  1. I used this setup for PVE but I have had success with it in the limited pvp I've done. Overall the main focus is getting into the fight quickly and staying in the fight. Nonstop DPS is the strong point of this setup. You will not run out of force using this setup as it is built for sustained dps. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e346/gun_control/Screenshot_2013-11-06_23_35_46_790776_zps3ec813a4.jpg You have one of three ways to enter a fight. You can use death field, force storm, or force lightning depending on what you are looking to do. I usually start with force lightning if it's a single target or force storm for multiple targets. Using force storm you have a chance to used chain lightning right off the bat. Once that is done spam force lightning as this is your main attack ability that is focused heavily on due to other bonuses you get. When you see the wrath icon appear activate crushing darkness and affliction. If you used death field before this you will have bonus damage. Keep affliction sustained through your fight. You can also utilize shock and lightning strike for a chance to be able to once again use chain lightning instantly. Your chain lightning will also damage multiple targets and you have a chance of it activating again. You also have the chance with shock for another instant chain shock. This setup allows you to maintain damage on a target and reposition while attack although it will be less you still have a mobility advantage you do not have with a lightning setup. I have used this setup for over a year and it works to this day albeit not as good as some other dedicated setups. I like the abilities I gain through being able to instantly attack and continue attacking as I reposition. The static barrier is also useful if enemies get too close as it will stun them if it is destroyed or deactivated allowing you to use force speed or overload to get distance so as to heal or continue attacking. To those who may say this setup is outdated or doesn't work I suggest trying it to see if you like it. In the past before the 55+ gear was added I focused primarily on crit chance and crit damage bonus. At one point I had an 91% chance to crit with a 70 - 80 percent bonus. This added up to a large sum of damage over a period of time however due to gear changes and nerfs that gear setup is no longer possible. In addition my key binding setup allows me to not have to utilize tons of key combinations to rotate through abilities as well as ensuring your hand stays relatively stationary on the keyboard as all your attacks are within reach of one hand. This allows you to switch targets or do some healing if need be easily without having to let off on your attack.
  2. I would like to see just more fraction and class specific things. Who says that we all have to be equal? Shouldn't that make it desirable to play other class's for the fact that they do different things based off lore? I would love the ability to customize your force lightning color but make it for the inquisitor class only in my opinion.
  3. This set would be excellent on my marauder.
  4. No some people can't do that. They can't stand changes to a series to keep it relevant to the times. People like them remind me of those who killed off the star trek enterprise series remake which was great in its own right but too many hardcore "don't change my series because I would rather it die and fade off into the annals of history instead of some younger generation enjoying it" decided they can't accept change. I like the black core crystals. As you said if someone doesn't like it don't buy it. But some would rather gouge out their eyeballs because they can't be bothered to look at something they don't like.
  5. As the title suggest I would like to see lightwhips introduced into the game. It would be really cool in my own opinion to see them in action. http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100309191424/starwars/images/d/d9/Nightsister_Lightwhip.jpg
  6. I'm all for more player based customization.
  7. Or in the barbershop. But I would imagine a lot of lines would need to be re-scripted as the voices are class based.
  8. I personally want a Tuk'ata hound and not one of the sissified versions they got in this game. Something that looks sharp, sleek, fast, and predatory like. http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/c/c2/Tuk%27ata_JATM.jpg
  9. +1 for the void crystal. I'm also waiting for a black white crystal still.
  10. I would support living mounts as well. In some cases depending on the character I'm playing and how lore based said character is I would prefer a living mount for said character.
  11. I would rock that on one of my warriors. Most likely my marauder.
  12. Late summer I would imagine since they said 2.0 would be coming out somewhere in the early summer time.
  13. Catch the episode 4 reference when you take the skyhook on Makeb when playing imp? I about fell out of my chair when I chose chat option one and my character went on about a radiation leak and that it was under control.
  14. I'm running a hybrid lighting build that is focused mainly on constantly being able to dish out damage for unlimited periods of time. Works really well for PVE. I don't find myself using attacks that require any short of casting time unless it's something like force lightning. All my attack rotations, attacks, and my skill tree are based off being able to jump in the fight instantly and not stop. I've been running this build for many patches and as I said earlier it works well for me at least.
  15. For the longest time playing this game I wanted to see if there was possibly a different way to do it so to speak so this was my attempt at doing things differently. My goal was a dps sorc that focused on crit chance and crit multiplier. For the most part this is my gear in game as it sits. The only things I don't have at the moment are the implants, earpiece, and focus but other than that everything is done. Interestingly enough it didn't turn out half bad and my goal of doing a ton of crits was certainly achieved so I can at least call it a success in that definition. Anyways here is what it's going to look like fully done: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/14040c93-f672-4302-b64e-976db0cc83c9
  16. I run a lightning/madness hybrid spec with a crit and surge focused setup. I spam force lightning while running crushing darkness and affliction. It's not uncommon for me to thow in lightning strike when I can use the perk to instantly cast it instead of having to wait for it to charge and then cast. On raid it's normal for me to tick over 1k per force lightning due to having an almost 50% chance of critting. On the last dread guard on TFB running moxparser I recorded 392 crits on force lightning alone and that was just on the last guy mind you this didn't take into account the other 2.
