You're right. I didn't think of it that way. Having presets to choose from like you suggested sounds like a good way to bypass it though.

At the very least, it'd be cool if you could toggle a setting on the character sheet to temporarily dye your armor with your guild colors and maybe an emblem. That's the way CoH did it.

Just to confirm - F2P players don't get forum post access?
viewtifuldee replied to Stoofa's topic in General Discussion
In my opinion, preferred players should have the ability to post in the forums (with limited access, like replying to an existing post, but unable to create a new thread). Completely free players should be able to at least post in the customer service forums. They want people who have problem to at least be able to find help. Otherwise, they'll stop playing altogether and will definitely never buy anything. The case most people seem to have against free players posting in the forums is trolling. There's not entirely true. Yes, I see one idiot higher in the thread who's living out the stereotype that all free players are trollish, but for the most part, free players can be just as generous as paying players. -
I think most of them have two versions: single character and account wide. I'm like you. I only care about the story and some things to do with guild members. I'll be paying to unlock two quickbars and hide head slot. All of the other things don't really matter to me.

Feedback Request: Moddable Outfits

How about the ability of Dark Jedi to wear some of the Sith robes and Light Sith being able to wear some of the Jedi robes. -
I can definitely understand where you're coming from about feeling "jipped," but Bioware/EA is in this, first and foremost, for the money. I'm sure they probably had some analyst or something come in a estimate the highest price people would be willing to pay for a completely virtual and nontangible item.

I love this idea. Maybe they could do it like CoX does. You have to perform a series of quests in order to slowly defect. For instance, in CoX, you go from Hero>Vigilante>Villain. A Jedi could go from Jedi>Fallen Jedi>Sith. (If I'm breaking any rules for mentioning the "competition," I'll gladly edit it out.)

I have to admit. I love the effect of the grass growing as you approach it. I mean, it's unrealistic and crazy, but I love it anyways.

To be fair, that reply was to this post by another user: Now, in my opinion, the game looks okay. I would have preferred a different engine that maybe looked a bit more realistic instead of stylized, but this is just as fine. At least it doesn't look like Clone Wars Adventures. And off-topic, I enjoy FFXIV. I can't wait for v2.0 to come out.

I'd defintely love this. JK's finale was awesome. I want to be able to replay that moment. FFXIV has something similar in the form of a journal, except it only plays cutscenes. The holo "library" in our ships would be perfect for this.

FP ninjas - why I just left the game.
viewtifuldee replied to sithrommie's topic in General Discussion
Well, if a player is constantly rolling need on items and you just have to keep him on the team, then the entire group can just decide to roll need on everything. Then, everyone has a chance to win. Of course, the "loot ninja," wanting to be different will start rolling greed. Then he won't be much of a loot ninja anymore. Bottom line: If another person is only rolling need, then just roll need as well to counter them. Thankfully, I've never come into such a situation. Every team I've played had people who only rolled greed, or at least asked to roll need beforehand. -
I wouldn't mind being able to at least whisper friends who are on the other side. At least then, it would be easier to set up meeting times and whatnot while in-game.

Uncomplicate the gearsystem and seperate looks from stats
viewtifuldee replied to Deluria's topic in Suggestion Box
We definitely need free mod removal. I wanted to switch the mods of my old gear to another chest piece that I bought. It costed me over 50k. I'm not exactly rich yet. I love this idea. -
Has anyone ever fake disconnected while helping you
viewtifuldee replied to DragonAgeOrgins's topic in General Discussion
I've thought of "fake disconnecting" before whenever I'm in a group that's starting to show signs of impending drama. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like confrontations, not even in a game. Anyways, since the transfers, there having been instances of the game disconnecting. I'm sure he wasn't trying to get out of helping you. -
Things that need to happen now that communities exist

I like how DCUO does it. You have a single server depending on how and where you play. For instance, PS3 players in the US play on the US-PS3 server. Pretty straightforward. Each server also has a PvE and a PvP phase. So, if you're in the mood for some open world PvP, you can use a special teleporter to switch to the PvP phase and do some open world PvP. If, later on, you find that you want to just do some quests without having to worry about being attacked, you can use the special teleporter to switch back to the PvE phase. And with SWTOR stating the possibility of megaservers, I'm sure they could implement something similar. -
Yes. An appearance type would be perfect. Wear the gear you want for appearance, while having another gear slotted as stats. It would make things so much simpler.

I think the Hutts taking over the GTN thing was more of an in-character explanation of what is supposed to be an economy improvement than a hint of a third faction. That being said. I wouldn't mind if the Hutts was added as faction. Though, I think it would take a lot more work to do it. They would need new storylines, more voice work, possibly new classes, new gear, benefits for joining the faction, etc. I think they're more concerned with making money than spending more money at this point.

It's mostly the grindy Asian MMOs that have horrible F2P systems. However, I can think of a ton of F2P games that "do it right." Of course, you're going to have people who stick their fingers in the ears and scream "F2P is bad!" despite being given countless examples of it working out.

I am totally in agreement with this statement.
