  1. I have noticed some weird things in GSF on JC as well. To be more precise, one specific pilot. I will not name them, though my guild has taken a stance and has begun leaving the match if we see him. I am ok with dieing, it's part of the game, but I am not ok with being 2-shot by a scout ship in a maxed out Warcarrier. 90k damage from a scout ship (60k more than anyone else in the match) is a Domination match is obscene, and in my opinion, a blatant example of an unfair advantage. I have worked and reworked my own scout ship to try to replicate the result. No dice.
  2. It's only overpriced if you don't value the look of an eye-patch. I, for one, loathe my cowboy hat, and would be willing to pool the credits from all of my toons to buy it. Unfortunately, I have not seen it on the GTN yet....
  3. Then one could speculate that using Hoth comms to purchase the loot boxes could also be a viable option. I know I have received more than one orange belt/bracer that way from various planets. I wonder how many I have right now....
  4. I am currently running 0/23/18, and I can tell you that Sab and DF work very well together. I have used a parser on a few Ops runs, more to learn my character better than to compete with the other dps (though they do love to compete). And what I have found is that my highest overall damage is tech bleeding, then my various grenades all come next. What this usually means is that in a short fight, the shadow tank can out dps me, but in a long fight I am top 3. The guys running 2 screens just to watch the parser say it's incredible just how fast I climb. In regards to your questions....My template is partially built on the assumption that Independent Anarchy affects the shrap bomb since it is an area attack. Unfortunately, however, I must admit that I have never paid attention to whether shock charge works for wounding shots.
  5. I know this is more a scoundrel related thread, and I play a GS...I forget my exact numbers...something like 0/23/18, but I put the 2 pts into blaster whip primarily to climb the tree. Talk about a pleasant surprise. My blaster whip crits are as high as my grenade crits, about 2300-2500 based on buffs/debuffs.
  6. Not that I am trying to start an argument or anything, but I fell like I received the buff from Corso when the legacy went active. I started as a smuggler and realized the value in having my affection high with my companions for crafting & missions, as well as an extra pool of xp (I actually dinged 50 in a conversation with Guss ). Because of this, all but Akaavi were maxed when the legacy went live, and I am pretty sure that when I logged in that day I had more health.
  7. I thought we were covering all sides of why Guss gets my hand-me-downs before Risha.
  8. If Guss were my first companion, I doubt I ever would have tried any of the rest. Oh, and I love the things he says so much that I have started taking screen shots of them: "Hello, Sith! Just so we're clear. I'm not an actual Jedi. I only dress like one!"
  9. It is medium armor on the Republic Fleet Station. PvP, and FP vendors all have the hat, some with the face covered, and some w/out. I have also seen "green" drops off of kills, and probably armormech can make something (though this is speculation on my part. no armormech in my arsenal). I for one hate the hat, and therefor do not show the one my Smuggler wears.
  10. A guild-mate told me that the only Guss customizations are on the Security Key vendor. I don't know where he looked online, but I believe him.
  11. This post probably contains a spoiler or 2 if you have not made it to the end of our story yet. Last night I completed my class story line (The Final Score), but has some difficulties doing so. Everything went smooth on the Voidwolf's ship right up until the point I defeated him and tried to escape. Between the bridge and the escape pod, every single npc was bugged. Every single fight was a struggle to find a spot where I could shoot them, and if they were standing on top of me, forget it. <Cannot see target> I managed to make my way to a room where it went from bad, to unplayable. Both Guss and I were destroyed in about 6 seconds. Multiple times. I finally broke down and got a guildmate to help. Oh, and reset did NOT work.
  12. For me it's Guss. I am just about finished climbing my sabo tree, and with the agro I can draw coupled with my increased inability to take a punch (melee hurt!), he's become my best option. And even if he weren't a good healer who can take my hand-me-downs, his sense of humor/the things he likes make him awesome for conversations. (at least the way I am playing )
  13. Yeah, this probably isn't the 'proper' thread for this, but I just added Guss to my crew, and I must admit, when his full name was added to my codex I had to laugh. hooray for a sense of humor at BW!
  14. I believe my Sig shows my opinion on the matter. And to give an in-game example of this, the Cademimu flashpoint offers a perfect opportunity.
  15. I use Bowdaar now. With a little equipment and patience, the big walking carpet is your friend. He doesn't pull from your blast radius. I've also noticed I use my port shield/cover less and less the higher lvl I go. I use it to throw sabo charges, and a few other cover specific skills. Skills that aren't worth wasting time on when it's just a group of trash mobs. I send in the wookie and let him get aggro, this way even the melee will stay close after I start lobbing thermals like they are beads at Mardi Gras.
