Hey all, I started playing SWTOR when the game launched. When GW2 came out, I dropped SWTOR and started playing that. I currently have 3 healers (all three types). I am looking to join a guild or ops raid team, one that preferably plays at least Wednesday nights. I have beaten almost all of the operations on HM back in the day when lvl 50 is the cap so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing. Please send me a message or post if your group has an opening for a healer. I'm fine with being second string/backup to start or obviously on a second string team.

So I was playing around with this and basically filled out everything to indicate that I'm a player very interested in PvE and PvP with indifference to RP. The quiz recommended a heavy RP guild with casual/laid back style to gaming....

I had this problem the other day. New server. I have one of the most geared pve merc healers on the server. I was taking my little lvl 50 alt on a BT HM run. I've done it a million times so no, I didn't think we really needed to CC every trash mob. A sorc CCed three trash mobs that I wasn't expecting. I used an AoE and marvelously broke all three. Ok, yeah, not the best move on my part but it's trash. The conversation went like this: Sorc: Wow, how did you manage to break all three CCs? Me: lol I wasn't expecting you to CC the trash. Sorc: BUT ALL THREE? Me: I used an AoE.... Sorc: Well you need to knock it the **** off. I'm getting sick of it. He then made some jerk remarks about our healer (from my guild) not healing full time and that we probably couldn't do the optional boss. We never wiped once except this d-bag died on the trash. He acted rude the rest of the instance. Personally, I don't think you should pug stuff if you aren't going to be a little more lenient with people (and aren't in a voice chat of some kind together). Communication mishaps happen. Just chill out, gamers. If you aren't with your hardcore gaming group (and even if you are), mistakes happen. No one is going to want to game with you if you bad mouth them or act rude the entire time. Needless to say, I will never be bringing this guy on any instances in the future.

One thing that rather bugs me is that there is apparently no inflation at all in the Star Wars universe. That's completely unrealistic. Not your fault of course, but it just makes the calculation more interesting. Upon further consideration, I suppose that would mean every time our currencies went up or down, the value of the calculation would change because the Star Wars price doesn't change. Additionally, I am considering whether the Big Mac Index really applies because you are comparing two products that aren't necessarily the exact same thing. However, I do like where you are going with this. I would have instead compared researched prices of different commodities through the galaxy, as referenced in different Star Wars literature, to give an idea of what a basket of goods in the galactic economy was priced at. However, kudos for all the thought you put into it.

Exact same thoughts. The sorcs in my group were still managing 400-500K healing/match. I was averaging about 250K/game. I am dying a lot faster and I feel like my heals do little save people. I used to get the 300K easily, my best games around 550K if it was a long match. I guess those days are gone. Did we become light armor uses because I am melting in front of people. Is it me or did they reduce the area that Kolto Missile went? I can hit 4 people only if they are all standing relatively close together. Is this me or true?

This is what I meant. Whenever I'm the only healer up, the raid team is like 'Geez, all we have is the merc up...' I can't rez the healer and I can't do AoE's well to save my whole team. We've been running with me as the main tank healer and the sorc healing keeping everyone else capped off. I tried to tell myself that at least I was buffing people so the sorc could do more healing but now with higher heat costs, less healing and half the buff, I honestly can't see why my team is going to want to take me when they can have two sorcs.

Are you freaking kidding me? We were already the worse healers to play. I thought I'd be fine because pvp was still pretty fun even though I was totally dragging my ops team down. So you're going to nerf our class and we still don't get an in combat rez? What is the point of playing a BH Merc healer? Why did you even throw it in if we werent going to be comparable to the other two healing classes? Should have just rolled sorc healer like the rest of the game. (This is coming from someone missing one piece of the rakata combat medic healer set. Thanks a lot Bioware)
