  1. Doing it on sm and hm... we never ran into this once. Only time it has ever happened is when the tank died. More than likely, someone pulled threat going into that phase and they were nuked instead.
  2. We didn't run into that. Once our tower player learned how to do it efficiently, it doesnt take long to fly through it. You are forever stuck hoping that player is good. It took him... 7 attempts to master it and now it is like clock work.
  3. Here is an idea. Work on improving your group as a whole before crying nerf. We raid 6-8 hours a week as well due to jobs, kids, school, etc and we cleared the entire dungeon in one night and cleared nm KP and hm Zorn the next night. We don't have time to raid like other raiding guilds but it doesnt matter when you are skilled and put 30 min on a training dummy with MOX to maximize dps. EC is fun because it is harder. Nerf it and it will be boring like EV.
  4. I never argued with you on the world boss. Your point on Zorn is invalid. There is nothing wrong with this spec on Zorn. I argued with all the bosses in EC that you were complaining about. You mentally pigeonholed yourself in MM to a point that you "tried" lethality and found 1 thing wrong. Instead of thinking logically and adjusting, you threw the whole spec away and went back to what you were comfortable in. If you want to do consistently lower dps by staying MM, feel free. Dont confuse the people who are looking for answers by claiming this spec is terrible because you cant adapt. The difference in damage is huge.
  5. Umm... what? I topped charts in our HM zorn kill last night and there was 0 problems with lingering dots. I didn't notice any problems with kephess either. Very easy fight. The problem with the adds on the second boss can be remedied by knocking them out of the shield. I run in, crouch, aoe knock back, grenade. There seems to be a huge biasy in your post. All the complaints have a very easy fix which allows the dps of lethality to shine. There is literally no comparison in damage. Even lethality has higher single target damage. The only 2 complaints of this spec that I have is: 1. When ccing trash, really annoying with grenade. 2. I am pulling threat hell of a lot more because of the huge increase in damage.
  6. Yes, I completely understand how it works. I didnt want to explain out all the details when most people don't care about the details
  7. Because it was a huge change with 1.2. They nerfed the stacking armor debuff. Full marks is 100% white dmg therefore all attacks are affected by armor. They no longer stack so naturally, all white dmg is nerfed. Poison is not effected by armor. Another side note. Lethatlity does not put up huge numbers. Just a lot of little numbers so it naturally deceives people.
  8. 3 instants. Thats it. You maintain 1300-1400 for the whole time after those 3 instants.
  9. The rotation you are using for lethality is completely different from the one I use to maintain over 1350-1400 dps on dummy. I throw the dots up first, followed by weakened shot, then cull. After cull, SoS. At this point, if everything is on cd and you have 80+ energy, snipe followed by instant rifle blast. Cull will be back off of cd so use it and reapply the dots since the strong versions are now wearing off. I never use explosive probe and rarely use snipe. It is not needed and too costly. I dont like interrogation probe anymore because it is affected by armor and its costly. The second thing, dont forget lethality gets a boost post 30% and applies weakened versions of your poisons if you can't reapply them for whatever reason. In the end however, it is whatever works best for you. I'll try the spec tonight on the dummy and compare them to my leth numbers. Clearing explosive conflict last night, lethality had me at top dps or second depending on which fight it is. Only the pyrotech using dots that avoids armor would beat me on certain fights. So far, it works well.
  10. It takes practice to do the lethality rotation. Also keep in mind that full lethality has an execute quality to it with the poisons post 30% which is not seen on training dummies for obvious reasons. I'll run some numbers with that hybrid build later tonight to see the results.
  11. Give you an idea of a break down. This is me on my training dummy with only the 4 buffs (no stim or anyone else on my dummy). http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Akarihjabi/Lethsniperdmg.jpg Gives a good break down of dmg.
  12. Sorry, misread. You want to clip the dmg. The weak dot does not produce enough dmg because it is only 15% of the initial dmg. I try to reapply as soon as the weak version is applied that way all the dots of the strong ticks and the initial weak dot has a chance to tick as i reapply. I tend to find myself having nothing to do at certain points of the rotation when everything is on cd and this would be worse (as well as your dmg) if you dont reapply the dots to overwrite the weak dots.
  13. When you apply the new ones, the weaker ones fall off. The problem with the weaker version is that they use the same icon as the strong ones so it is hard to keep track of which version is applied.
  14. I dont pvp much due to time restraints but from my reading, lethality seems like a bad choice because of cleanse. 30% of our dmg is poisons that can be cleansed.
  15. All my enhancements are power and surge. Gain 20 dps on one ability and lose power/surge for all my other abilities to make up 3% accuracy? So... that is roughly 3 enhancements to make up 3% give or take? That is a huge power/surge drop. Also, sounds like you stack surge? Why? Stack power is much better.
