  1. Thats a pretty dumb oversight and probably has a realistic effect on faction imbalances realy. Not to mention to the gear for reps being very boring to looks at along with realy horrid animations for OOC healing vs the imp ones. Lets face it those are what make you reroll in the first 5 mintues. Oh cool I can choose between all these races. Or, Man the animation on my abilities is lame. Might think Im dumb for deciding in the first 5 minutes like that but realistically we all do. Unless of course weve seen the "end-game" of x class.
  2. Ahh player housing in Swg is by far the best I have seen in an mmo, if only swg had the combat and questing that TOR has
  3. Haha yes and this is why people keep saying this is a great single player game but not an mmo. I personally enjoyed questing in this game more so than any other mmo I've played. Once I hit 50 mind you.... grind for gear doing 1 of 2 things. Unfortunetly for me though Im not much for the world of alts. I prefer to have my main and it actually be my "main character".
  4. Exactly man glad you agree with me. I feel like Im supposed to unsub and wait several months before I resub to play for another month or so and rinse/repeat.
  5. I havnt found much besides searching for datacrons or farming wzs(illum is broken and needs rewards for objectives)
  6. I like my ships but, I was wondering if or when we will be able to purchase, make, or steal us a new and different ship beyond the one we get from our class quest currently,, or even have visable customization to the allready existing ones? With that being said if this were to be implemented will we be able to switch between ships at our leasure? P.S. By visable customization I mean that when you walk into your hanger or pass by someone else in space(<- another question) if you will be able to see what items/mods they have equiped to said ship, interior or exterior.
  7. So basically all I want to know is, what is there currently to do besides grind wzs or run flashpoints/operations, and is there going to be anything in the future to do besides these things?(Besides hunt for datacrons) Now I know the game is pretty new and requires time to set things like this up so I dont expect much for right now. All of the posts I have seen from the Devs have not led me to believe that they are not exploring other opions. Yeah we got the legacy thing comming soon and eventually guild ships, etc. but lets face it, thats not realy something to "do" persay. My other question is for everyone else as I just like hearing ideas. What can you think of that would be fun and "Star Warsy" besides pounding your face into the keyboard endlessly farming WZs or Raids for gear. If possible things that arent even rewarded with gear or pets. Please lemme know if you hear aboot anything fun to do besides the above mentioned things to do.
  8. Commandos are rediculously OP, but honestly I think if you nerf that stupid sheild they have they would come down to par at least a little bit.
  9. I completely agree with the OP it. It takes at least 5 minutes of travel just from loading screens. Not to mention if your QT is down you got another 5-10 minutes of travel depending on where you and they are sitting on a taxi. The taxi part I understand, cool, makes sense, but to sit at a loading screen for 5 minutes just do I can get to a planet I want is a bit much. One of my friends lvling up was being attacked by some reps after I was allready 50. By the I got there he had got ganked 5 times and they had camped him for a good 10-15 minutes. To be quite honest I wasnt expecting to get there and see any action. We should have an option when clicking on our ship to load up the Galaxy Map or Enter the Ship so we can reduce the load screens at least taht way.
  10. If your lucky you might be able to kill a tank that has a healer healing him before you get kicked in the teeth. Lets face it tanks do decent damage and have increadable resiliance to incomming dmg.Especially with guard splitting the dmg they both take make any burst on either one cut in half. So tell me how thats "Not difficult"? Oh yeah and your forgetting the massive ammount of CC and Mezz that the healer alone has. Cupled with the decent dps from both of them. Even 2v2 thats a tough match up. If only there were arenas to prove these things to people.
  11. Yes we know this and I personally dont have a problem with the actual grind itself, but for the love of god if I'm going to be forced to spend that much time before I get to the good gear then give me something entertaining instead of doing the same thing repeatedly for over 100 hours of a game. That is not how you get someone to resub. Not to mention the people that I know who are lvl 60 valor just hop on do there daily and poof. Mostly because the grind was sooo frustrating that they dont care anymore for pvp as a whole.
  12. Oh yeah mabye make the bags aquired grant additional valor considering the time needed to get those commendations.
  13. Before I begin I just want to say Im putting this here instead of in the PvP forum because the gear grind for BM gear effects everyone including hardcore raiders. The grind was completely acceptable up until about valor 51 or so. If I remember right the requirement for getting to 51 was around 9-10k valor, now 5 valor later the requirement has skyrocketted trippling in value up to around 30k per lvl. I believe that by lvl 60 the required valor to lvl is around 60k valor. I understand the need to make some aspects of the game grindy and require large ammounts of time to aquire, but lets face it the GRIND to get up to lvl 60 valor is absolutly rediculous, and it gets worse beyond 60. Lets to the math on this. Assuming you get roughly 1k valor per wz(roughly the same per ammount of time spent on illum), it takes 30 wz games to get to the next lvl of valor. that would be for somewhere around lvl 53-54 I think. The next lvl is around 35k meaning 35 wzs played etc. etc. Given that lets take a rough sample of 10 minutes per wzs as that seems about average. 10x30 is 300 and 300 minutes is 5 hours of grinding Warzones for that one lvl. The next level being about another hour added on to that at around an additional 6 hours needed for the next lvl. This constant increase means getting through just the lvl 50-60 range brings us to somewhere around 100 hours give or take of play time just to get through that lvl range. For me, this is unacceptable. I know there are those who have allready ground out this rediculous grind and I understand the whole " I had to do it why shouldnt you" sentiment, but consider your alts, and your alts alts. I have a suggestion the qwell that arguement anyway wich I'll go into in a minute when I get there. Either Give us an alternative way to farm out the valor needed without having to change the current numbers needed per lvl. Reduce the valor requirements per lvl. In doing this, either hand out something aesthetic like a title reserved for those who previously reached x valor rank by the time something like this goes into effect, or apply the extra valor they have farmed into the new total and increase the lvl further. Or both. Or, Increase the valor gained per Kill/Wz as long as x requirement is met. I.e. Ranking system that per killing x rank gives x more valor per kill. Something along those lines. *EDIT* my post wound up in the suggestion box where no one goes
  14. I agree with you. I have a lvl 50 marauder main and Im currently lvl 56 valor and its been one hell of a grind. After about a month of grinding my teeth in doing wzs on my Marauder I decided i wanted to try another class. So I made a sorc and a merc(I know these classes are pretty op, but didnt fully realize it when I made them) and when I hit lvl 10 I began queing WZs and dear god did I feel like any braindead idot could play those classes. My point being that the fact that I fealt like the PvP game became 100x easier switching from playing my marauder and another class is a good sign.
  15. Mara/sents dont have any sort of push/pull ability, our interupts are about all we have to go on against healers. Lets run through thsi real quick. Healers just about all have a defensive sheild that negates around 3k dmg. Healers also have at least one stun and one knockback ability and pretty sure a slow/root. Marauders/sentinals deal a lot of dmg wich is great. Healer pops sheild and continues casting away all the dmg we dish out. We interupt and use our 20% healing debuff. Get knocked back and CCd to all hell. By the time force charge is up again most likely one or more of your cc abilities/sheild/ or you even healed up. So tell me how we are good at killing healers? Mind you force charge has a 12 second cd 9 seconds if speccd.
  16. lol thank you It doesnt help that its an ability that does almost no dmg(under 1k on average) and is a 10m range. Meaning I have to be right on top of you for it to work. Wich the range thing makes no sense to me. 10m feels like i have to be right on top of you for it to work but, 30m feels like I can hit you from halfway across a wz.
  17. So basically what your saying is regardless of spec if Im fighting a commando and he puts that sheild on I need to sit with my thumb up my butt until that sheild goes away? Go and hit someone else? You got 2 people focus firing a healer and your telling me because of a sheild we both need to stop focus firing the healer? Does that not sound OP to you? We should have easily broke the sheild and continued pounding his face in. Notice I said "UP TO 6K" and that it was the "HIGHEST IVE SEEN SO FAR"
  18. LOL you say this but you cant expect to drop a tank while the healer is still up so wheres the balance?
  19. So aparently the new formula to winning wzs is Have as many healers as possible.... ive lost several wzs today when they had nothing but commando/sages mabye 1 or 2 other classes.... oh yeah and i wound up with over 300k dmg and didnt even get the 10 kills medal.... being annhilation now i should have got credit for anyone i attacked basically as the dots roll through for quite a bit. Oh yeah and before you call me bad, mabye 1 or 2 people had that 10 kills medal as i actually didnt see anyone with it.... i looked.
  20. That does sound about right as to what he wants.
  21. The life of an out of stealth Op. Haha I still hit realy hard, have heals, and have good CC abilities. Omg Im about to die, stun, heal, continue not quite as retarded as it used to be but still retarded burst and you die. The end.
  22. LOL agreed with the CC part especially since the resolve bar doesnt work well enough and with this ammount of CC from every class a 2 minute CD isnt nearly fast enough. I dont entirely mind that so many classes have heals but make it so that when they spec into something like dps or tanking they reduce the effectiveness of the heals they have. Instead now you have a dps class that can cast a 4k heal or something like that. I also have a madness sorc that I can crit heal for 3.5k and thats at lvl 40.
  23. how is trying to lock down a healer in a group fight an L2P issue? I take it you dont go for healers ever and you let them run wild tipping the balance of the battle completely in their favor?
  24. While yes you dont have a large ammount of midigation, when you consider sage/sorcs cc knockback capabilities on top of the powerful heals it becomes OP. Not to mention in WZs you can single handedly hold someone off a node in Civil War, prevent a large group from getting the ball into you base in Huttball or even keep yourself or someone else alive through the most rediculous dmg provided they use cds even half way decent, pull someone out of harmsway or into an easy goal, and voidstar you can almost definety single handedly prevent several people from planting a bomb through shear survivability.
