I have to say thank you to Bioware. you have made it real easy to not sub for the next 9 months. i reskin of a companion already in game, future "hk themed" rewards are uninteresting to me as i dont like the first hk introuced into the game. and of course waiting 9 months before resubbing will allow me to have a story burst of similar length to the actual expansion

they are gonna add r2d2 and c3p0 into cm store. if not probably an annoucnemnt relaunching a new refer a friend system

i dont play fps games so no i'm not playing battlefront. I reinstalled eq2 and started a chacter on the progression server

I'm also cancelling over the changes to the companions, i think i will spend my swtor money on going back to everquest 2 and the time locked progression server. thank you bioware for making a fun game, then taking it away

i like the changes so far, i dont quite understand the whole mastery thing, but i with the datacrons it actually makes it a good thing as all aim,willpoer,strenth and cunning datacrons are now mastery. i like not having to armor each compaion it makes it easier to take along diffrent compaions rather then sticking to one because the other companions gear is not upgraded

Wow that sucks. I remember when i was playing eq2 when they decide to put the whole game ftp not just one server. SOE was smart enough to realized the outrage it would cause people who had charaters on both the reg servers and the one ftp server. and after alot of fuzzy math posts made sure that everyone could play any of the characters that they had made before the date of the ftp server being merged into the reg server selection

Actually EQ2 does charge free players to equip the top teir of gear, and SOE requires you to buy an unlocker for each piece of equipment you want to equip

actually the seasons follow the equinoxs and solsitces. fall is from the autuminal equinox (approx sept 20) to the winter solstice (dec 20). winter from the solstice till the vernal equinox (mar 20) and spring till the summer solstice ( jun 20)

i don't think the game will be around long if they don't learn how to communicate with their customers properly. SW:ToR needs to take a look at the commincation that the secret world, and final fantasy 14 do with their customers to keep them informed. the secret world is giving their customers, weeks of notice when the next game update is coming and whats in it. final fantasy the producer of the game is giving constant updates on where the game is going and what is coming out next. If SWToR's team won't do this then this game will fail

If they are gonna copy The Secret World's content plan, new content every 6 weeks. they they should also take a hint and copy from them the fact that they blog what is going to be in the next content patch right after they push out the patch. Bioware has lost my trust when they say 'more content, and sooner then the last time' because so far they havent kept that promise. a one week limited time event is not content in my opinion

to the OP you do not speak for me, nor did I ask you to. I have my own voice and am quite capable of using it when I wish.

sure they will come, you just have to be patient and wait for the cash shop that will be coming with free to play. We can always hope that they would get the cash shop up and running and add it to game with these to buy before ftp but I don't think that will happen

fourm access for free players ? no thank you. That would encourage is for people who get banned from the fourms to just open a new account and continue what they were doing to get banned for in the first place. . free players access to the chat system? no thank you. With Ftp there will come many more gold sellers. allowing free accounts access to chat is a great way to insure that gold spam will be flooding the chat channels. When they get banned they will just open up a new account

i wouldn't mind paying for: extra character slots using cartel coins for legacy unlocks in stead of in game curreny, not for removing the legacy level requirments buying legacy armor sets pets and speeders what i wouldn't pay for is: legacy bank. I strongly feel that that should be enabled at the start of the legacy system along with choosing a name. and for armor, it will just completely kill the crafts assoicated with it. I saw it with EQ 2 , every month there is more armor, weapons, and furniture in the cash shop. not once ever has any of the items in the cash shop made it into players recipe books. Adding items like that to the shop will certainly kill off armortech and synthweaving entirely

Has BW said anything at all since the guild summit? there all the layoffs and a complete restucturing of the game. so is it still being worked on, or is it just quietly being swept under the rug?

launch date is only "soon" i for one hope it launches this month otherwise what have they been doing since 1.3. and they had promised us more frequent updates after 1.3, well after 1.2 as well.

You also forgot they have to get their art department to come up with some "cool" graphics for cartel coin cards to be sold in stores, and have marketing make a decision wether or not to have seprate game time cards or cartel coin/game time option on the cards. and then of couse get them manufactured and out to stores at the time ftp hits. cant have a ftp game without a cash shop card in CVS that would just be bad form.

well i know that BW has said, dont remember where, that there won't be any additions to the class story for more then a year. I would call that a lack of future content right there. that would only leave side quests for new planets more pvp maps raids and space levels for content. and none of that would be what i would called additons to story. and for a story based mmo that to me means no content, just filler

Well the way i read it, the game is going ftp sometime in august so I would guess that in 2 weeks we will get update 1.4 and ftp. but the complaning will go on for longer until anyone that is quitting over this has found a new game to play

Well ftp is probably a good idea. When Everquest 2 opened up freeport as a free to play server it actually quickly became one of the most populated servers, and for all the people who were raging about quitting when ftp came the game is still as healthy as before. My other thought is , um we've heard the more updates sooner from BW before. As a matter a fact right before your last update 1.3 when you promised more updates in a more timely manner. Then you all apparently droped everything you were working on and started coding the ftp stuff. BW why should we believe that you this time ?

you can inspect people when they are next to you just target them then right click their portrait and find the option inspect player. i do not think however that someone should be able to see your class and level from clicking on your name in chat, all that will do is lead to a bunch of "shut up noob your only level x" in chat

i too think they are discriminating, they let female tank in bikinis now but male toons have no speedo/loin cloth outfits to tank or heal while objectifing their bodies as well.

so i was reading the comminty blog from last week, and the first response made me cringe: "Daniel Erickson (Lead Game Designer): As we come to the end of our big must-have features (like Group Finder), updates are driven more and more by the community. Expect to see far more of the smaller quality of life requested features (color matching for companions, chat bubbles, etc.) start to get real traction under them in the near future." so the way I read this is that sgra has been scrapped, there has been no recent response by a dev to let anyone know that they are still working on it for them to come out. the silence and that statement make me think that it just wont be added. It would be nice for reassurance but that would assume that any dev person acutally looks at this thread anymore
