  1. Follow your class questline, profit.
  2. Why don't you just ask your "friend"?

    HK??

The main purpose of HK-51 is that it's ****** and if you've ever played the original KOTOR should bring back alot of nostalgia
  4. It's per character as I understand it and is instant (apon confirmation).
  5. The legacy redeemable items are designed for your alternative characters, send the item to them through the mail. They can then be traded in at Legacy vendors on Dromund Kass and Coruscant for some better than average starter gear for around the level 10 - 20 bracket.
  6. I recently reached 51 on my main and started the HK questline, so far I've found all of the parts other than the flashpoint drops and the one on hoth. Is it a tedious time consuming task? Certainly. But it is perfectly feasible to do it solo.
  7. In the expanded universe (including the original KOTOR games) there are many lightsaber crystal colour varients. There's nothing really wrong with it and adds to the ability to customize your character.
  8. You won't be able to pick up the Makeb questline until around 47 I believe. If you're interested in the class stories should certainly finish them as Makeb contains spoilers.
  9. The cartel box contents are absolutely random, this is clearly indicated in the description. Are they worth the money? If you're willing to accept the fact that the contents is random, yes. If you get items that you don't paticularly want or need, you can sell them on the GTN or in the case of the rep items (as others have said) vendor them. If you hang on to the items until this pack series is phased out their value will go up dramatically. Currently the rarer items in the Supreme Morgul pack (such as the Pocket Sarlacc) on Tomb of Freedom Nadd go for around 2 - 3mil credits. Then use those credits to buy what you want. Most games require you also to have "keys" for lockboxes, thankfully SWTOR doesn't.
  10. There are many items in the game that have a high value, it's best to check your servers GTN (auction house) to get an idea of the selling prices for paticular items. Your best bet if you wish to make some quick credits is to purchase cartel boxes off of the in-game cashstore, open them, and hope you get lucky. Several items from the boxes (at least on the Freedom of Nadd server) such as the Pocket Sarlacc are known to sell between 1.8 - 3m credits. With regards to modifications, I'd say don't focus too much on trying to make your gear perfect until you hit the level cap. You're able to get mods, hilts, etc from commendation vendors on planets aswell as quite often as quest rewards, just use those to regularly upgrade your gear until then as focusing on the best current-level mods every time you level up will result in you gimping yourself heavily in the credit department for little gain. Of course in order to use these mods you will need armour that has slots open (e.g Adaptive type armour).
  11. Whoever said it was dead? The population counts seem pretty stable. If the playerbase shrinks they can just merge the existing servers. If the game gets taken offline it's unlikely you'll be able to play the single player content.
  12. There have been alot of issues with collections since the last patch, it could be presumed when they hotfix the issue the items will then appear. It is annoying regardless.
  13. Are you getting any error? After making the purchase click "Unclaimed Items [X]" in the bottom right of the cartel market to claim the items (or refund them back to the market).
  14. It's not really stupid as it does keep the market flowing, just as with everything else that gets bound on use. If they didn't, then the market would quickly get diluted.
  15. I disagree, it's all about luck of the roll, I got newcomer in 10 packs.
  16. If you're concerned about giving your details out to so many companies, you can always use a service such as Paypal. Honestly, there's little to be concerned about as long as you're not careless with your details and hand them over to random obscure companies.
  17. Neither F2P or Preferred status players have the ability to post on the forums which I think is a tad ridiculous. They really should be able to, this is standard on many F2P games. It's quite possible that a F2P player would come along download the game (as a friend of mind has done) and find that it doesn't work. They're then forced to give up because they cannot come to the forums and attempt to get help, alternatively they could contact support via their phone number but most would opt not to as to my knowledge it is not a freephone number. The point I am trying to make here is that these people who are denied the simple ability to partake in the SWTOR community would be more likely to become paid customers if they could do so. For example, my friend if he got the game to run could thoroughly enjoy the game and end up paying. Yes, you could argue that there would be people coming and endlessly spamming the forum however in turn this can be mitigated by using features that already exist in vBulletin and that can be added through plugins. Such as, CAPTCHA, banning by IP, limit e-mails to be unique per account, services such as Spamhaus, etc. If smaller companies and individuals can manage this minor workload to set up I'm sure EA can.
  18. Whilst double XP weekends from time to time are a nice bonus, I don't think they should be a common occurance. Why? Well, you level too quickly and in turn miss a tonne of the intended content for that level bracket. I found myself (having rolled a new character) being forced to stop myself playing as I was outlevelling everything (including my class quests) making it not really an enjoyable experience.
  19. I picked a PvP server because I wished not only to play and enjoy the game's PvE aspects plus enjoy the PvP side to things. I didn't join a PvP server to get griefed by level 40 - 55's on lowbie planets who think they're "pro" because they can kill a significantly less powerful player. Removing safe zones and NPC guards would allow these griefers to run amok, as they could simply just camp the space port and be "trolololol I'm so hardcore look at me guyz".
  20. Pure F2P get 200, Preferred get 350.
