  1. As a SWG vet and on top of that SWG being my first MMO i feel your pain. I am still playing and still enjoy the class strories, but I hate the fact that they went the WoW route with dungeon/PvP min/max garbage. In SWG it was about making friends and working together. Everyone in my guild/friends list was welcome to do instances or DWB runs - despite gear. Gear was awesome, and the crafters were revered, but it was just one small part of the equation. PvP was fun and I was obsessed with it because it became personal. It was a war that spread across the Galaxy. We had to protect our bases, crush the rebel scum, and take control of the major cities. No one makes MMOs like that anymore
  2. I actually really like the fleets - but I think every planet and the fleet need a dueling area, even if it is based on the KOTOR arena. I also think the faction capitals need player housing similar to KOTOR apartments, allowing guests on our ships, and all the cantinas need games and swoop racing. These features alone could transform the social aspect of the game and bring back a lot of players who left because they feel it is a single player game with online features.
  3. Yep I forgot that one, and that is actually a good reason.
  4. The fact that they allow you to have character's of both factions on a single server (which is something I disagree with) makes it pointless in my opinion. I guess maybe they don't want to start at level 1 on an alt.
  5. I always go with the shaved head look and full beard for my Jedi, maybe because it's what I have IRL. It looks super tough and yet wise...
  6. I agree with the OP 100%. I love the game - flaws and all. My favorite games have all been severly flawed, but they all have two things in common - They were fun and were based on Star Wars. My all time favorite game (SWG) was a mess but it was fun and addicting. I admit I have taken a couple long breaks since CB until now but I do that with all games. This game keeps me comming back because it's fun, and that is the most important factor for any game. I play games to have fun, not for esports (so utterly stupid), and not for an unpaid second job (weekly raiding). This game provides enough of the fun factor that I keep playing and subbing. Now that I got my fanboy rant over with, I do hope that the devs make the new worlds open (or more so than the current worlds are) and I do hope for a JTL type of space expansion. I also want real open world PvP, and I want fleet invasions. I want a lot more for this game, but I still love it as is. I think it's because I am a big time SW fanboy. If this was high fantasy, I may be less forgiving lol.
  7. Or just have fun playing video "GAMES" and not worry about that sniper. You do have a good point though, as it is better than the nerdrage.
  8. While it's cheesy Life Day was in SWG as well, it's a Wookie Holiday.
  9. "So, it was announced that Episode VII will NOT be any story we've known from the novels/comics. That means...Luke Skywalker's NJO is OUT!" It does not mean that at all, it's just being written from scratch.
  10. When I read the article of what ESO will havee and will not have, my expectations of what an Elder Scrolls MMO could be were crushed.
  11. Stay friends with him but secretly level a toon on the other faction. Then while questing with him mysteriously lose your connection, log your secret alt in and gank him. Then log back in and quest some more with him. Do this over and over and over.
  12. It really depends on your play style and what you want to do. I prefer control utilities with burst damage in PvP. In PvE sustained damage is better imho. I don't know why some people are using PvE numbers to argue PvP builds. I really hope we get dual specs soon, if so I would run Combat in PvP and Watchman in PvE.
  13. No, I actually enjoy the game. GW2 is not that impressive, if people complain that this game is to linear, GW2 is way worse. Also D3 is not even in the same game type category as TOR so it does not matter.
  14. GW2 is going to disapoint a lot of people for sure, and the cash shop is a show stopper for me.
