  1. How's that updated time frame looking five years later?
  2. Though, there is no reason to restrict access to "Unify Colors" "Hide Helmet" and other options to free-to-play characters, but they're still doing it anyway.....
  3. I'm not sure if anyone's posted a response like this, but, why does everyone seem to think this is a bad idea? Am I unable to re-learn a brand new AC? It wouldn't take more than a day or two at that for anyone. Aside from that, what difference would it truly make upon everyone else? As an Operative, there's times where I wouldn't mind hanging back and sniping off some bad guys, instead of stab, stab, stab, poison, shock, stab. That's my take anyway.
  4. ......and it feels so good! But seriously, I can't believe I've forgotten how great this game is, and I'm glad I came back! Anyway, I just wanted to make a re-sub thread to let BioWare know that though it took a little longer than expected, they're getting back on the right track with everything and for that I thank them Can't wait for the new content later on this year and beyond Take care! -Avn
  5. I did Xai-Sen Bria, Shadowfire, Chilastra, Starsider (In that order) I miss space flight, including my Imperial Ace Coat and Helmet plus my VT-49 Decimator & YT-2400 Those were the days, may it rest in peace.
  6. Let's say down the line (as an example only) a Rodian is added for the players to play as, and I create a Rodian Bounty Hunter... It goes without saying that it'd be extremely wrong to hear that Bounty Hunter voice paired with the Rodian, hell, any class voice actor really. So my solution to this, for any alien race, is to copy and paste the existing alien languages and just have subtitles. It'd be more immersive and unique, or take from Knights of the Old Republic? Listed below is some species I'd like to see, some are brand new that don't have their own alien language yet. Aqualish Twilek Nautolan Togruta Rodian Gran Sullustan Bith Duros Nikto Trandoshan Ithorian Bothan Mon Calamari Devaronian Feeorin Nemoidian Quarren Weequay That's all I got, but it'd be nice to have some more variety in this Star Wars universe, I think adding at least 4 of those would provide enough variety for all.
  7. I love the over-all look of the red Imperial Ace armor set, I just finished upgrading it with some good mods too, however, it's when I start to speak in a conversation that the problem presents itself. I can't explain it, but the mouth piece, or re-breather, moves so unnaturally.... Please fix it, I'd love for it to just be static in conversations and not moving at all when I talk, then I'll love it 100%
  8. I died out as a Spy in Star Wars Galaxies, so I was very happy to learn that the Imperial Agent Operative was going to be available here
  9. A lot of people have been announcing they've been in beta, would you like to report AlaricSevGirl as well, since she clearly stated she beta tested too. Might as well jump on Facebook and YouTube too, go all out on everyone
  10. As I am once again, well aware. Thank you for policing the game good sir, very respectable of you.
  11. Also, you might want to get rid of those patch notes as I have done, lest you want to keep them up for everyone else to see. If so deadset on busting me on the NDA breech, screenshot it. AvnSevex is the same name used in the forums of ESO.
  12. I'm well aware, thank you. Concerns were voiced in this thread, and I provided reasons to ease the concerns. I ripped that from that big beta test from a couple weeks ago.
  13. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=709545 My Idea ^
  14. Starting off the New Year right!! Awesome! Everything looks great, not too crazy with the armor and colors, though, I'm seeing more Mass Effect than Star Wars in the Weapons still... I don't think black metal and other shades of black would be such a bad thing right? P.S. Bioware, I thought we talked about those shoulder pads already lol jk, good job though
  15. Maybe check out my post? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=709545
  16. So, take this crazy idea as just that, a CRAZY idea. I doubt it could work but I really have been wanting to share this to see what some people think: I'm personally kind of sick of being stuck on Vaiken Spacedock. Being confined to a space station just doesn't feel right to me anymore. How could this be fixed? Vaiken Spacedock and the Republic Station, (apologies I don't know the name) come under attack, by Mandalorians, or someone, a new enemy perhaps. That starts a whole event which the Imperials and Republic have to defend their space stations until they're forced to abandon it and evacuate to: Empire: Korriban Republic: Tython I'll use the Empire for my example as I'm an Imperial at heart, but this would probably suffice for both sides. (CUTSCENE) *Fade from black* You crash land with your class ship on the surface of Korriban, you look up and Vaiken is gone, remnants of the station and escape pods are still falling through Korriban's atmosphere far off from where you are, trailing flames and dust as they go down. Your ship is out of commision now, far too damaged to be used now. Your comlink goes off, and someone of high authority has contacted you. My guess is that it'd be Darth Marr, regardless of your class I believe him to be of the highest authority next to the Emperor. He asks what happened, who attacked you, where you are etc. Once you inform him, he tells you to make it to The Valley of the Dark Lords to speak with the Dark Council personally to discuss further plans. Comlink cuts and you put it back in your utility belt. You look around, you're in the middle of nowhere. (Cutscene ends) A fun little addition I think is that, when you open your map to see exactly where you are, the screen is covered in distorted static, damaged from your crash landing. Leaving you with a kind of hopeless feeling much like C-3PO and R2 when they crashed on Tatooine in Ep4. Anyhow your quest log states to "Find The Valley of the Dark Lords" (So what is the player supposed to do? See this is a part where I'm personally stuck at, we could go with the Family Guy's "OOH PIECE OF CANDY!" With a few NPC's, so lets see how that plays out.) Ooh, look dead body. (Okay I think I got it now) Dead body has a quest arrow over it. You click the body and much like in Kotor 2 there's a holo-recording, recording moments before his demise. *Cutscene* "This is Officer _______ of ________, Vaiken is lost, I repeat Vaiken Spacedock is lost. We managed to make it to a shuttle, just enough fuel to get us to the surface of Korriban, ______ just got word that there are already survivors on the planet now, at coordinates x______ y______. We don't know who or wha- *static* *explosion* damn, they found us! we're going down, Officer _____ of ______ may-day, may-day we're going- *explosion* *static* *End Cutscene* *Quest updated* Make it to coordinates x______ y______. You're world map may be down, but the coordinates shown on your mini-map are still functional, time to figure out how to get to your location using those coordinates. Once on the proper path, you eventually pass by some shuttle and escape pod wreckage, scorch marks, smoke, more bodies etc, (Vynocks eating the bodies? I think so.) (I should mention this whole area since the start is one GIANT instance, you're by yourself and there'll be no other players to help you.) Back on track: About five minutes of walking giant red desert dunes through a sandstorm, (I'm throwing in a Sandstorm for limited visibility and the fact that the Republic has a giant forest to work with) you come across a giant mountain, in which you have to make your way up, but at the bottom of the underground path, a Terentatek! Destroy it. Once completed, you make your way up this cavern system, once at the top, you exit the instance. Now you find yourself in none other than Dresdae, yes the very same Dreshdae from Knights of the Old Republic. (Wait Avn, Isn't Dresdae almost right next to The Valley of the Dark Lords, Excellent question! But there was a giant cliff off the edge of Dresdae, luckily you were at the valley located at the bottom of said giant cliff which is why you weren't able to locate the Valley of the Dark Lords in the first place, that plus the sandstorm I added makes visibility a bit difficult.) Dreshdae is now a brand new area, for the Imperials to explore and quest around. Alongside being a brand new area, there'll be wounded soldiers that might need you to do a task or two for them, Dresdae may need some supplies to help it flourish back to the way it used to be, help rebuild Dreshdae, it's been a while the place is a bit run down after all. Most importantly, a quest to gather parts for your class ship so that you can use it once again. If the quest isn't taken, which is an option you'd be forced to use planetary shuttles to get from place to place. HOWEVER BACK TO THE MAINSTORY: Fast forward to the Dark Council chambers. *Cutscene* Darth Marr: "You were on Vaiken at the time of the attack, have you any idea who was behind it?" (No idea at all) Dark Council Member: There've been reports of similar attacks on the Republics Station as well. (Remember that these are mirroring each other, so a member of the Jedi Council would say the same think about Vaiken) One member suggests that if that were true, that they should let this enemy destroy the Republic and be done with this war. Marr reminds this member that once the enemy has finished destroying the Republic that they'll turn onto destroying the Empire too. The Dark Council begrudgingly comes to the agreement to re-instate the Peace Treaty and that the Republic and Empire should band together in hopes to defeat this new threat. Your new task is to go with the Dark Council and you are to meet the Jedi Council on Dantooine in the Jedi Ruins, (Same exact area from both KOTORS) to discuss the new treaty. You make your way from the Starport to the Jedi Ruins. Throughout the uneasy meeting, discussions about who the enemy is and where they come from, how to deal with them has all been discussed. Coming to the mutual agreement to sign this treaty and work together. The Republic has tasked you with a new companion from the Republic, and the Sith task an Imperial companion for the Republic player. The companion notices your world map (whatever gadget it might be lore-wise) is damaged, and he offers to repair it as a sign of goodwill to the new treaty. The meeting adjourned you are called aside by Darth Marr to speak with him privately. (Satele for Republic) They tell you to keep an eye on your new companion and that he should not be entirely trusted. You now have Dantooine to explore as a brand new planet to level your character with a bunch of side quests, and more places to discover that were found in KOTOR and new places added in as well. You will get to know your new companion as well, as you are forced to use only him for the time being. Your task now is to do (undecided main story quest) for a bit, and at the end of that quest, you're ambushed by an assassin of sorts, bearing the faction logo seen on the attackers from Vaiken before. She's a Gold Elite so she'll be a tough one to kill. Once she is killed however, you search her body for information about who she is, who she's with and what she wanted. You come across a holo-recorder and play it back. A cloaked masked individual appears, with their voice distorted so you can't make out the identity or sex of the person at all. Anonymity seems to be this factions strongsuits. The recording more or less goes as follows. (Imperial Side) "Our spies were sent to follow the _______ (your endgame title) on Korriban when they crash landed. They've reported that ______ and the Dark Council will be meeting with the Jedi and Republic on the Dantooine system. I'm keeping my spies on Korriban to gather more information, I leave it up to you to wait for the ________ and gather as much intel on him and their plans as possible. Do not be seen, do not fail me." New Companion: "Hmm, if there's spies on Korriban, there's probably spies on Tython as well." *player responds* New Companion: "Yes, well regardless, we should get this information back to the council members immediately." *NEW QUEST ADDED* Return to the Council members and inform them of your findings. *Flash forward to the Jedi Ruins* Darth Marr: "Troubling. *paces around for a moment.* _________ return to Korriban and deal with these spies, kill all of them save for one, and bring him back here for questioning. *NEW QUEST ADDED* Discover the Spies on Korriban You return to Dresdae, it looks much better than it has when you first arrived there. These spies will be pretty difficult to find, you'll be tasked with asking around Dreshdae if anyone has seen anyone with the insignia you found on the female assassin from Dantooine. (Kind of like the Bounty Hunter event?) Most people will say no, truthfully too. Eventually there'll be that one person who has seen that insignia, and they tell you they were seen going into the cavern system that you came UP from that crash landing a few days ago. (Republic, your spies went back into the forests.) *NEW QUEST ADDED* Find the Spies in the Red Wastes (Figured the area should have a name after-all) This new instanced area still has the ship wreckage and escape pod wreckage, bodies have disappeared though. This new area, is much bigger than what it was before, you're once again by yourself with any companion of your choosing. Dust storm is still going on. Eventually, and I heavily emphasize EVENTUALLY because the Red Wastes, and Tythons Lush Forest will be VERY BIG. You'll find a small campsite with your spies, massacre them all. You get your last enemies health down low and he bends down in injury. *Interrogation Cutscene* (Good opportunity for Light Side/Dark Side Points) The usual who are you why have you attacked the stations, why are you attacking everyone. He doesn't respond at all. (Knock him out with your fists for Dark Side, Inject him with a Sterelizer as a neutral option, Bind & Blindfold him for Lightside points) *NEW QUEST* Take the Spy to The Council Members on Dantooine _____________________________________________ I got to go for now, however part 2 of this idea will be written later on. Because you know what, I'm kind of having fun creating my imaginary expansion here, I hope everyone enjoys what's been going on so far. ____________________________________________ TL;DR: A brand new expansion, featuring a new *UNKNOWN* enemy, who has destroyed both Vaiken Spacedock and The Republics Station as well. Forcing both the Empire & Republic to reinstate the Peace Treaty in an uneasy alliance. -LV CAP RAISED: 55 - 70 -New Areas: Dresdae on Korriban & Unamed Area similar to Dreshdae on Tython. New Planets: Dantooine, and others that have yet to be mentioned.
  17. Thank you, and everyone as I said before I had to go unexpectedly, but yes I definitely will copy it in right now

  19. I agree with the KoToR/KoToR2 Robes too, Jedi & Sith please
  20. Regardless of the material, soft, rubbery, hard, or whatever. It doesn't look good at all, it should stay still when speaking, otherwise it looks absolutely ridiculous.
  21. At least in Star Wars Galaxies there was a real tree.
  22. Good times, good times. Great video too, I miss my SoroSuub, YT-2400, VT-49 Decimator, TIE Oppressor, and my unique Imperial Pilot Ace Jacket and Helmet, something SW:TOR couldn't seem to handle, just recoloring the Imperial Operatives PVP Armor to Red. I miss Star Wars Galaxies, that to me, was Star Wars. ^That is my opinion SWTOR fans
  23. It may seem like a stupid question to ask, but how many people working for BioWare's SW:TOR, actually play their game? To those employees/community managers (and fans of the game here on the forums) I would like to ask: How much do you play? What Level is your main? What faction / class / race do you play? Are you happy with how SW:TOR turned out? Is there anything you'd want to add to the game? ____________________________________________ Personally, I played nearly everyday from morning to night, (quite unhealthily) but I've slowed down a bit from that I'm a level 52, human Imperial Agent, Operative. Bumps are expected to be found along the long MMO road, but eventually those bumps become smoothed out. It's been a fun 2, almost 3 years and I'm glad that SW:TOR is around as it is despite my previous post The things I'd really like added, which has been teased already is the Super Secret Space Project. Manaan for Imperial and Republic players alike to mingle and quest/FP/raid/pvp together (Like how the Selkath enforced that strict peace law in Knights of the Old Republic) and lastly, Dantooine for some good old KOTOR series nostalgia, the scenery and music was simply beautiful.
  24. Well thank you for paying to post your thoughts. Everyone has their opinions and thoughts, I respect yours, I only ask that you could respect mine and others as well.
