  1. You're right. I didn't think of it that way. Having presets to choose from like you suggested sounds like a good way to bypass it though.
  2. At the very least, it'd be cool if you could toggle a setting on the character sheet to temporarily dye your armor with your guild colors and maybe an emblem. That's the way CoH did it.
  3. In my opinion, preferred players should have the ability to post in the forums (with limited access, like replying to an existing post, but unable to create a new thread). Completely free players should be able to at least post in the customer service forums. They want people who have problem to at least be able to find help. Otherwise, they'll stop playing altogether and will definitely never buy anything. The case most people seem to have against free players posting in the forums is trolling. There's not entirely true. Yes, I see one idiot higher in the thread who's living out the stereotype that all free players are trollish, but for the most part, free players can be just as generous as paying players.
  4. I think most of them have two versions: single character and account wide. I'm like you. I only care about the story and some things to do with guild members. I'll be paying to unlock two quickbars and hide head slot. All of the other things don't really matter to me.
  5. How about the ability of Dark Jedi to wear some of the Sith robes and Light Sith being able to wear some of the Jedi robes.
  6. I can definitely understand where you're coming from about feeling "jipped," but Bioware/EA is in this, first and foremost, for the money. I'm sure they probably had some analyst or something come in a estimate the highest price people would be willing to pay for a completely virtual and nontangible item.
  7. That's how freemium works. You can either spend a lot of time getting something naturally or spend some money to get it almost instantly. I've never heard of someone complaining about something being cheap, though. This is new, especially for EA.
  8. I love this idea. Maybe they could do it like CoX does. You have to perform a series of quests in order to slowly defect. For instance, in CoX, you go from Hero>Vigilante>Villain. A Jedi could go from Jedi>Fallen Jedi>Sith. (If I'm breaking any rules for mentioning the "competition," I'll gladly edit it out.)
  9. I have to admit. I love the effect of the grass growing as you approach it. I mean, it's unrealistic and crazy, but I love it anyways.
  10. To be fair, that reply was to this post by another user: Now, in my opinion, the game looks okay. I would have preferred a different engine that maybe looked a bit more realistic instead of stylized, but this is just as fine. At least it doesn't look like Clone Wars Adventures. And off-topic, I enjoy FFXIV. I can't wait for v2.0 to come out.
  11. I'd defintely love this. JK's finale was awesome. I want to be able to replay that moment. FFXIV has something similar in the form of a journal, except it only plays cutscenes. The holo "library" in our ships would be perfect for this.
  12. Well, if a player is constantly rolling need on items and you just have to keep him on the team, then the entire group can just decide to roll need on everything. Then, everyone has a chance to win. Of course, the "loot ninja," wanting to be different will start rolling greed. Then he won't be much of a loot ninja anymore. Bottom line: If another person is only rolling need, then just roll need as well to counter them. Thankfully, I've never come into such a situation. Every team I've played had people who only rolled greed, or at least asked to roll need beforehand.
  13. I wouldn't mind being able to at least whisper friends who are on the other side. At least then, it would be easier to set up meeting times and whatnot while in-game.
  14. We definitely need free mod removal. I wanted to switch the mods of my old gear to another chest piece that I bought. It costed me over 50k. I'm not exactly rich yet. I love this idea.
