I hope it's not another kek fuel yellow post. I suggest you read all the pages carefully and pay a visit to Reddit too. No one in their right mind wants to grind content that he doesn't like to get geared in 2 months...on one toon. Despite what you think you will achieve with the new gear, the most likely outcome will be, as history has shown, to lose subs. Fix your damn mess and let us keep on with our lives and our game.

That is if you do all the weeklies required. With as many alts as possible....and get super lucky with artifact crates or wt the f they are called...and endless grind in Ossus with all these alts. Realistically speaking we are talking about 2 weeks minimum for full 252 per alt which means 6 weeks for 258 minimum per alt. In reality though it will take even more time because not everyone will be able to do every single weekly on every single alt.Double that s**t if you have a tank alt. All that at the back end of an expansion that lost many subs due to a broken gearing method.

Oh I don't know, maybe something along the lines of doing the Ossus weekly with multiple chars at once thus getting 252 gear in many alts that can be used to move gear pieces within your legacy or doing group ranked with bots at dead server hours maybe? I don't want to give you more ideas so I'll just stop here.

Look mate, not everyone has bots and not everyone multiboxes so people will have to actively grind for months for this gear. Shocking for you I know. Grats for your solo kills achievements in Yavin and Vandin wz's btw. You must be a great multi...errr...pvper.

So this new gearing system is...less complicated than just introduce expertise again now...kek. I did enjoy the tl;dr though i must say. Buy from crafters (aka GTN) to...speed up the process. Interpretation : we made grind so horrible for you to bare that you will need in game credits to go BiS. Use that credit card of yours please, we need da money. Spoiler alert... you will lose subs.

The experstise system was the most alt friendly system and everybody kmows this. There was even a dev thread back in the days stating that pvp grind is too much we will reduce it and then they cut the costs and introduced legacy wz comms. Starting from scratch, that was the best system. If you were casual you had a full set in less than a week (204).If you were serious, in 2 days. BiS was 208 you had that in 2 weeks.Compare this with all the guys in pvp today that have less than 120k hp and tell me how is the current system better. Actually don't i am done arguing with you. You lost all credibility...6-8 weeks, hahahahahahahaha!

Rofl, 2 years mate, are you insane? Raiders have unassembled components too you know, like everyone else, but more of them. So they will be able to gear up with UC and from MM gods on top of that. They will have gear drops to spare. I wouldn't underestimate the current stock of CMT's either. It's more than you like to admit, if you admit any at all. So you say 2 years...i will say 2-3 weeks.

Wow! This is so trash that it does't even belong in the recycle bin. A full set of pvp gear cost was ~4500wz comms. A win gave you ~120, a loss ~80 so lets assume ~100 per game. Daily reward was 100 and weekly was 300. Now do the effing math. In less than 10 effing days, playing super super casual you had your set and a few hundred comms to spare for min/max. 6-8 weeks you said. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

As for the second issue you raise, the answer is simple : agency. Having progression and control over your stats, even your looks, enables agency and helps immersion. Making your char exactly as you want him both in stats and in appearence is a core element in any mmo/rpg.

It took a week to get a full set of pvp gear with casual play. It takes more than that to get a SINGLE piece of 248 gear now. Either way you need different gear for PvE and PvP even today. You don't need 110% accuracy in PvP so you have to swap a couple of pieces anyway.Swapping a whole gear set will cost you 10 more seconds. Come on man.

A 252 bolster cap would be preferable because bolster doesn't exactly make a good job with the tertiary stats and with force and tech MH/OH bonus damage. Still, 252 bolster is better than 248 for what it's worth. Just make 258 MH/OH weapons obtainable with MWS. There must be a clear progression path with UC. Also mods beeing bound to specific piece of gear is a min/max abomination. I am glad to hear though that expertise is back in the conversation even if we have to wait for an expansion. Wipe all my credits, my UC's, wipe everything i don't care...just bring 3.0 and 4.0 gearing method back in pvp. Let us play our alts freely again and let us try different stat builts with the mod vendors. Edit : Eric, i noticed you used this phrase "If there is no gear chase from PvP that removes all progression from PvP gameplay and it also removes a part of the reward structure". That is good and all, but 5.10 is all about PvE gear chase. There is no way to get the gear exclusively by PvP. That's where all the problems are.

I guess devs agree that current system gearing method for pvp is a mess and expertise was a good system. You used to say that experstise was bad. So you were wrong for once more. Imagine that.

Topkek. Claiming that pvp is a grind and we need variation is like saying that all football games are the same because they are played in the same field. Every game is different. It's not like pve where you can pretty much script 90% of the encounter. Pvpers have all the variation they need in pvp. Normally, we don't mind doing some pve here and there as long as it's not forced upon us, lasts too long and is mandatory for our success in pvp. How would you feel if you have to play pvp for 2-3 hours a day for 2-3 months straight, just to gear up 2-3 alts of yours for pve? Yeah, no need to answer that! I am sorry that the whole concept of pvp is far beyond your realm of understanding but you seem to have a genuine hatred against pvpers. I guess when you tried to queue for pvp you got globalled and you never recovered from this brutal experience. Well,that's what pvpers do mate. They ruin the lives of special snowflakes that can't handle defeat in a digital world. They stomp kittens.

NiM players can farm the new gear with all the ways that i described in my guide...with the addition of doing the new MM Gods and get the drops and do the crafting. So according to logic, by far the fastest way will be to be a NiM player. Also don't underestimate the current stock in CMT's. It's more than you think. Or the ability of NiM raiders to farm the new ops with their alts thus creating a new stock of the needed components. The new gear will hit the market sooner than you guys think. Maybe even around Xmas. Heck i should have included that in my Paying sector : Get yourself a Xmas present, buy the new gear with your credits! Enter the new year as powerfull as you can possibly imagine. Be the man that your mother always dreamed! Make your family proud etc...

New gear tier is upon us! Do you find yourself in awe, scratching your head around the best way to get it? Worry do not! This guide will give you all the possible ways to earn the new flashy gear that will help you dominate and be the overlord that you always dreamed of. Needless to say, this guide is not for the NiM players and the crafters : you ain't fun.It's for everyone else! There are 3 ways you can get the new gear : Playing, Paying and Praying. Some of course are more efficient than others so lets get started! Playing. This is expected to be the most common way used. You can get the gear by earning masterwork shards (MWS). You can get these bad boys by grinding the weekly heroics and reputation on the new Ossus planet. Do it with as many alts as you can. Do it until you hit the weekly cap and then do it some more. That is 4 FP's per alt, so if you have 10 alts for example that's 40 FP's per week. Sounds awesome, doesn't it? There is an effective throttle that will slow you down to snail levels. You can only buy 2 MWS per char per week so you'd better utilize all these alts of yours that you created with only pvp in mind (oh my sweet summer child). It doesn't matter that your main focus is pvp. You have to grind Ossus storyline, heroics and reputation in all of them like everyone else. You are not special! Good thing that reputation is legacy wide but we might as well consider changing it for the lolz! Paying. This will be the fastest way according to the devs! Do you have billions of credits seating quietly and collecting dust in your legacy bank? This is your lucky patch! You can chill out, stretch your legs, enjoy a glass of wine and let the other players do the grind for you. Soon the new gear will be available on GTN. Buy it and laugh at the 18 Ossus instances and at all the nub guild wipes in MM Gods! You are the man, you are the God. You earned your gear! Enjoy it! Of course not all the players are rich. Don't worry, i got you covered. I will not speak about the illegal way. It's against the ToS and will get you banned so don't do it. You have been warned! The best way to get easy money is to buy from cartel market and sell the stuff to GTN. All you need is a credit card and your dads permission. Plus, EA could use all the extra money to develop Anthem. You are doing a great service to the studio. You are a loyal customer and your reward for all these money spent is your new gear! Praying. Praying is the least efficient way and requires tons of willpower (mastery since 3.0 ). MWS will rarely drop from Command crates at level 300 and above. The actual chance of dropping is very low but fear not! there is a way to increase this chance and make the hunt for these precious things even more exciting! New cartel market item : Treek Masterwork customization! Every time you are about to open a command crate summon your favourite companion. She will automatically repeat the following mantra 3 times (in Ewokese): rngesus is my Lord and i shall fear no junk drops. By doing this you increase your chance for a MWS drop by 0.0001%. Pro tip : for every time you do this the chance for a drop is increased by 0.00000000000001% in the next crate! Buy one with 30% discount until December 6th, 9999 cartel coins only! It's not a deal, it's a steal!!! Remember : it's all about belief... Ummmm...that's all folks.
