positive poster. If anyone is negative it is not them.

Which community would that be exactly? it's not the APAC community for sure. Why is that important, and what does it even have to do with the way they have been SINCE the release or intended release on the APAC server. What collection sale? I dont remember anyone from the APAC region asking for a collection sale for the server. Maybe I misunderstood you using that as a reason they have been "attentive" to APAC players? This is just laughable and shows how out of touch the devs are with us, and you also if you believe it is a good compromise, all due respect. Nope and not even asked for that your personal opinion and has no basis in fact. honestly if a couple of you are not devs on ghost accounts I would be surprised, everyone seems to have their head in the same sandpile. Having said that I hope you are right for those left playing, I doubt it, but I hope so. I have seen some pretty poor decisions over the years by those that make decisions on their games, but none that would intentionally hurt their own bottom line and stick to it, shows great hubris to be honest. Going back to your first point, they have literally ignored us for the bulk of our suggestions and looks like they even given up providing any form of communication, the compromise's and let's be honest there was two, one isn't enough, and the other is backdated to a time no one was even aware off, and 100% unfair. You cannot think that adding in a condition retrospectively is fair surely, and then ignoring the pleas for fairness. So no they are not listening and taking action, if they are in fact listening its listening and ignoring, but I feel we've moved to flat out ignoring myself, and the reason for that feeling is the lack of communication after the "some time in March" I mean look this was said "We also wanted to confirm that character transfers will open with Game Update 7.4.1’s launch. All of the changes above need to be tied to an update hence why the transfers are specifically connected to 7.4.1. We will be sharing more details of 7.4.1’s release date on the livestream (I’ll be popping in myself!), so players know what to expect and roughly when" And yet there was no information and we do not know when they are going to be beyond "March" because they failed in even this promise to let us know in the live stream. How anyone can see this as ok and defend them is strange to me.

Its still not enough, I am sure some will transfer, but the damage has been done, hopefully it will turn around for those still playing/paying

Fast seeing what makes sense and what they SHOULD do is not what they are doing, or even giving the appearance of doing. I wouldn't be surprised if they sat back scratching their heads saying what happened? Despite being told MONTHS in advance by trixie among others exactly this would happen if they continued this way. With the excellent ideas and compromises in this thread they could have resurrected it, now it's more a cut your nose off to spite your face situation. Gaming companies are one of the most stubborn when it comes to customer service and communication with players and show a "we know better than you what you want" attitude, but worse is sticking to it despite it being unpopular. It wouldn't fly in most any other industry. Sadly, I believe inaction and poor decisions may have done irreparable damage to SV, the number of people coming to chat here is not an indication they are happy, but that they have given up, lets ALL remember that. I haven't logged in since cancelling my last sub, I subbed for 90 days with the server announcements, but cancelled again due to the shocking customer service and the handling of our region, and its players.
