Midnight would be a lot better than prime time. Prime time being the busiest period and midnight being, well, not.

I bought something rare for a couple of million a while back, someone must have mispriced it. Their mistake, my gain. Aside from that I don't really bother with the GTN much. I check it every now and then and see if anything is cheap but I won't spend more than a 100k on anything.

That's what makes this expansion truly disappointing. Most of us liked this game but Bioware is making it harder and harder to keep liking it. With every expansion they have done their best to push people away. I don't know how things have got as bad as they have in this expansion, I don't who the hell thought this complete mess of a system would be good for gearing up and why they were foolish enough to think people would find it fun. Nothing about 5.0 makes any sense to me. Someone mentioned this being NGE of SWTOR and I have to agree, that is what this feels like. NGE in SWG caused a lot of folk to give up on it and i'm struggling to find a reason to keep my sub up. A lot of the changes are completely pointless and add absolutely nothing to the game. All this rng gearing does is artificially extend the content. It's not making it fun for people, it's dragging it out needlessly.

No you can't get her. It had nothing to do with early access, you needed to be subbed by the end of October. Deadlines exist for a reason, if you missed it you missed out. Unlucky.

I finally convinced my wife to play SWTOR after all these years and this is the welcome she gets. Stuck in the Arcann fight with no way to progress. She's now back on her old MMO. Well done Bioware, you managed to lose a player a week after they started. Normally she's pretty patient but that's a literal game breaking bug with no way to progress, she's not that patient. 3rd day of waiting for a fix and all that's been said is "we're looking into it". Absolutely pathetic.

Nothing i've seen has impressed me from what they showed. I think my time with SWTOR has come to an end now. They don't seem to have any idea what they are doing now and are just throwing stuff out to see what sticks. The command stuff looks truly awful. Arguably one of the worst systems i've seen in an MMO in recent memory. This game needed a different developer. The old Bioware before the decent staff and the founders left may have been okay but now, it's a shell of what it was and the absolute garbage coming out for the game shows. Either they don't care or they just don't want people to stick around or they really are so far out of touch that they think this is what people want.

Some people set up bank guilds. Basically you get a few friends to help you set one up and then they leave. You get a ton more storage space. It's a pretty common thing. I don't have one in SWTOR but I do have bank guilds in a lot of MMO's.

I did up to Eternal on Red Eclipse and that was painful enough. I made a character on Jedi Covenant because it has far cheaper prices on GTN, tried a few FP's and decided not to bother with DvL on this server. It's not so much group content I don't like, although I have always been a solo player, but I hate random groups. I used to stick with guild groups but because I take extended breaks there is no point joining a guild anymore. So, yeah, me and group content in this game really don't mix.

Don't confuse story with gameplay mechanics. The two generally contradict each other.

I'll be honest, I didn't like it. It was tolerable for one playthrough on each faction but it got boring, fast. The story is pretty bog standard, the characters are forgettable and I haven't touched it in a long time.

The noises I can live with, I never have game sound on, it's random companions appearing in my stronghold that freak me out. Running to the elevator after putting some decorations up and have 3 companions that aren't mine stood there staring at me. It's like those angels out of Dr Who. I'm too scared to blink.

And that, right there, is my feeling too. My plan is to see what 5.0 is all about and then take another extended break.

I play Red Eclipse, it has pretty regular pops when i'm leveling alts.

As someone who takes regular breaks, I never check the forums or keep up on new when i'm not playing. I was here during beta but only play for a month here and there, it's not a game I can play constantly. The last time I played was the start of 2015. When i'm not playing, I don't know if i'll come back or not. It's usually a spur of the moment thing not a planned decision. If I want a break from one of the 2 "main" MMO's I play or there is a game drought with nothing coming out then I might pick this up for a month. While it isn't down to Bioware to make sure there is a full server when I come back, I don't see why they would keep empty servers going. Amusingly, the server I first started out on no longer exists.

Wouldn't bother me either way. I don't buy CC and I don't buy from the CM. I use my monthly CC to unlock stuff in my collection I buy from the GTN and even that's stopped now. People are asking for a ridiculous amount of money for stuff on the GTN so I ignore the CM and very rarely bother with the GTN for CM stuff. Even if they put the stuff in packs up for direct sale I wouldn't bother. I pay for a sub and that is the only money I will ever pay towards this game. There is nothing that would make me buy CC or start spending on the CM.

All the servers are fine, floods of new and returning players have filled them back up, Bioware said so. They wouldn't lie.
