  1. I have a similar, yet not exactly the same, issue. At level 15 I got Speeder Piloting 1. The Kurtob Alliance, the Recruit A Friend mount, says it's 110% speed regardless of Speeder Piloting level. However, it's Sprint speed. I even confirmed that by having a friend run alongside me. My Longspur STAP gives me 90% just fine. I have submitted a bug report about this, but I figured I'd toss my 2 cents here too.
  2. Knight - Logically, any race apart from Pureblood, since they're inherently Dark side (and Imperial), and Chiss, since they're inherently Imperial. Tacky Rats (sorry, Rattataki) and Dathomirian (Imperial Zabrak) get negative points, though, for their more aggressive nature. Doesn't fit being Jedi very well. Consular - Again, any race, though not Pureblood, Chiss, Dathomirian, and Rattataki. Consular is the "ideal" Jedi, in my mind, and those races are too aggressive. Also, see above re: Pureblood and Chiss. Trooper - Any but Pureblood/Chiss (see above), and Miraluka. The primary military force of the Republic would likely look past the aggressiveness of the Rattataki and Dathomirian, but there would be excessive suspicion over a Pureblood or Chiss being a spy or saboteur (just look at what Elara has gone through, and she's human!), and consistent doubt over the "visual" abilities of a Miralukan that isn't a Jedi. Smuggler - Any except Pureblood. I think the suspicion over Purebloods is more than suspicion over the Chiss. So a Chiss Smuggler would be suspicious, while a Pureblood would be alarming. Though I feel Human, Cyborg, and Mirialian get bonus points here. The Mirialian just because (to me), they look like the type that would slide into smuggling. Warrior - Pureblood for sure, though Rattataki and Dathomirian are close behind. Human and Cyborg come in third. All other races need not apply. Inquisitor - Any alien apart from Pureblood, and Human. Cyborg is acceptable if you're looking at later in the character's life, as a slave wouldn't get the benefit of replacements. They'd just be thrown in the garbage like a broken tool. Cyborg, as I said, later in life, when the character is no longer a slave, maybe not even an Apprentice. Hunter[/u ]- Anything. You're out there to make money, and as long as you can get the job done, who cares what you look like. Just look at Dengar. He was fat and had no fashion sense, yet Vader included him in the meeting. Agent - Human, Chiss, or Cyborg, ideally. Though exceptions can be made for aliens, if taken as newborns and "trained" in the ways of the Empire. They could possibly blend in better in places a Chiss or Human would stand out.
  3. Jesus christ, Bioware. Tune this freaking boss! or at the very least fix the GD "charge" AI so your tank Comp doesn't end up behind a bunch of boxes, making it impossible to heal them!
  4. I just have to laugh at the kneejerk reactions here. I logged my Commando in, and my bag had all the mods and enhancements that had been in my DvL gear. As for people complaining about the armoring.... 1) You couldn't change it before. It wasn't there. Just Mod and Enhancement. 2) It was 128 and....I think 156 before. The 160 Armoring we have now is, therefore, BETTER than we had prior. In other words, they BUFFED your DvL gear. For free.
  5. You could also use an Android Emulator on your PC and install the Security Key to that.
  6. "Sorry, this content isn't available right now The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in." Might wanna use a site like Imgur instead of Facebook.
  7. Khem Val will probably never make a proper return. They gave us a similar companion in the new Dashade. Khem will probably never return because of the various branches Khem's story can take, namely Khem or Zash. Jaesa is in the same boat. She'll never return because who do you give to people that never had her; Light or Dark Jaesa? Such is the downside of good "Choose your own Adventure" storytelling. When branches that split can't merge together again.
  8. Weapons (cartel weapon, mostly, and some crap dropped stuff, but nothing you'd actually WANT, and certainly not anything crafted) come with a new modification slot; Tuning. Customize mods, insert tuning thingy, enjoy electrified weapon. Unless you're using a non-Cartel Market weapon that you like the looks of, such as Lord Kallig's Scorching Lightsaber. Then you're out of luck. No Tuning effect for you!
  9. Something I don't particularly care about, since Bioware felt like only putting the slot on Cartel Market weaponry. Sorry, but I LOVE my Lord Kallig's Scorching Lightsaber. I'm somewhat amused they didn't even give the Chapter 12 weapon a tuning slot. Anyhow, they dropped the ball on that, so I shan't be throwing my money at the screen any time soon for a graphical effect on my lightsaber.
  10. Sounds to me like one of two things. 1) The CSR you got doesn't know the game, or care enough to provide proper. 2) You bought that unlock with credits. I transferred several characters and while I had to mule the items over on the characters, I kept my unlock count. Sadly, the former happens all too often. Numerous times in MMOs I've sent in a ticket with all kinds of info and details, only to get a response back asking for information I already provided. Skim the ticket, select a canned response, on to the next one. I'd press the issue, personally, but best of luck with however you deal with it :B
  11. I made Assembly Components to 550.
  12. I know it's a sin to necro a thread, but it's got some good information in it already. But.... my problem is (kind of) different. I've got both Optical and....well, 3.5mm jacks. When I've got it on Optical, it automatically uses all the speakers (I've a console that lights up what speakers are being used if the input signal changes, IE when I start a game that does 5.1 sound) But....almost everything comes from the front 3 speakers. The rear are....just ambient, it seems. Even if the NPC talking is behind me, it comes out the front speakers. When I switch to 3.5mm jacks, though, the sound moves around properly, but as soon as it switch to a rear speaker, they might as well not be talking. The speakers work, as speaker tests have proven numerous times, but in actual practice....not so much. So...who wants to be Obi-Wan Kenobi and help me this time? (oh, also, if it's relevant, Asus motherboard with RealTek HD audio.)
  13. I hope that gets chalked up as a bug and fixed :\
  14. So I just blew 87k needlessly on a purple blackcore only to learn that yea, it can't be learned. Just in case anyone still wondered. :< Edit: But now I'm curious...why can't I RE and learn "Advanced Purple Evicerating Crystal"? I dropped it in a lightsaber, equipped it, unequipped it, ripped the crystal out..... "No Research Available" D:
  15. As I recall you don't LOSE a skill, it simply becomes unavailable. So if it's at 200 now, it'll be 200 still when you re-sub, or unlock it. But don't use your unlocker until you drop to Preferred, or it'll be wasted, I've heard.
  16. Slight correction. The Revan Holo is a Black Market vendor. The Imperial Training Holo is Darth Malgus. I'd hate for someone to buy the Revan statue, thinking it's the trainer from this thread :3
  17. There are no "short sabers" designed specifically to be equipped in the offhand. Even an offhand only saber can have the same stats as a mainhand, but the system will automatically apply the (unseen) accuracy (and damage, I think) penalty.
  18. For Taris, at least, the Republic is there, doing their restoration thing, then the Empire shows up, starts causing trouble for the Republic, pushes them back, and forms their own main base (sadly, you can't go visit that spot as a Pubbie. Made me sad.) Haven't been to Balmorra on my Trooper yet. I'm assuming it's the other way around, since Balmorra and Taris switch spots in the storylines for each faction. (IE Starter>Dromund Kaas>Balmorra>Nar Shaddaa for Imperials, Starter>Coruscant>Taris>Nar Shaddaa for Pubbies.)
  19. Since you mentioned stealth, I'm assuming you're an Assassin. Do you have Mind Trap yet? If so, get up there, mindtrap one of them, back off, and end up fighting just one mob (if you're tank spec you get a Force Pull, so you don't even have to worry about AOEs from your companion).
  20. Are you logging out in your ship, on fleet, or in a cantina? If so, stop doing that. I THINK it'll slow the amount of rested you accumulate.
  21. The irony here is...so very thick. It's not exactly free if you have to pay money for it, which is exactly what the Digital Upgrade Pack would be as well. Though I don't think a subscription costs 3 quid, as PLynkes was stating. Additionally, anyone that looks a this thread now that the Lucky 77's have already been given out, they can STILL buy the Digital Upgrade Pack and get their free speeder.
  22. Several things. 1) As others have said, if you're outleveling a planet, you can either skip side quests and do just your Class quest (and Planet quest, if you want), or you can do the side quests anyway, for the little bits and pieces of side story, credits, and Commendations. 2) Achivements are Legacy wide. So don't feel like you need to do them all right now. Run a jedi through, rack up some kills, then run a Trooper through later, rack up more, make a smuggler, maybe finish the last of that set up. IE: if the high one is Kill 600, you can kill all 600 on one character, or 200 each on 3 different characters. It even works cross faction (for the ones that don't explicitly specify "As a Republic character" or "As an Imperial character"). 3) Finally, as Hoshkar commented, Rested experience lends to outleveling a planet. Also, as he said, some people like this. They level up faster, so they can either start doing Operations, Hardmode Flashpoints, or even just start up an alt with a few added benefits. If this isn't for you, however, you can avoid having to deal with it by not logging out in a Cantina, on your ship, or on Fleet. Pretty sure Rested doesn't accumulate at all if you're not in one of those, or if it does, it's at a diminished rate.
  23. I'd like to know what this item is, as I've never heard of it before, heh. Also, thread necromancy bad.
  24. Note that you only get ONE of each Companion Archtype bonus. IE: Melee Tank. Khem, Broon, Skadge, I forget who else :B They give 1% accuracy and 10 presence, as well as reducing cooldown and increasing duration on your Heroic Moment, on the first one you complete the Companion Quests for (The conversations and quests). Note, it's the Quests, not simply maxing out affection. But every subsequent Melee Tank you complete will only give you the 10 presence, and none of the other bonuses. But anyway, again, it's not based on reaching 10k affection, but completing their quests (which requires you to get dang close to 10k)
