  1. we'll probably get 50 cartel coins as reimbursement...
  2. I'm going to use my imagination and pretend you didn't try and troll this post with the "It's the bling, not the stats" ..thanks for the derailing. and I do appreciate those who completely understand what I'm getting at here... I didn't even bring up the 1.5+ million for each armoring and barrel I spent on my HK-51 ...not to mention the RANKED mods enhancements he had... all to be squished into "valuable droid parts" that I sold for a whopping $125k 9 x 1.5 million = $125k? no.
  3. "in other forums..." does not apply to this post. "carebear" is someone who only does PVE.
  4. a "carebear" is a term I picked up from Eve Online... people who do NOT do PVP at all.
  5. Prophecy of the Five PVP server (to set the precedent) Guild Flagship : $50 million credits. Actual Uses : 5% buff to Damage/Healing/Survivability/Hit Points, Group "Summon" (which of course works best when you're on the same planet already) Enter the villain... SWTOR:KotFE and its little buddy... PLANETARY SCALING. Planetary Scaling renders the flagship buff useless. There is no difference in stats between planetary buffed toon and someone who is not. $50 million pretty much half down the drain, not to mention any time you have given a planet Orbital Support since the patch... that's $50k a pop as well.. (make all the cheapskate comments you want, it's the principle) Albeit the summon still works, but the entire reason for getting this ship is the mechanics it provides, and half of which no longer works. so far, the response to this has literally been "oh well..." Another friend that joined us is the Heroic mission quick travel. This essentially makes mounts and planets pretty much irrelevant and just another piece of superfluous graphic. Mounts used to be necessary to get you around planets, but with this new QT for heroics, once you've done your story there is no reason to travel anywhere on planets. This obvious world pvp wrecker reminds me of this automatic access to every taxi on the planets. ...why do that? What exactly is wrong with having to run around and discover stuff on planets? What's wrong with running in to someone who wants to beat you up? (It still baffles me that someone on a PVP server would use /say to tell you "if you want combat queue for warzones" when you engage them out in open world areas) There is literally no reason to go anywhere but Fleet or your own personal stronghold or ship. You can leave the starter planets and level to 65 skipping all the story by doing flashpoints and warzones... or you can blindly wander through the story pretty much upgrading your gear twice from 1 to 65 due to the scaling you receive most of the time. I also noticed that for some reason, gear isn't taking much damage anymore either.. so I reckon there is no reason to be careful doing anything. Was this simply a response to the PVE people crying about being jumped all the time? Is anyone aware they put an invisible wall at the Lower Industrial taxi stand on Nar Shaddaa? that's the only one I've found you can't jump on anymore... and I know the only reason it's there is some of you complained and filed tickets against my characters and guild for trashing that place all the time. It doesn't make sense to offer a PVP server and then do everything you can to prevent it from happening unless offering a PVP server is something you regret... makes no difference, we'll always find a way to beat up carebears.
  6. the first response is the precise reason why I never go to these forums for a straight answer... someone brings up a completely valid observation, response from the community : "ur just a bad"
  7. BioWare really needs to go download some other games and find out how to really make PVP real and fun. They have a few PVP servers, but nobody wants to do open world pvp because ...why? "no reason to.. you don't get any rewards for it" is one of the big ones. solution? Eve Online, DC Universe, and Rift come to mind...
  8. The majority of the problem lies in the fact that "the Internet is anonymous", so kids feel that they've been granted license to smack talk every single person they come across... Maybe they have daddy issues or something.. point is, these "people" don't seem to understand the foundation of MMO gaming is the SOCIAL COHESION that pulls it all together. Most of them simply come across as brats with such famous sayings as: "kill yourself" (probably the worst and most obnoxious... also a felony) "sooooooo bad" (MOST do this after winning a fight... because you know, winning isn't enough) "ur a bad" (which particularly annoys me because "bad" isn't a noun) "L2P/learn to play" (not worth commenting on this) "uninstall" or "delete your toon" ...why? Then, or course, if you respond to any of this, you're facing a torrent of juvenile berating such as "u mad bro" and all the other "bro" related "trolling" that people do... There's really no point in any of this, and all it does is make the game trashy and lame... ...and you know these are the same idiots who sit around in general chat saying "this game is dead" I am curious though... to all of you who insist on smack talking... ...does it make you a better player? do you win harder? do you get more warzone comms for telling someone they're "a bad"? no. you don't.
  9. when I started my guild it was the first thing I looked for... guild options are pretty lackluster here.
  10. ehh.. no. I don't have time to keep track of who's who on that list... no interest in it either.. if I block someone, it's pretty much a permanent thing. like that doofus who constantly talks about THOR every single time he logs in and has been doing so for nearly a year... no WAY he's coming off my ignore list.
  11. I am logged in, and clicking away at stuff... but now I'm "away from keyboard" I don't get this timeout.. why? just remove it.
  12. With all the gold spammers in game it would be NICE if there was no limit on the ignore list... I don't understand why there is one in the first place.. we should be able to ignore as many players in the game as we want. 98% of my ignore list is gold spammers.. the other two are the guy who always tells everyone they're "poor" and brags about his stupid computer that mommy and daddy bought him, and the complete and utter toolbag who constantly blathers crap about THOR every time he logs in.
  13. that's the general idea... add roles in the guild ranks.
  14. how about removing BOLSTER from 55 warzones?
  15. I think you need to gain an understanding of what SPAM *IS* before you come up with ideas for blocking it.
  16. I think someone needs to get a little sunshine... ..maybe interact with some actual humans? you're talking about pixels here.
  17. I do that.. there's plenty of places to sit and wait for some unsuspecting slob to wander in to...
  18. hey.. sorry.. I'm not 12 years old.. *** does "necro it" mean in regards to a thread...
  19. title pretty much explains it all... I'd like to be able to send a single mail out to all of my guild members. Also had lots of people talking about forming alliances of guilds... We should be able to form an alliance with a name.
  20. honestly, this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard anyone suggest.
  21. just curious, but where did this ganking occur? What was the guild name of the toon who ganked you?
  22. yep. this thread is irrelevant. Stunned twice and full resolve bar? ODD... For the past few weeks I've been getting stunned up to 4 times and never getting full resolve, but SHOCK (sorcerer ability) has been granting people full resolve. nothing broken here, move along.
  23. "L2P" you're missing the point kid.. telling people to "learn to play" is the sign of an idiot. grow up and contribute something intelligent. I'm fully aware of all the facts.. the cooldowns are shorter on my dots.. I know this. you're just missing the point.
