  1. Howdy all, it's been years since I posted on these forums (RIP Dalborra & its associated forums), but in recent years the absence of new SW:TOR parodies by Melimelon has been weighing on me heavily. So, here's an ode to the best class to ever come from this game, the Scrapper Scoundrel. Enjoy!
  2. Original Post updated: - added more new achievements - added decoration ideas
  3. Bump: bringing this post back with the upcoming Rakghoul Event! I hope BioWare has taken these into consideration!
  4. This is a screenshot of me and a friend (MrChow) last night in a civil war match. Vengeance is awesome when you stance dance Screenie
  5. Lol December full of Events? GG BioWare. Well played.
  6. Does the OP play on The Harbinger? Did the flagging and killing take place in heroic area of the Rakghoul Tunnels yesterday? That was me.
  7. I doubt we would get a class based on Zakuul since it would probably require adding multiple new worlds for the 1-60 class experience. What would be preferable is the addition of Jedi or Sith classes that wield light spears - imagine Prince Oberyn from Game of Thrones but with a Zakuulan light spear
  8. With the introduction of force spears to the game (with the Zakuul Knights), does this bring about the potential for a new class to be brought to the game? I personally would love to see a class added that has Wushu-styled martial arts similarity (think of Prince Oberyn in Game of Thrones). If the class was based off of the Zakuul Knights it could actually be similar to a Guardian/Juggernaut in the possibility for DPS and Tank trees - Zakuul Knights have been seen wielding either the spear on its own, or in conjunction with an actual shield. The obvious arguments are that; it doesn't fit in with the original game/wouldn't have original story it might affect "Legendary Player" status for finishing orinigal class stories etc class balance is and always has been horrific. How much worse could it possibly get if we added another class into the mix? If nothing else, it might add some new flavour to combat in the game and help to mix things up a bit. Above all else, I just love the look of those force spears and would love to be able to use one on a character!
  9. There's nothing to fix. There are those of us who have been continuously subscribed since early access pre-launch, who have remained and will continue to remain subbed because we actually enjoy the game and want to see it continue. Then there are people who subscribed once because of shiny gifts. The difference is that the players who have actually been steadily helping this game survive will get to enjoy the new content early. BioWare is not to blame for the idiocy of certain players who lack the ability to comprehend or understand the English language. I myself have a 6-month subscription, and most likely won't even get to play during early access because of work and real life commitments. Do you see me complaining? I couldn't care less. If you people cannot find something to occupy yourselves with for 7 days then there is seriously something wrong in your lives.
  10. Confirmed still drops. Got belt from a level 44 Prototype quality lockbox, bought from fleet vendor in Supplies section.
  11. That moment Xalek is not considered an apprentice. Buuuuuurrrnnn.
  12. Original Post updated - added new Mission and Achievement.
  13. Original Post updated - now includes the beginning of proposed new missions and achievements for the Rakghoul Resurgence Event.
  14. Haha, well the Boomers can be quite comical, especially the noises they make But honestly, these NPC enemies will bring the event to life, especially when questing solo. I know I would want to silence a screamer right quick if it happened to spawn on me!
  15. Yeah that's basically exactly right; the idea is to add variation to the types of enemies you're facing, rather than the same drib-drab common mobs that spawn when attacking one of the level 25 enemies to spawn a mob your own level. Yeah, well the timing is something that could be tested internally by the developers to see whether or not 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes etc is either too long, or too much of a hindrance when travelling between quest points. I completely agree with you; especially for somewhere like Corellia as compared to Tatooine, there should be a massive difference in the tunnel network between these two worlds! This is a great idea. They wouldn't necessarily have to alter the current layout too much, but adding a PvP section which adjoins to the other side of the Heroic area, and works backwards in the opposite direction would mean you could spawn in on the PvE side, or the PvP side (PvE side working towards the Heroic area as is currently, the PvP side working towards the Heroic area from the opposite side of the map). I suppose this could work well; random mob spawns would be really annoying during PvP fights. However, it would be much more interesting if there were patrolling KUS-type Rakghoul enemies in the PvP area (rather than proximity spawn), so you had to ensure your fights don't draw unwanted attention from infected citizens! Well, to be honest, bolstering Event areas really should be ground zero these days. Plus, it would allow us to add patrolling KUS Rakghoul enemies to a PvP area, like I suggested to your previous point. It annoys me that I can just drive through the tunnels on a max level character and not aggro anything because all the static mobs are level 25. Bolster would make the tunnels more lively, and feel like you actually have to be careful. I think it should be a given that fleets would definitely be a zero-tolerance zone (eg. killed when spawning in, or if first stage of vaccine, a medic NPC at the spawn shoots you with the vaccine as you suggested; definitely a good idea. Again, would make the Event feel a bit more real. I think this sort of thing should also be implemented on whatever planet is currently undergoing the Rakghoul Event. Eg. if on Alderaan, the T.H.O.R.N. NPCs in the House Thul and House Organa Estates and surrounding areas would kill you or vaccinate you on sight if you are infected as per protocol. Also probably in the tunnels as well. Again, short duration vaccine (1min - treatment, not prevention).
  16. Disclaimer: The purpose of this thread is to list potential ideas or things that could be added to the Rakghoul event for future appearance in-game. Now, let's have a look at the more "recent" Rakghoul-related additions to this game, and how they can be utilised in a way to enhance the current event as it stands. Take the Rakghoul Flashpoints for example (Kaon Under Siege, Lost Island) - obviously not recent additions, but more recent than the original event itself. Anyone who has played through the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint, and who has played a little First Person Shooter titled Left For Dead or Left For Dead 2, can clearly see some similarities. Let's break it down. Left For Dead includes; - normal 'infected' citizens or zombies - special 'infected' citizens or zombies Now these special 'infected' come in various forms, ie; - Boomers - Large, fat 'infected' citizens or zombies which hurl vomit at players, attracting hordes of normal 'infected' citizens or zombies. - Smokers - Tall, gangly 'infected' citizens or zombies which have exceedingly long tongues and who grapple in players with their tongues and proceed to suffocate you by breathing smoke into your face. Additionally, you are incapacitated and unable to act. - Hunters - Small, athletic 'infected' citizens or zombies who crawl along the ground or along buildings and pounce on players, dealing large amounts of damage and incapacitating the player. - Witches - Small 'infected' girls who cry and weep, usually confined to a corner of a room or hallway - usually stationary, but can also be slowly walking around too. If startled or angered, will proceed to chase the person who did so, incapacitating them and dealing large amounts of damage until the person dies. - Tanks - Large, beastly 'infected' citizens or zombies who spawn randomly during a level - have large amounts of health and deal large amounts of damage. Considered a boss fight. Taking this into consideration, let's have a look at some of the Rakghouls that have been present in the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint. - Common Plaguebearer - Smaller size than Strong or Elite mobs; no special abilities. - Bloated Plaguebearer - Large, fat Rakghoul infected citizen which when reaching 10% health, will pulsate for a few seconds before exploding, dealing large amounts of damage to nearby group members. BOOMER SIMILARITY - Infected Mercenaries - Tall Rakghoul infected citizen which will grapple in a player, incapacitating them for the full duration of the grapple cast, unless interrupted or stunned. SMOKER SIMILARITY - Infected Hunter - Tall, muscular Rakghoul infected citizen which will randomly jump to a player, stunning them and dealing damage. HUNTER SIMILARITY - Infected Screamer - Small, female Rakghoul infected citizen who usually roams a set area. Will scream and 'enrage' if startled, proceeding to knockback the player who attracted her attention and attacking them for moderate amounts of damage. WITCH SIMILARITY As can be seen, there are a few similarities that can be drawn between Special Infected enemies (Left For Dead) and Rakghoul Infected citizens (SW:TOR Kaon Under Siege). Now, to the point of this post; Would it be possible to incorporate the enemies from Kaon Under Siege into the Rakghoul Resurgence Event? Let's consider this. Firstly, the mechanics for the enemies in Kaon Under Siege are basically all available currently, however it would be interesting to see a few changes which I will list below. My personal preference however, would be to see the incorporation of the Kaon Under Siege (KUS) Rakghoul infected citizen enemies into the Rakghoul Resurgence event, most likely as random spawn mobs. As it stands right now, you have to attack or 'aggro' an enemy NPC in the Rakghoul tunnels in order to spawn a mob which you can attack, kill, loot etc for the current event missions. What I would propose would be adding the KUS Rakghoul Infected as separate spawns, not linked to current missions or mission loot tables. Instead, it would work like a proximity spawn, but not confined to a single area. Basically, every 10-20 minutes, there is the chance that you will randomly spawn one of these mobs (Plaguebearer, Mercenary, Screamer, Hunter) - add in DNA Samples and maybe Reputation boosts for killing these mobs as a reward as well. Additionally, a change should be made to level sync all mobs down to the level of the specific planet, removing the need for the level 25 pre-spawn enemy. All mobs could just be incorporated as normal, and only special infected rakghouls would now be a spawn mob. But wait Krackers, didn't you propose changes to these enemies? Indeed, let's have a look at those changes now. 1. Bloated Plaguebearer As it is right now, the Bloated Plaguebearer is an Strong-type enemy, which deals ~40-50% of a player's health if caught in their explosion. If implemented as an enemy in the Rakghoul Resurgence Event, the damage of the explosion should be reduced, but it should add in an element similar to Left For Dead Boomer explosions; if you're caught in the goo, zombies be a-coming for you! Basically, kite, and stay away from them - being hit with the explosion will attract a set of common Rakghoul infected citizens who will attack only you for 10 seconds (acting sort-of like an AoE taunt). To add in another element of fun, the health of these enemies could be reduced as well. Killing them quickly may result in adverse side effects if they are too close. 2. Infected Mercenary Currently this Strong-type enemy has a grapple or 'Constrict' ability which lasts an excessively long time (basically forever). If implemented into the Rakghoul Resurgence Event, the cast time of this ability should be reduced to 10 seconds Constrict duration (a close-to-permanent duration would make it silly for solo questing players). However, during the Constrict cast, the player takes 5% of their health as damage every second for the 10 second duration if allowed to continue for the full duration. 3. Infected Hunter This Elite-type enemy has a leap-and-stun combination that currently allows the enemy to do relatively good open-ended burst on a single player. If implemented into the Rakghoul Resurgence Event, the leap should have a scatter effect on allies close-by, eg. a 1 second knockdown on allies (including companions) within 5 metres of the targeted player. Damage increased to 35% of player's health inflicted from initial leap-stun combination. 4. Infected Screamer Currently, this enemy is an Elite-type which roams in a given area or along a specific course, and utilises a long-range knockback on whichever unlucky player startles them. If implemented into the Rakghoul Resurgence Event, this enemy should only occur as a random proximity spawn; roaming Screamers would cause issues due to level variation of participating players. Changes to the Infected Screamer should include; Faster enemy NPC movement speed (80% - same speed as Utility-specced Predation/Transcendence) Scatter effect on allies close-by, eg. a 1 second knockdown on allies (including companions) within 5 metres of the targeted player Screamers produce loud, shrill noises, attracting common Rakghoul Infected citizens. This effect can occur every 20 seconds. Spawns 3-5 common infected mobs of varying health pools. Larger player groups attract larger common infected spawns. There is a 1% chance on each Scream to spawn a Strong or Elite Rakghoul Infected, ie. Bloated Plaguebearer, Infected Mercenary, Infected Hunter, Infected Screamer. The idea is to kill the Screamers as quickly as possible, lest the Common Rakghoul Infected overwhelm you! I feel that adding in elements from that Flashpoint to the Rakghoul Event would liven it up, especially for players like myself who have been here since Early Game Access. Some of the Events have become a little stale because it is the same thing every time; nothing changes. I think that constantly adding new ideas or new enemies, missions, random spawns or drops will add some more colour to the Events that we currently have and spark some new interest in players who have been here for years. In any case, those are my suggestions. BioWare, Community, do with them as you will. ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY SUGGESTIONS Altering of the Rakghoul Event tunnel network to better reflect the environment of the planet that the event is currently taking place. Consider variation in environment of planets, eg. Corellia, Alderaan, Tatooine etc. Expansion of the tunnel network. Either split and provide a PvE tunnel network and PvP tunnel network, or add an adjoining Small Group Free-For-All PvP area where players can also complete their dailies. Add level bolster to the Rakghoul Event tunnel networks, removing the need for static enemies - all mobs now patrol/stand as usual. Only special infected rakghouls are a spawn mob now. Add KUS (Kaon Under Siege)-like enemies listed above in the original post, as roaming/patrolling enemies in the proposed PvP area of the Rakghoul tunnels - be wary of where you step, lest the hordes feast on your flesh!
  17. If people think scouperatives are OP at the moment, imagine a rolling tank droid with a shield. But seriously. I would pay top dorra to play as this. And by top dorra, I mean twooo dorraaaaa.
  18. Apparently the power of the English language was also "insiginifegent" at the time you were constructing this post.
  19. Would love to see flashlights added to certain blasters though, instead of laser scopes. I would never stop playing my vanguard if it could have a flashlight on the rifle
  20. If only there actually was ranked warzones to send those premades to... Arenas on the other hand are a piece of **** game type, hence premades on warzones.
  21. I'm sure you're all ecstatic to find out that there will be heaps of Cartel Market content in KotFE. Rekt by BW.
  22. This was legit the funniest thing I've ever read. Kudos!
  23. I'm the kind of person who doesn't do ranked, but instead spends all day in the Church of Mosh, praying that one day the Lords of Shadow, Qaraman and Jwalsh will return.
