  1. Indeed. My wife and I re-subbed to get started and be prepped for the new content around the end of January. We got all ready and were excited to begin the new stories. Then it happened. 1) The instances in the story line are all bugged. Sure there are work arounds for some, but I really have to wonder what fool QA ed this and then felt it was ready for anything short of Alpha testing. Perhaps the worst part is how the pinnacle fight in the story-line (or well, I think it is because it is bugged and you cannot get past it without being one-shotted 18 times) ; the fight with Darth Malgus is bugged to one shot players on STORY MODE. Story mode... I remember guildies laughing at people who needed help in story mode. The popular buzz circled around, "All it's for is to let you watch the cut-scenes and to pickup some XP!" Well, that isn't the case in the Malgus fight. I thought, at first it was because I was Melee (on a Marauder) then I discovered not only was the fight bugged but the Marauder had been stripped down so much people were quitting over the nerfing. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! I was to be disappointed even further with another example of developer incompetence. On the way to Malgus you must negotiate a stair path and fight enemies along the way. However, if you miss a group or one of them is blasted off the mountain it causes you to have to jump off and die to reset the fight. You cannot simply go back down the stairs and try the fight again nor can you jump across and trigger their drop - you gotta die. - - Well, I had a 2) and a 3) and my wife had a 4) through 8) but none of us have the time for that. So we just cancelled our subscriptions . This is the first time we have left a game and everyone immediately uninstalled it from their computer, but with people like this developing the game the best anyone can hope for is that once this project rolls over and dies they don't get jobs destroying any more of the games we like to play.
  2. In a world where FEELINGS mean more than facts there was never any chance that the ProGGieZ were gonna listen to a bunch of "UzerZ". Sad. .. This was a reasonably fun game with a great set of stories. Okay, enough commiseration. Facts of my experience on one of my maxed out (306 IL) t00nZ. ==> Literally every fight I had the lag went into the red and the game slowed to a point that I would be in jeopardy of surviving. That wasn't just boss fights, though those were worse (lag holes got up to 22 seconds in a couple of cases). Fights with trash was the same way. Now having said that the wife was able to play through and seemed okay. We both have the same Anti-Virus and we are on a mesh network (router) with 300 up and 300 down. I got past the UI changes. I didn't care for them much, but I did finally figure them out (no help to the game itself - Thanks VULKK. IMHO people who alter a known interface should AT THE VERY LEAST provide a link to some kind of an overview how the replacement interface works. After speaking further with the wife she did have problems, but they were different from mine. After going over them it was mostly (again IMHO) because she was ranged and I was melee. Now the story was indeed compelling and perhaps that is what really has me upset. I was given a glimpse of something quite enticing and then provided with a painful experience which ultimately denied me the chance to complete that story. Bottom line - they have 2 weeks to get this ... "mess" cleaned up. If not, well, I guess I can cancel two subscriptions and my wife and I can do something else with our time. perhaps even something productive.
  3. Sadly the Onderon Weekly is down to giving out just 100 Tech Fragments (there is another 400 in the box), as is the Personal Conquest Reward. Dunno why but apparently that has decreased. Also the boxes that all used to have a 100 Tech Frag ship inside now randomly provide that..
  4. Trans - Absolutely Amazing Report of the condition of 6.0 crafting. I totally geeked out there! I actually got the slide rule out and calculated the increases for my own crafts - then I cried...
  5. - Wait a minute... Didn't someone post in the very beginning of this thread that only constructive suggestions need be submitted; that there be no bashing of BioWare nor other persons posting in the thread. I find your copying that very statement and then insulting everyone posting here at once to be worthy of nomination to the "2019 MMO Forums, Troll of the Year Award".
  6. Other MMOs offer quests to go after specific items required for crafting. In the case where an item is more valuable than one which, say requires a two-part quest, the quest has three or more parts. However, all parts are doable solo, or in the case of the need to run an "FP styled instance" the player receives bonuses to allow them to solo it. In short the quests system can make it necessary to do a number of tasks to receive an object, but those tasks are doable and not excessive for the item level of the reward.
  7. I am curious. While I tend to feel the crafting is rather inaccessible I would ask, from those who actually ran it on the PTS (and not people who just want to interject) ==> Is it better, worse or about the same since 6.0 went live?
  8. We have been out for over three years and recently returned. Having ran one character (lovin' stories) up to 70 we now look to join a guild. Some things we are looking at / for and things we can provide. Positives we seek: - People are respectful of others - We don't wish to deal with the type of people we left on WoW - nuff said. - People are inclusive - Not looking to be carried at all, but it is nice when the leadership is accessible / friendly - Leaders Mentor people who learn to mentor people - I am all about mentoring in my business so I very much respect people who do so to others (doesn't have to be me - I just respect that sort of behavior) What we have; - Both Republic and Empire Characters - All classes & all stories - Craft most items to 500 - now working into the 600s - Crafting is my main thing - or was - I only tanked things to make the money and get the drops to craft - We play more on the Emp side than the Pub, but we do have both - We LOVE the stories - It is like being in the movie itself sometimes. - - looking to get involved in this next level of play - grouping Negatives; - I leave those off - I really hate to focus on that. contact in game; - Countessae - Emp or Saeno'sha - Pub
  9. Yep - and in 3 weeks the Sub on my three accounts runs out. I will vote with the wallet and take me another 18 month break. The wallet seems to be the only constituent which has a voice. Plying one's suggestions or reasons for enjoying the game or disliking a feature to the people in charge is like going to city hall. You cannot fight them with your voice. I must say that I and the family really enjoyed the Revan expansion and the things we did in that over the past 6 weeks. Sadly that is all going away along with not only the uniqueness of the comps, but the ability to go into a lvl 35 zone and not have it adjust to 65 on you. I am sure that many will continue unimpeded, but I want it my way and the reality is there are so many online game options it is unnecessary to simply go along paying for something that you don't care for. So... I say - not to be mean, rather to be forthright - If you don't really care for it do what I and my family are doing and cancel your sub and play / do something else.
  10. Great. I just came back to the game, after a year and a half off. I heard it was going to get allot better! I heard that they had added story content and were planning to greatly expand upon it. I had left because there was no storyline content, to speak of after the main class stories ended. Now, before that story can really take off (BTW - Revan was very very good, the wife and I loved it!) you are totally wrecking it with this planet sync thing. - Firstly, something like this needs an off switch. The reason I don't go back to Balmora has NOTHING to do with me not getting XP and EVERYTHING to do with farming mats, helping guildies get gear / finish quests, etc.. - Second, focus on the main event. Get the new stuff rolled out, bug fixed, invested and addressed - then come back and foul up the old part of the game for everyone that is 60. You have a great deal ahead of you and if you think there will be no bugs to fix when the XPack rolls out then you would be mistaken. It will certainly have problems. Now there won't be any place to go and kill time, because that too will be unplayable (in the sense that many would choose). - Finally, tell the truth! Please, just tell the truth. This is how you stop farming and power leveling the low level areas. Well, I believe in that you shall indeed succeed. Fortunately I just renew sub every three months so, I may be able to put it back on the shelf for a year or so and see how this pans out. - Unless the OFF Button gets added to Planet Sync in the next two months.
  11. I think the time has come to exit stage left (leave the game) after 2 great years of play. No point dissing, but I would like to encourage the devs - You did create a wonderful story line in the beginning. However over time your focus has been upon raiding only and some of we people which like to "drop in and play" (I have 3 accounts in the family that are paid every three months) have nothing to do once they finish all of the story lines, quests and crafting challenges. Some of us do not have the stomach for raiding - mostly for reasons outside of the control of Development peeps - so we look for new content that is playable by solo or duo. Sadly it has not come forth. I hope that this exit statement assists in helping to better meet customer needs in the future and I thank you for the fun that was had. Finally, while many may not agree you will have to admit that any game has many which come to it for differing reasons. I just wanted to put in my message rather than to just quit and there be no communication to development. You never know - there could be a big X-Pack in the future and back we can come. Till then good luck to everyone else!
  12. I have just one question. When will there be new Story and play that would allow us to continue the rich stories that brought us into this game? I am thankful that there is a dedicated team of developers working in this once doomed, now flourishing game system. However, not all of us raid or have the time / energy to continue building up item level alone. I like crafting, for instance, having a crafts master in every one of the possible fields. I would love to see that expand for higher levels; that is approaching level 65 or 70. I also love the stories of the various classes, but having played all of them to their ends I am long past ready to see them continue in their richness. I realize that I have said "I" an awful lot, but others, like my wife and some friends which yet play the game, have suggested that it sure would be nice to continue the story. Please DEVs, give it some thought.
  13. I was at a total loss as which one to select. I read the opinions of others online and struggled a bit. Then I noticed the selection, Speak with them first. So I did. It reminded me of my own board selection process in the military. I asked Jorgen and he became defensive and all but suggested that there should be no need to weigh this decision. He was in charge before and he should be in charge now. Dorne was not capable of making the hard decisions that he was. I asked Dorne and she suggested that she had what it takes and pointed out all of her accomplishments and medals. She suggested that Jorgen was a fine soldier, however, his abrasive demeanor was a detriment to the squad. EXACTLY. I lost my first command bid for being a "drill sergeant". I late was moved to command when I realized that people in advance combat positions MUST be connected to more than simple order barking and in your face commands. My own team was advanced many times because we functioned as a connected team. After a time I became "the ole man" and was looked to for leadership, support and reassurance when necessary. I promoted Dorne. But then, after I ended typing all of this prattle I recalled, it's just a game.
