  1. This is a suggestion to improve quality of life for the ninja-cappers of nodes in warzones, much hated by anyone not on their team. The problem is this: currently, some nodes will automatically de-stealth you when you click to cap, such as Novare Coast turret control panels; some won't, like Voidstar doors and bombs, Alderaan turret terminals, and will demand you de-stealth yourself before interacting with them. I really don't know why this difference is in place, so if there is a (good) reason, maybe someone could educate me. I'd very much like that all nodes reacted the same, and preferably, in the fashion Novare Coast's do, de-stealthing you. Many will complain that ninja-capping is already way too easy and is borderline exploit. But sometimes I waste precious extra seconds because I have de-stealthed manually but the node still won't react to my attempt (lag maybe?), making me click various times before the timer finally starts. Some solution, implemented equally to all nodes, is in order, I think.
  2. +1 I'm having tons of fun, and I'm not anywhere near bored, because I have a lot of unexplored PvE content ahead of me still. PvP? There are good days and bad days, days when I wish some things were different, but it's a game that's changing a bit with every patch, so who knows what's around the corner. I'm enjoying doing my best with what I have.
  3. Huttball - by far the most uniquely-designed and entertaining warzone. Novare Coast - similar to Civil War but fresher; I like the dynamic better, there's no no-return point, caps are more flexible. Civil War - Don't even know.. it's okay. Voidstar - Post 50, I always end up in a rolfstomp or in a stalemate at the front doors. Sure, big healing numbers are good for my ego, but meh. Then again, maybe I haven't figured out a way to 'play' it yet. I used to hate Huttball too.
  4. Op medic. It's all I've ever wanted in a class, including the ability to respec and check out damage trees. But my second wish is to dual-wield pistols so I'll probably try a mercenary soon, or a gunslinger, although stationary gameplay of the latter kind of scares me. But hats are awesome.
  5. I read up to right there and logged in just to say that, if I heal 300k in a match and it's just you and me on the team, Sir, it means that you with your let's say 15k HP just to round up the numbers, died 20 times less than you would've without my heals. Now how would you like to catch 20 full respawn time outs a match? What do you think you final damage score would be then?
  6. I wanted to play a spy since waaay before launch. Having played Imperial in SWG (actually funny how that panned out, as I started out Imperial to get the badges and then swap to Rebels, but then.. I just couldn't), I thought I'd play the 'good guys' for a change. How disappointed was I when I found out that 'spy' was an Imperial only class? Not quite according to plan, but I'm not very demanding, plus, I could play a Chiss! So there I went and rolled my first toon in the game: an IA. Then I read a bunch of forum posts and learned of the horrible thing that is faction imbalance. I thought to myself: it'd be irresponsible of me to contribute to such a game-breaking issue and re-rolled as a smuggler. I haven't played long, and to credit the rumours I've heard about Smuggler story, I'll still probably play one at some point, but then I heard about this nifty Legacy upgrades and unlocks and thought to myself: wouldn't it be cool to have a Chiss smuggler? And back I was playing a Chiss, bounty hunter this time. And to note, this is across 3 different servers. By the time I got to level 30 I began to wonder what exactly I was doing. Being honest with myself, I rolled another IA, because in the end of the day, that's what I really wanted to play, since waaay before launch, no matter other people and their faction inbalances; after all, who would roll a toon just to make my gameplay more enjoyable? Having been PvPing quite a bit, I must say, if I ever make a Republic alt, it'll be a Smuggler, just because of the good thing I heard about the story. Jedi? No, thank you. I've developed a dislike for those lightsaber-wielding guys, patricularly because the lightsaber per square meter of my face tends to reach critical mass in WZs, more so lately. So the more lightsabers they wield the worse, although rock-throwing gets to me ocasionally as well, I think it's just kind of rude to throw rocks at people. The two-handed lightsaber-wielding guys are just silly, IMO, come on, it's not a greatsword! Plus, they all wear brown. Sith and their lightsabers, you ask? No, not the same. And what's not to love about a body-type 3, bold guy with rebreather mask tearing up anyone who even seems like they might as some point in the future think of possibly looking at you the wrong way? I suppose at this point in my way-longer-than-planned post it's obvious I play a healer. Would it be the other way around if I started out on Republic side? Who knows.. when I play my future Smuggler enough, I'll tell you. Right now I'm playing the class I really wanted to play on the faction it happened to be tied to, picking (mostly) Light Side, and along the way I made some friends. So it is likely that my main faction will be Empire once again. Just to say that not all is perfect in the Sith world, I'll mention that I played through Korriban on Inquisitor; I was glad I decided to play through all the extra content with my IA, because I honestly couldn't handle the constant Sith ***hattery through more than just class story. TL,DR : Not all Empire players are vampire-worshipping teenage girls. Also, the game probably could have been designed a little differently to make Republic side more appealing; how? ehh.. aren't there a bunch of threads on that topic already, possibly even by the OP? I really just posted this to give you unasked for insight into some of many players' many reasons for picking one faction over the other.
  7. ^-- That. I love my HoT; I logged my sage (my frist toon) after playing operative for a good while and I didn't know what to do with it anymore, found it clumsy and couldn't find my HoTs. I love ninja-capping, I love scoring a ball and throw a vanish in their faces, so they don't get the satisfaction of killing me. I love my 'free' heal (whatsitsname); I love to run around in my flashy orange PvPimp coat and spam it with only a handful of HP left and watching them chase me around a tent forgetting about everything else. I haven't tried a DPS spec, but I'm sure I'd love it too. I also love how it's one of the least popular classes, at least used to be, I'm sure. And PvP aside, love the story, the accent and as my trusty sidekick says: "They're scared of you aren't they? You come, you go, you're the freaking secret police."
  8. I liked reminding him during every holocall that he had my ship and demanding to know where it was! Darth Jadus is creepily wise and emanating tangible power. Even though he was a bother to Imperial Intelligence all along, I kinda couldn't help feeling sad when he was suddenly assassinated. I swear he did something to my Agent during that audience! And I can't stand his daughter, she is such a brat and what makes her even more annoying is the fact that she's actually got power to act on her every whim as opposed to just whining about it. I spite her on every opportunity. And, I really loved The Eidolon, I knew he'd not be my companion but I really wished he would! And I hated the line you say when you choose the light side option of killing him. And I haven't played much beyond these, I'm looking forward to meeting all those other villains you guys mentioned.
  9. I have made a ton of alts/remakes in search of what I really wanted to stick with. I can't say I'm an altoholic though, on the contrary, once I find what I want I tend to become a very loyal one-character player. My problem is that I am also an achiever and like my rewards/codex entries/titles. That said, the choice of 'My main and always will be' was kind of made for me before I was quite ready for it, with the World Event; the character I played through it is now kind of stuck with being my main because no other characters can measure up to her in achievements.
  10. Since we're talking of carrots.. I remember there was a thread(s) that suggested to make codex shared among your legacy toons, so that you'd not have to rediscover stuff over and over with each new alt you make. Some countered with the fact that doing that would be counterproductive to keeping you subscribed by having you run loops to re-fill your codex on your alts. I admit to belong to the hoarder/achiever sort of gamers, who are deeply disturbed by the X/Y codex entries. I like to have it all and I have been quite happy that up until recently I felt completely free and content to make as many new alts as I wanted, delete any number of existing characters and re-make them from scratch and still have the possibility to achieve just as much as with any original characters I had, given the time. Just so you know, I haven't got a single 50 character, even though I've been playing since December and quite regularly. I just change my mind a lot and I enjoyed the fact that I wasn't penalized for my indecision (wasted time is not a penalty in my book). Then The World Event happened. At first I was delighted with all the new stuff I chould achieve, new set of absolutely useless combat-wise (Not a Consular/Inquisitor) but neat-looking gear, a pet, a title and 9 codex entries! I did it all and was quite content with myself. But then the event finished and I realized something that made me quite sad and disappointed: none of the alts I'll ever make will ever be as good as the character I played through the event, because they'll never be able to measure up achievement-wise. So my personal carrot is kind of rotten now, I don't feel inclined to make alts, even if I'm still curious about the stories, on my current server or any other. I feel more tied up to the character I have now and robbed of my freedom to make as many equal-in-opportunity alts as I want. And don't get me wrong, Events are great, but it does make me look back to old suggestions of making codex/titles/etc shared among legacy characters. That would be carrot for me personally. I'd be able to make my alts and keep my hoard accessible by any of them.
  11. That would come close to what I'm talking about but still would not quite be 'there', because it suggests that 'others' need to spend credits repeatedly in order to keep a stash of medpacks/adrenals, as opposed to a 'biochemist' only needing to buy a symbolic piece of gear produced by another crafter once.
  12. Rich people always have an obvious advantage over the poor, but I'm just trying to find a reason to level up a Skill on a PvP toon that's not Biochem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that I can just buy everything I need from other crafters and then have my reusables on top of that.
  13. I don't know the whole extent of what other Skills can craft, but why would it be unfair if Biochemists didn't have exclusive use of reusable stuff? Do other Skills have exclusive use stuff (barring Cybertech and their grenades, only because I know of them and also don't really see why they need to be exclusive as opposed to marketable)?
  14. Can someone actually remind me why the reusables were stamped with a Biochem requirement? If there weren't one, there would be the Biochemists' market to make credits and a reason for others to 'stay away' from Biochem and craft other things.
  15. I don't craft a whole lot for sale, but orange items do net a bit of credits, and a bit more if they are augmented. Apart from that I sell Companion Gifts to make up for mission costs.
  16. Augments and Mods/Armouring/Enhancements/Barrels/Hilts are two different categories of parts. In regard to the latter, what you were just told is true. Augments however were previously acquired through Slicing missions. Now those missions only yield schematics(?) to craft those Augments. So checking the GTN is your best bet on getting them. Hope that helps.
  17. That's exactly what I like telling myself as I'm being nuked, that even while I'm not being able to perform my direct purpose and heal my team, hopefully they are doing something useful while I distract the enemies.
  18. If people were reasonable enough to go along with this and actually put some thought into the scoreboard for the sake of their opponent, in the process helping them get more rewards from the game and become more of a pain for them in the future, I'd be interested in seeing those votes.
  19. I play a healer and usually get at least 1 vote, unless everyone is just too butthurt to vote and quit as soon as the game is over. I also tend to vote for the best healer first, then I check out DPS list and vote for the person nearest to the top whom I actually saw doing stuff. Sometimes I base the vote on objectives. Sometimes I don't get to vote because the person leaves and the button disappears. All in all I'm not offering you a good system here, just telling you what I in all my randomness do.
  20. I approve this message, because my \ key is next to my 1 key. So yes, File Ticket is my most used special ability.
  21. I loved breaking into some stronghold on Ord Mantell and hacking into their computer. A security dude and his droid show up to bust me. The droid says there are corpses everywhere.. ME: Oh no, sound the alarm, we're under attack. Droid: Scans show no hostile intruders.. ME to the dude: Your droid is malfunctioning, when was the last time you did maintenance? The dude believes me and leaves. ..because who needs combat skills whe you can cheat your way out of a fight?
