  1. Hmm. First I would say, in regards to the main list, I totally agree. Fortunately I have been a shadow since game started, and now I know what it must have been like to be a sorc pre-3.0:) Jokes aside, even I wouldn't mind a few nerfs to the shadow, though im terrified of getting a knee jerk nerf to the ground kinda like what happened to Operative dps way back in the day. You guys are still recovering from that really lol. Now for my two cents on shadow V Operative. Concealement should beat serenity, but serenity should beat lethality. Infil should also beat lethality. honestly, I don't feel like lethality was improved much. maybe that's just me. I cant speak to infil v concealement from experience though I still think concealment should win. My reasons for this is experience plus theory, which I have only seen supported. I don't base my conclusions on average or worse players vs good or better players. Also, I am talking about one v one. in group solos, serenity is surpreme cause the more enemies there are, the better it is. so ultimately the reason i give the win to a concealment operative is the 100% chance to dodge all attacks during the roll. so pretty much an evasion/resilience, minus purge, every ten seconds with a super short cooldown on your actuall evasion. you also have healing dots. So the trick is to play the kiting game. if you try and face tank it, you will probably lose to the sin, sure. But if you play it right, you should win because one v one, the shadow wont get enough health back and all you have to do is get around the corner. Im not saying its an easy fight if two good players or better are going at it, but in a one v one, i will give it to the concealment guy. Ps, i have only seen one operative pull off the kinda kiting and skill i am talking about on my server. So perhaps i am wrong, but i doubt it, since i am usually pretty good at guessing the meta. Now, for anyone who dares claim the slinger is not in the worst position for solo ranked in the game right now, I bite my thumb at you!
  2. honestly I feel like cross server would be one of the best things they could do for solo pvp ranked. Even pug regs would be helped for most servers. I know lore reasons kinda kills the reg chance of ever going this way though. However the current lore of ranked is that people are fighting to the death for hutt entertainment. which makes no sense from a lore perspective if jedi and sith are doing this. Smugglers and agents maybe with alterior motives. Bounty hunters sure. But republic troopers and jedi and sith, would not be doing such. Sith would be above it, Jedi too rightoues, and troopers cause it makes no sense with any military code I am aware of. So lore is not a good reason to stop cross faction ranked solo ques. Even team ques would be better if could cross faction. then people could play the class they want as apposed to the faction they feel they have to play. I have server transfered a decent number of times and except for the rare server here and there through time, they have all been imp dominated. So even cross server actually wouldn't fix much for pubs as apposed to what cross faction could. However, best fix ever, and only one that could be argued as "much better" cross server would have to be cross-faction and cross-server.
  3. Hmm, if you are an imp trying to get solo que pops on PoT5 and are not its cause most left the server. Pubs scared them off;) I have checked out harbinger frequently on my alts and haven't seen any ranked popping at any reasonable hours for an east coaster. I haven't been to bastion personally but I hear imp dominated, but lots of trolls. I have heard very mixed reviews as to how much the solo q pops there as well.
  4. Well suppose I will contribute what I know too. PoT5 is a good place to be for solo pub quing right now. The pool of players died down a bit since most the imps left though. Harbinger was dead for solos every time I checked it out on my old alts from that server. I have heard mixed reviews on Bastion. Lots of trolls and such, and fairly imp dominated until some group up to take advantage pubside. However, bastion is the only server I haven't really checked out personally, just second hand info.
  5. I would have to agree with the above. current class mechanic discussions are kinda pointless being as big changes that we know little to nothing about are coming. However, just in the nature of goodness I will say that FD isn't that bad. Not saying it isn't strong but if your smart, its easy enough to deal with. Only issue I have is that unremitting lol. Even still, I suppose its really the combo of the two that makes it scary for me as a balance shadow. However, considering the situation guardians were in in the past, people should probably stop trying to nerf them to 3rd tier now that they are finally a strong dps class in pvp. Now if any class should get some nerfs it would be those sages/sorcs. Those guys are ridiculous right now in pvp. I lvl'd one recently to be a ******* alt, and it gains rating like 10x faster than my main toon cause its such an easy class to use and the potential of it in solos or regs are through the roof.
  6. Oh, and I am efera pubside. Efera is my shadow, and ef'era is my gunslinger. I am on usually one or the other or get on them at least once in the day.

  8. The UoC is currently looking to boost our numbers for conquest. We are still aiming for quality over quantity for all content of course. In the UoC, we strive to be one of the best guilds we can be. We have either been in second place or first place every week of conquest, so we have very active players. However we don't have the numbers the zurging guilds do. We do PVE and PVP. We have done top level raiding and have most of the best pvpers the pubside has to offer. While we are structured between pvp and pve players, pretty everyone does both. If you are interested in joining us please contact Efera, or Kohid, or Kanaba in game or respond to this message. We will want to talk to you and discuss what you are looking for and what we are looking for, so both parties will be satisfied. Again we will be approaching this with a quality over quantity approach, in order to maintain quality of play. This does not mean we do not want new players. We are more than happy to help players improve in pve, pvp or both. If any guilds are interested in merging, please contact Kanaba or Gary in game.
  9. That's right. PoT5 is so the place to be for east coast friendly time zoned pubs looking for pub solo que action. Every day there is a pub population trying to que and we have kicked the imps off the server practically. So why not take advantage and bring your pub toons here?! Wont have to deal with sync quing and the more pubs we get the more balanced it will be!! So all you east coast friendly pub pvpers get on over here now and get in on that solo que action!!
  10. Come to PoT5:)!! Pubs dominate the solo que on this server right now. there is a consistent population of pubs trying to que the solos every day pretty much too. So why not come claim some territory today:) No worries about sync quing and the more that come, the better the match making system will be able to balance things. Plus east coast friendly time zone since it will be an east coast server!!
  11. If you are looking for good pub solo ranked pops, and east coast friendly times zones, come to PoT5:) Pubs currently dominate the pub solo que!! So now all we need to do is populate this server with more like minded pubs!! Literally none of the usually negatives that are associated on other servers, since if we all que pubside there will be no sync queing anymore and our same faction population increase will help for better balanced games:)!!

  13. You know what will help any pubs reading this feel better;)? Coming to PoT5 for some solo ranked pops!! East coast prime times, pubs currently dominate the solo que, and there is pretty much always pubs trying to get it to pop. The more pubs of varying skill levels the better too!!!
  14. Can't say too much as to the main point of this thread. I do think 2v2 and 3v3 could be fun though:) As usual there will always be a rock and a hard place that we are between though. However, I can tell you one thing that there is no rock or hard place:) If you are a pub, and want to que ranked during east coast time zones, come to PoT5. We already have pub population that wants to que. Imps of any worth have ran away, so most the remaining imps suck. Literally no negatives for pubs to come here and que, and more the merrier since if we can actually get more people then the elo system will actually be allowed to work. If we all que on the same faction, then there is no sync quing. So I call out to all pubs who want solo ranked pops, come to pot5!! East coast times zones are a plus:)
  15. Okay, so here are the awesome selling points for you pubs looking for some good solo pops. PoT5 has pubs who want to que solos, enough even that we can que and fight each other pretty much during all of the east coast prime time. Currently we have scared off pretty much most imp competition. Reasons are slightly understandable, but not relevant. Point is now, PoT5 should be a haven for pubs looking for solos. So if you want to play during east coast prime times, or close to them, and you want to play pub side come to PoT5:) Imps you can come back too, but I know you won't cause you don't want to fight the only pubs queing lol. So literally there are no negatives for pubs coming to pot5 who want to que solos with an east coast time zone preference.
  16. Well, I totally know if your an imp you may want to ignore this for a while. Anyways, if you are a pub toon who wants to que ranked with east coast prime times, come to pot5. Why? Because pubs dominate this server's ranked population. Mostly cause they are not enough pubs, so when those few of us who do que, we get together and we kick ***. So for those pubs looking for solo ques, I can tell you there are always other pubs looking to que. We don't care if its pub v pub. in fact, the more pubs of all skill levels the better. If your best times to play correlate with east coast, then look no further than PoT5:)
  17. So I notice I recognize alot of the names in this thread. I am Efera from PoT5:) Anyways, if you are imps and running to harbinger and are good with quing at west coast/australian times, that is fine. However I was on harbinger in season 1, and have talked to people from season 2 from there and know people who have tried it this season. From what I understand, when solos do pop, if they pop its imp dominated. Anyways not the point. Just commenting that you guys arent looking for good solo que pops. You are looking for good imp solo que pops specificly. Truth is, with the way ranked works I dont blame you though. I know what its like to be on the other end. I have always played pub side, and most servers were always imp dominated. However, i would comment that the solo que seems to be dying on every server because of people giving up on queing or trying to find some other server where they can "safely" que on. What they need to do, is make ranked factionless. That would mitigate population issues, make the elo system work better, and prevent "sync queing". FYI being one of the only like ten consistent pubs quing on PoT5 i dont see how you guys get so angry at us for quing. If it was a bunch of ******* pubs quing at the same time, you wouldnt care. you only care cause you are losing. which i dont blame you for wanting to not being in a ****** situation like that, but stop acting like its some super conspiracy to be all pissy about.
  18. Haven't been healing much lately and honestly was never a focus of mine, but would definitely like to try out for this depending on when the try outs are. I will need to dust off the healing skills. heelz'deelz is my operative's name. Main is Efera(shadow) pubside, and Visuviius(assassin) impside.
  19. I have brought this up myself, and have since seen several posts about cross-faction pvp. I think it makes perfect sense. For those who genuinely concerned with Lore, I will say you obviously aren't paying attention to the fact that you are already fighting for a hutt's amusement, which makes no lore sense at all for sith or jedi, or agents, or troopers. So that shouldn't be an argument against this. Although honestly, I could care less about the Lore when it comes to rated pvp gameplay. The plusses are numerous and would fix a lot of solo ranked quing problems right away. Huttball could also be cross-faction just cause it makes sense the same way as arenas. You are already fighting for hutts and not for your faction, like is suggested with civil war and or voidstar.
  20. I love my balance Shadow and most dot specs in this game. However, I will say I do think dots should be cleansable by healers. Im fine with it having to be up the healing skill tree to cleanse the dots of dotspecs. So in otherwords, change the perc so that the dots aren't persay unlceansable, but that they have a perk that makes them unlceansible unless they are cleansed by someone with the appropriate healer perc to cleansing. This would keep dot specs strong and increase sage healer demand since only they can cleanse force dots, and keep skill required for both sides. now I would have to watch to makes sure my dots haven't just been wiped, and the healer would have to also be on point with cleansing my dots.
  21. As much as I would love to get some cool reusable stim, or something that is actually useful compared to vanity objects I don't think that is a good idea. Mostly because you end up getting more of that gap that prevents new players/not so good players from wanting to continue because they are so far behind. Even making such items available every season doesn't solve anything since players who win before, are only more likely to win again. Not to mention that destroys the uniqueness that enables these awards to represent the achievement of what the individual has accomplished in the seasons. Now one idea I could see here, is making some sort of utility item available, but only for participating. So its not really a reward, so uniqueness doesn't matter. Also then it would encourage people to actually play ranked more. on a side tangent, but related to this idea, there should be a minimum gear requirement for ranked. Maxed expertise would suffice to me. This is related so that we don't have people who trying to get the item, hoping to be carried, don't ruin the experience for the people who actually enjoy ranked. So seeing as all the real rewards are likely to be vanity, and with the release of strong holds I am not apposed to rewards related to this. Not saying only rewards related to this. Cause to be honest, season 2 rewards stank of neglecting the ranked pvp population. Three trophies with the exact same screen shot, a holo projection that isn't cool at all and barely relates to pvp in the eyes of representing an accomplishment, and a ugly *** helm. Titles that may as well be the same as the season before. Lets not even go into how lame the top three of each class reward was. To say you worked hard all season on these is insult to people's intelligence. However I digress, these decoration rewards made me realize that decorations is a viable reward route. while Obviously cool mounts, and armor and other such unique vanity rewards that are worn on the toon, can always be good ideas and should probably be in every seasons rewards, also adding the wall trophies should be a must every season. They should represent the tiers as they did this season as well. However, Tier 2 and up should get some sort of unique sculpture/decoration that actually stands out in order to show he has accomplished something, a cool sculpture of a weapon for example. Tier 1 and up, should get a seriously ****** decoration that is clearly related to pvp and shouts that he kicked *** in the season. For this tier and up, something like a sculpture of two fighters going at it, or replicas of an arena with a fight going inside it. The holo replica that we got in season 2 is boring in appearance, and doesn't not make anyone think pvp or combat when looked at. Ultimately though, some types of rewards should be consistent such trophy like decorations to show what you have accomplished, but always reskinned at least a bit. Along with additional rewards that are unique to that season.
  22. I am in a agreement. Thought it was pretty lame that my companions turn to holos when on different toons, but even more annoying that their gear changes to default.
  23. Same boat here. I mostly only pvp, and wanted my stronghold to show this, but instead I have virtually nothing and an overabundance pve stuff from FPs and the like. Also while I can't say I was particularly happy with what the season 2 rewards were, having pvp rewards related to Strongholds was fine to me. In fact considering all ranked rewards will probably always be vanity items that is even in some ways for the better, since SH decorations are preferred for showing off than that ugly helm I got which doesn't go with my shadow at all. While the wall trophies are a good idea, major pvp acheivements ie top tier at the end of a season or 10 solo kills in 50 different WZs should rate more large like trophies, such as sculptures and/or impressively visual decorations, representing the accomplishment. Minor things would be completely fine with the tiny screen shot style trophies.

  25. Would be cool to have real huttbal teams but i can see alot of issues with this lol. Server population issues would be the biggest one.
