  1. That isn't a nerf. That is a bug fix. There is a very big, and very overlooked, difference Nerf: Reducing the output of an intentional design (ability in this case) that was performing too well. Bug Fix: Correcting a design (again, ability in this case) to function as intended. Here is a relevant example Nerf: Reducing the benefits of conveyance. Healing Trance: Critical chance has been reduced to 15%, down from 25%. Deleverance: Cast time is reduced by .5 seconds instead of 1 second. Benevolence: Now reduces cost of Benevolence by 25% instead of 50%. Salvation: Force cost reduced by 15% instead of 30%. Bug fix: Fixing Conveyance to only be allowed to enhance one ability, as intended and mentioned in the tooltip. IE: Healing Trance consumes Conveyance when the ability begins channeling instead of when the cast is completed. Conveyance tooltip for reference: Bolded the key word. Also note the singular in ability.
  2. Taken from the Maintenance post. Just have to utilize your reading skills. Still, making it more visible wouldn't hurt.
  3. I like to write a fiction for my school Lit. Magazine so I usually go with the names of the characters I happen to be writing about. I'm currently writing about an Amnesiac girl and her twin brother, Raven and Laden Cross. Unfortunately, it seems like Raven was too close to Revan, so I had to make it Ravin. Grrr. Ravin Cross lvl 50 Sage Laden Cross lvl 0 Guardian (changing from Sentinel eventually.)
  4. While it is a disappointment, it would be wrong to write it off as a loss. Some of us have discovered some pretty amazing things. There are two sides to a coin after all. Our brains always pick out the negatives and put them in a spotlight. We commonly forget to look at the good.
  5. Might I make the small statement that a mere title (Force Power) has no bearing on what is being discussed? The OP clearly states what he is talking about, and most of the responses have been very accurate.
  6. Jedi Sages have their Force Power increased to 500 by becoming a Sage. They can further increase this to 600 through talents. Jedi Shadows however, have their Force Power fixed at 100. I don't know if they can increase it, but they will never have 500/600.
  7. I have to agree. I would much rather of had Kotor 3. Having said that, I still think TOR can be a great game given some time.
  8. To anyone trying to get the good old KOTOR games to work, this resource might prove helpful. Click me!
  9. Just thought you might want to read this In particular, this part: Have a nice day!
  10. You will be surprised what people will buy off the GTN. Many of the greens you can loot will sell, as long as you ask a reasonable price. Another thing people seem to do is buy the extended inventory space. Don't buy anymore than the first one. Its a waste of credits while leveling. The additional Cargo Bay can be useful if you sell items in bulk at the GTN. Stash all your greens in there. But again, you don't need it. Selling the gray loot is an incredible way to make money. While this is at 50, I sold a whole bunch of it for 35k credits. In the mid twenties you should be able to sell grays for 5k or so.
  11. You gain more than 10 rested xp per minute. Its more like you gain 1 rested xp per 1.5 seconds. (No math done, just taking an educated guess) It may be as others said, level dependent. At level 41, my Sage maxed out rested xp at around 330k, which was the same amount it would have taken me to level up from 0.
  12. You don't get many conversations with Kira until you finish Act 1. One of her first major conversations deals with the events at the end of Act 1.
  13. There are two different types of conversations you can have with your companion. They are as follows. Private: You can talk with your companion at any cantina. Ship: You can talk with your companion only while on your ship. You can tell where you need to go by mousing over the conversation icon on your companion's portrait. It will say that they want to talk to you in private, or on your ship. There are some bugs regarding companion conversation, in particular with Kira. Take a look at the Jedi Knight forums for Kira's bug. Sometime the companion portrait will show the conversation icon. This is a bug. To find out if your companion really wants to talk to you, right click your companion as you would any other npc. If they say they want to talk to you, its real. If they ramble on about making a good team or something of the sorts, then they have nothing to say to you.
  14. I just want to add that you only need to be in a an area that is designated as a "Rest Zone" to obtain rested experience. There is no need to log off. You can see this by going to the fleet and mousing over the experience bar and about every second your rested experience pool will increase.
  15. Check your keybindings. I seem to remember there being a keybind to rotate 90 degrees.
  16. From my experience it seems to cycle in new missions every time a companion completes one. It doesn't have to be a successful mission either.
  17. The problem with this is that the trainer lists the mods as skills to buy just like the Crystals/Hilts/Enhancements/Off Hands. It should be fixed to avoid confusion.
  18. Devs have stated that there is indeed a combat log on the way. The one they had been making was inadequate and was scrapped. No need to worry here, might as well stop complaining about it until more information is given. Target of Target Frame would be nice to have, but it is far from needed. In many cases the simple act of stating a preferable kill order (in most cases the one that will also be the main focus of the tank) will solve most of your problems. Don't be afraid to communicate. Don't want your healers or other group members to get attacked by a mob? Once you get rid of tunnel vision you will be able to easily see that the blaster fire/charging mob is not headed in your direction. All you need to do is target and taunt. Macros are just as bad as they are good. Being able to macro an entire ability rotation to a single keybind is lazy and does not better you as a player. With the GCD you can already be spamming your next ability before you can even attack again. You won't gain much of reaction time there. Furthermore it reduces the need to actually play the game. Yes, you might be able to reduce the chances of pressing the wrong key. But when you compare a skilled macro user to a skilled non-macro user you will see little difference. A person who has 50 keybinds will know where those keybinds are and rarely make a mistake. This would be nice to have, but far from required. A Scale-able UI however, is not a valid argument because it is heavily based on preference. There are just as many people that are happy or content with the current UI as there are people who are unhappy with the current UI. Hate to bust your bubble on this, but Mouseover healing is not the only effective form of healing. Pretty much as long as the healer is not drag healing (in WoW I believed this was called the "blue hand") they can heal efficiently. For Example, there are many Target Healers who are far better than Mouseover Healers. And the exact opposite is also true. Addons, just like Macros, are good and bad. Many amazing addons can (and have) been made that don't change gameplay. And then there are many that have. The latter can promote laziness. If the group is so reliant on knowing precisely when (in advance) Super Bad Sith/Jedi Lord/Master is going to use his Devastating Force Fart then you are doing something wrong. If you (as a group) can't react quick enough when the boss starts his three second cast then you need to better yourselves, not use a crutch. Now, I only post in the smallest hopes you can understand that your opinion is not the universal truth. And neither is mine. You are free to ignore everything I have said, which all comes from experience. (Through myself and friends.) Now if you excuse me I think I will go make a chicken sandwich and continue crafting my epic lightsaber crystals and robes.
  19. You can find a nice little post about server forums here.
