  2. really niggles?? u should urban dictionary things before you type them.. This guy.. wow
  3. oh damn the word Glee was thrown in. we got a pro troll on our hands.
  4. This is the droid your looking for... And these!!
  5. Chat bubbles no thanks, Role players this isnt the game you have been looking for... move along...
  6. i give the OP a lot of credit for taking his time and writing this all out, I hope Bioware has at least read through his post and realized that what he said alot of people agree upon...
  7. Parsing on a scale from 1-10 is about a 4, which is guess is well enough. Eventually they are going to have to improve upon this, because most people i talk to think of it as a joke. either add one to the UI or allow add-on's. Parsing is just an excuse for we didnt try our best but this is what u get for now.
  8. pointless post... move along nothing to see here..
  9. ^this they even said at the guild summit they want to make more and more things themselves.. which is a bad idea for them to make.. allowing add-ons/macro would allow bioware to make there game better in other places and stop having them spend there resources on a UI that a third party player can do a much better job on . Also a parser that takes more time to use in the long run then a damage meter that only takes a second to update every major patch they put out.. Eventually bioware will let these come into the game, they just feel with them people will get pointed out for not being good, but when in reality its easy to spot who is bad, ( if you back peddle to move out of something your bad, if you cant research any fight or your class your bad, if you think add-ons/macros make a game worse.. your bad), all top players pve and pvp use them because it helps them min/max there dps and heals on a character, among various other things add-ons allow you to do..
  10. snow and grass, if you dont understand that when ur in the warzone you shouldnt be playing the game, i know people that are color blind and get the point..
  11. I dont think you know what your talking about. a Competitive gamer likes to min and max stats and dps/healing.. But they dont need sponsors to do that. a competitive gamer can be anyone that strives to be better. As a person who has had many server firsts in various games and even above 2200 in arenas in that other game... it was also done with casual players... you dont need to play 15 hours a day to be great at this game or other ones for that matter, but bioware can let the community handle the add-on/mod part for them and they can spend there resources on better areas of the game. Your add-on comment is sub par at best, because as for myself someone that has played mmorpgs for over 9 years i realize most people i played with try and want to be better, they ask questions and get what they need to make themselves better... Whatever game you play people will have pros and cons about something and those are the people that aren't competitive gamers and dont care how they play as long as they payed their 15 dollars a month, they dont want to be told how to play... but thats why there are different guilds for those people and servers for that matter... What your saying is competitive gamers or players for that matter have to do something to its max or be sponsored to be competitive, which is frankly hilairous... so sports teams that arent sponsored nor do the players practice everyday for hours on end, they are not allowed to be competitive.. or heck what about kids in gym class they cant be competitive because its only gym. this can go with alot of other things, its just in peoples nature to be competitive.. again more importantly im supporting what this player has to say because there is always the choice or using them and ignoring the add-ons all together..
  12. i'll agree with this add-ons are needed for competitve gaming and games that will want to do well for a long time.. and sadly most of the anti add-on users that post on forums are not competitive gamers and mostly RP'ers or people that aren't very good at the game to be begin with and dont want to be that last person picked in dodgeball. on my server alone we have people that dont wear helmets because they cant find the tab to hide it, then when u tell them how to hide it; they have the excuse is i still do good without it. If Bioware wants to be a competitive game at the end of the day and wants the top end game PVE guilds and PVP guilds to stay they need to open up add-on/modding to the community. PLUS that way they dont waste there resources on a UI team when its cheaper and easier to have the community do it for them..
  13. I think this guy said it best... Worry more about what needs to be in the game and just open up add-on/community modding, in the long run its better and cheaper for u =P. Threat meters, dps/heal meters need to be in the game for competitive reasons.. (this is why most mmorpg's are successful because at the end of the day its the competitive aspect it brings to the table, just look at the most popular games people talk about today Lord Voldemort aka the game that will not be named and L.o.L, both highly competitive.. )
  14. Without a doubt everything this player listed is 100% needed to make this game better, and most of it should have been in the game at launch; Yes this even means a threat meter and Dps chart.. The problem is most top gamers and pvpers are leaving the game because alot of this isnt in the game at this point, which it should be for competitive purposes. If bioware doesnt add certain things soon its going to keep losing its player base, because the majority of good gamers are going to leave, which is sad because this game has alot of potential.. thus why they gave out the month free, because bioware knows its kinda struggling right now.
  15. This guy doesnt know anything about being successful.. You can watch ANY top PVE guild or PVP player and they will be using add-ons. In whatever game competitive gamers will play, they will use the tools that make them better gamers or more successful. Thats like telling a coach he isnt needed in a game, sorry coach you're play book has got to go your taking the challenge and skill away.. Better yet fire the guy that makes the army's battle plans that guy makes things so dumb downed and not challenging...
  16. Parsing a log for PVE is rather useless also, if bioware was smart they would do something right the first time... Remove death log insert real combat log....(not a damage meter) But remove parsing insert add-ons that dont take more time then a boss fight to use... most people want there add-ons in game..
  17. BOOOMMM!!!! All this and a bag of chips.. +10... On a different topic im for damage meters or 3rd party mods, most guys cry about them is when they lose to a girl in dps. OH i went there!!!! you know who you are!!! =P
  18. This game doesnt have a combat log, If anything its a death log, That doesnt even show the over kill. Why even have it in game if it doesnt do anything to help out the player, Even as a tank it doesnt show if i mitigated any damage. And the out of game Parse, so pointless. In MMO's People will always be judged regardless of the game you play, weather it be gear or if you get tunnel vision in a boss fight.. i love the game but it lacks in alot of things top MMO's have or will be coming out with to continue to make a game better. What Bioware did was talk big about there in game Combat log, which is a far cry from a real combat log... Again most people that play mmo's dont want to record data, find a program to open that up and view the damage when its so much easier to be like of yea we did it for you or Mods are now available, People are jerks, everyone has there moments weather it be your for or against it.. IF you dont like it dont use it, but at the same time if there is a better way to have it in game without all the crap you have to go through to find out data, then make it better, Elitist are everywhere its your choice how you handle them.. BIOWARE make your game better get rid of parsers, its a waste of time and do something about your in game combat log, change its name to a death log... Allow 3rd party add-ons and your game will grow without a doubt, this is knowledge from being in 2 guilds one republic and one empire with well over 100 people in guild talking about how they are needed.. People that dont want 3rd party add ons dont use them, dont be competitive, there are guilds out there for you to be in like that, top gamers that PVE use add-ons, top pvpers use add-on, people are gonna cry either way/ people are gonna be jerks either way...
  19. Simple yes... if you dont like it dont use it, it wont destory anything by having one in... Having more options is always better.... FACTT!!!!!!
  20. Again, i agree 100% and adding on to this; If your a raider and work or have a life outside the game u realize that the repairs are very high and even more when u have good gear columi/rakata. Also if your a great raider u will still die to the game not being fully tuned, dying to stupid bugs/glitches (aka zoning into bonethrasher some people would die, or taking the speeder before fighting Gharj, random mass deaths.. bugs on SOA). Despite bugs and dying on trying learning the fights for Hard and Nightmare modes which i will say my guild is very large and the best on our server which is Davik's Estate.. we downed every boss on Nightmare mode besides SOA, alot of people i know that dont post on here have a problem with repair cost... Again if you're not able to play the game 24/7, have a job/kids/whatever and dont have time to farm for credits every day to do Operations or even Heroics, then im sure u realize how high the repairs are...
