  1. For each item to be unlocked account wide it s a bunch of cartel coins again. Now make that 50 items? Also come on, the entire datacron quest again? The game is not like having sex. One time is ok. Why ppl want more content is because old content feels stale. Why ppl love pvp because every time it feels different and rewarding. Ppl game for fun, a lot of the fun is new things and new experiences. Would love to continue from where I am. Not do it all over again. I wouldnt want that on anyone. If I got confirmation today that server transfer would never happen, I'd play out a few more days and pass the game on to a friend in EU if thats allowed and move on, save the cash and buy Phantom Pain. Again why? cuz we play for fun which again like i mentioned is a new game and a lot of that fun in games is new things, locales, music, experiences overall. SWTOR is far faaaar from a great game. In fact its outirght boring in many ways. I have figuredout a tangent or let me rephrase I have bent my own way of playing and found a way to make myself feel happy in this star wars universe . Pvp, fp's, some interesting story missions and thats all. I barely ever roam the planets or space combat cuz they are terribly boring for me. So yea what may be ok for you is not ok forme and that applies to all individuals. Trust me I have considered re doing and it feels like a waste of time. A second job or something. If I can continue then awesome, if not, well all good things must come to an end.
  2. You see those are pitiful bonuses. For me I would lose a LOT. Just lvlling isnt the problem. Even if they gave me free lvl 60 boosts I would lose all the basic comms, wz comms as i pvp a lot, all my gear, about 19 mounts, so many fashion armors, pets, so many random items, my crafting lvls on toons, legacy bonuses on speed, xp, mounts etc etc Theres a lot to lose, Trust me I had considered starting new and I am sure anyone who thinks of starting fresh will feel the strain. There is a lot to lose. I cannot buy back that time, unless they come up with a pill for immortality. I dont play all day as I work n such so its a lot for me. I just want to keep enjoying the game, sadly I may have to move on. I tried, i really tried coming in at 7:30 pm canada time and sometimes i see 40 ppl on fleet, if im lucky my dps class gets 1 FP a week like really lucky. SO i switch to my lower lvl 36 Healer to just play an FP which again out of 40 ppl it takes a while. Now again that 40 is around the weekend. Usually on my free time its anywhere between 7 to 30 ppl max. So yea tough scenario. Ppl just remember, time and tide wait for none.
  3. I have 1 lvl 56 1 lvl 55 1 lvl 36 1 lvl 33 mostly well geared and lots of items on them as i have been playing on and off since early access on pre launch. yep a lot went into them and it would be a shame to lose them all. I dont have the time or energy to replay all of em. Just would be nice to transfer characters even in a haphazard way.
  4. I bet this has been brought up a few times in the last few years but once again in desperate plea I ask. Will we ever be able to transfer our characters from a Uk server to a US server? ever? like in the near future ever? I moved from London to Toronto last year. I tried playing it again from Toronto on a EU server and well the time differences make it so difficult to play. When I'm online in the evenings when I get free, there are like 8 ppl on the fleet on a EU server which makes sense obviously. I am finding it very difficult to continue playing the game as much as I love it but its slowly became a single player only experience which cuts out most of the game. It would be nice to get a definitive answer from the devs like a yes or no. If its in the future then please state from when so I can re subscribe from that date onwards. I bet there are probably many of us who travel and are in different timezones. Would be nice for this kind of feature to be implemented.
  5. Dear Mr.Deathmark. I have a very serious query. You see, I am under the impression that Huttball originated from (oh so darn obvious) the Hutts. So you need to understand what I'm about to ask you is of utmost importance. Are we ever going to see Hutts play Huttball? Regards 'Your GREATEST Fan' -Jedaii
  6. Thx for posting this. Will check it out
  7. Welcome to SWTOR I've been having these issues since Dec 2011. Have left the game 3 times and returned. I love it so much. Dam shame the devs dont know how to fix their own game.
  8. Simple question why'd the pvp -50 vendors get moved/removed?
  9. Bravo ur OP's personal fanboi TO the OP That was the lamest thing I read since yesterdays apple/pc thingy going on in n4g You assumed you understood the tech behind an assumed tech you made up and not sure of and made a final assumption based on an observation which is based on an assumed tech which you assumed exists because you assumed another game does it in the assumed way you explained. Whats with all the assumption. Re-read it and tell me if Im wrong. There are assumption from beginning to the end. Now Mr. Bravo umm lol nvm
  10. what goes on in a focus group? If its like a party then I may join
  11. I have to agree with the OP I have played a LOT of mmos in the past 11 years and SWTOR has one of the clunkiest combat that even extremely low budget terrible f2p games outdo. Ive been playing since early access and have tried all the classes during beta too and every class feels clunky, maybe the marauder feels a lil less but all feel off. The timings are off, animations and follow up skills feel a delay or dont smoothly sink into each other. Almost every alternate mob my guardian faces a glitch where the animation doesnt show and I dont know if the skill is done and have to look at the cooldown and skillbar thus making it a chore. This happens with every single class. There are many issues with the combat system which I really dont know how it even reached the beta stage. The game is pretty solid but I think many players don't admit it but somewhere in the back of their minds the combat is slowly annoying them like it did to me until I realized 'Yeah it was the combat itself that kind of bugged the crap out of me' Hopefully Bio sorts it out.
  12. I care Even if they dont have an Eve online style space game in here, I still think space missions like the ones we have now are important to the game, lore and extra options/playstyles are a breath of fresh air. I dont do space mission all the time but every once in a while I do it for the change and xp boost. Maybe with more alts I may only do space missions, campaign and FP's do lvl quick. So yea I am quite excited to see what this new space mission has in store for us
  13. Wow thats the most rude welcoming message ever. Dam Im seeing new lows on the internetzz everyday
  14. Lot of hostility and lot of positive thoughts. Did not expect ppl to be so agitated by my subjective opinion based on my personal experience. Suddenly everyones my master, brother, dad and enemy. One thing I do know, conditioning from different mmos play a huge role on community behaviour and Im noticing all that from the posts. I can say the ones that are neutral or positive have had some experience in what it takes to build a community the rest just want what they paid for not realizing this is not a paid tv channel and neither can it be judged like a product or a painting. Everyone elses time is as important as our own time put into the game, once we realize this only then do we begin to realize how important a positive community effect can have on the entire game. I ran past many ppl in game who never help/join up for quests. Its as if they know exactly what they want to do in terms of loot, quests etc. It makes me think they have been conditioned to play in that manner and not really want to team up and have some strategic and co-op fun. Somehow I get the feeling its just the day and age and not much can be done to change that. All new mmos will face this. Rift did some thing with dynamic teaming up on the field for public quests, join and quit any group anytime in a public quest. Maybe somthing similar could work here to somehow make ppl crash into each other. Like I said it is a world today where ppl arent very social and only do exactly what they think is right. There seems to be no space for adventure, new trusts, friends etc Reminds me of the film 'Crash.' Bioware need to make systems where ppl somehow crash into each other and socialise by accident. It all depends on our community. I remember the first days of PW, Rift, Aion etc and ppl were bashing n stuff and things were going downhill. PW picked up speed later because ppl werent feeling hurt by paying and the bashing reduced. But overall Rift and AIon were way better than the F2P PW(Perfect World) but certain paying customers just kept on and on. Its like they were treating the mmo like a product with warranty and calling customer support for everything. What they dont realise is this a very very social game. It is extremely important to encourage ppl and make it fun for ourselves. Look at your own community wherever you live in the world. It is livable because ppl around you have made it liveable, if its not then again its everyone's responsibility. So plz ppl do not take my words in a negative manner and Im not trying to point out any particular person and quote what he/she said or demean anyone. My advice is try not to pick at ppl's sentiments, live n let live. My early mmo career I did that and realised its bad effect. Today every forum on the net is about trolling, demeaning, picking up on every word someone writes. Lets just be positive for others if not for ourselves. Many are trying out the game and many want to play together, I know I do but how can I when everyone has their own selfish ambitions in the game. Ppl forget its a game and not everyone is going to pvp your *** and show off etc. Some ppl (inlcuding myself) just want to play with ppl, joke and have fun. I think many expect different things out of the game tho I cannot fully comment on what I dont know for sure also a consumer survey wouldn't help either. But for me I know I dont want this game to be Max Payne or Dark Forces, or Jedi Academy, Uncharted, Battlefield or anything. For that I have those games. Im looking to play with ppl in a fun Star Wars atmosphere with a new adventure, quests etc and go with the community for a long time. I hope there are similar ppl who want this. Also I apologize if ppl were confused, aggravated or were emotionally affected in a negative way by my posts.
  15. On 22nd of May I resubbed and faced an empty server. Created a new alt on Freedon Nadd and am now very happy. The empty server is the only big issue which I believe Bio can solve quite effectively. Not saying they need to do it this instant but slowly and careful with well thought out long term plans. Now why I think its the best MMO out there. A brief history of my MMO career is kinda needed (short recap in chronological order): Starting from 2004 (pls don't close the thread, its not an ad for other games only trying to relate to gamers who may have been in my shoes at some point and played similar games) MU Online (2 yrs) Runescape Shaiya Silkroad Perfect World (almost 3 yrs) Flyff WoW(2yrs) Aion Eve Global Agenda(1yr with Wow side by side) Rift DCUO Now SWTOR(planning to stick for a long time) There were numerous others I tried for a month or so. Recent Betas (last 3 months, not ones from last yr) Tera Firefall GW2 Tribes:Ascend GhostRecon:Online BL:Retribution Some smaller space ones were there too, forgetting names I had started playing Swtor since early access and then stopped for a bit to take a break. Mainly to look around and then confirm which game I want to stick with for the next couple yrs. Having scoured the net I can easily claim (for myself) that SWTOR is the best MMO out there and I believe it will be for a long time to come with Bioware backing us. Im not sure if I should list everything as to why I think it does but ppl who have played the other games I played will know what I mean. If you do need a comprehensive list of comparisons and reasoning as to why I feel so I can take some time off to write out a massive page for it, but I think you should actually find out for yourself how terrible the others are if you dont believe. I wont mention any particular names but some recent ones especially disappointed me, thankfully they did tho coz now Im back here for good. Played for couple days and now I know I cant go back to old systems and unpolished crap. I know 2 others who have resubbed and Im pretty sure I understand why they did so and I know many of you all will feel the same once all other mmos have releases and will realise how nice SWTOR was. Just get expectations out of your systems and have patience, give time to yourself and give time to the devs. I have played these mmos and every single one of them felt like betas and most still do after yrs of patches. SWTOR is the best MMO ever made and I believe it will be for a looong loong time. Edit/Re-position Lot of hostility and lot of positive thoughts. 16. Yea you wont believe it. It really is odd. Ppl were complaining that they cant log in during launch but then you go to the fleet and about 67 players online. Thats all 67. I thought maybe fleet area would have lesser players so I went to Tattooine for quests n such and there were bout 28 or so players. The game was frickin empty. I thought Rift launch was bad with ppl complaining n stuff but in reality on Rift's launch day you could actually count 200 ppl if you walked around on any given area. Rift was bloody crowded all the time. For rift they had some new kind of server system that made things work smoothly, no lag n such. Bioware and Ea could easily do so much better. What terrifies me is I think the game already died, regardless if they are still making money or not. Spiritually its dead, no player should ever have to log in to an mmo completely alone. Thats literally the worst thing that can happen to an mmo.
  17. Im playing on Trayus Academy Dammit its sad that it was just me alone for like 3 hrs. If I log into almost any decent f2p mmo I know for sure there will be a horde of ppl still ganking n stuff at this hour. Something needs to be done.
  18. Seriously what new kind of hell am I stuck in now? Lemme provide a brief recap of events before I tell you bout this new hell that Im sure most of you prolly know by now. 1. December last yr played early access Swtor and the first month. Was fun but very empty, barely ppl online so quit 2. Next few months went like this: Tribes Ascend beta Firefall Beta Guild Wars 2 beta Ghost Recon Online beta (not future soldier) Tera Beta 3. May 21st: realised Swtor was better than all of them in every way except that they needed to find a way to have more players in a server. 4. May 22nd resubbed for a month: Logged into my Jedi Guardian and played alone for 3 hours in Alderaan and literally was only 1 person there. I mean literally just me and my not so communicative Kara. I was also the only one from my entire guild 'The New Republic' who was online. Just to confirm im in London and its now almost 2pm so its not like im in an off time when ppl are sleeping and such. So yep I just bought a month of hell time it seems. Anyone got a spare pitchfork?
  19. Honestly the OP has a point. I have subscribed too but when I was doing this it reminded me of Rift when it launched and I had just got my debit card and was thinking what if I did'nt have one? Other MMOs do this too but that does not make the system right. Why cant players just play their free month? They paid for an ONLINE game and cant even get online? OP I too thought the same about the game card thing. If I did not have a cc then I would literally be forced into paying for extra month/s Im not going against the game itself. Its a brilliant game and OP your game time card will probably be worth it but the point is, why should this system exist?
  20. If anyone can objectively tell me what not to like about this game I'll give him my account n i'll get myself a new one. Gonna be tricky
