  1. Being 'top' in this game is like being top of the special class where counting more buses as they go past is an achievement. This game is, as many have stated already, super super easy. I've never been in an MMO where I've managed to max everything. It wouldn't be so bad if I actually had to try to max out everything but I quite honestly haven't. For the first 3/4 months I was turning up to our twice a week raids and doing some PvP in between stuff. And I've done everything the game has thrown at me. Now this legacy patch is here, underwhelmed, a whole ton of stuff I can pretty only ever use when I'm on my own, some funny emotes and a baby sheep pet. Yay! I'm sure this'll satisfy a certain chunk of player base but for me it failed. Anyone claiming their top at this game needs a reality check, a monkey just bashing his head against the keyboard can be top at this game. See you in GW2/SW/<insert yet another overhyped MMO here> One day a developer will just go ahead and create something that'll last, like an EQ or a DaoC or something that isn't dumbed down to the lowest denominator.....
  2. It's not really nailing it dead on though is it. Even if, as evidenced, Bioware created this to cater for a casual audience even the most time constrained person can quite easily max pretty much everything in the game as it currently stands. That should never happen in an MMO (the emphasis on Massive). I shouldn't be able to login for a few hours a week and at the end of 3 months have absolutely everything done. Should I? We clear ops in just over an hour now 8 and 16, nightmare mode currently pointless due to bugs/rewards, and nightmare mode is just more HP and adds not different strats. The overall offering is so tepid and bland, I have maxed out everything I possibly can and I am not the most hardcore gamer out there, hell I was defending the game in the first 6 weeks when the people who were hardcore were whining they had nothing to do. Well guess what now we of the time poor life rich crowd also have nothing to do too. Easy game, easy everything = disaster The current situation is unsustainable and I can't see anything changing it. Yet another SW franchise dies a death. Sad but true.
  3. What a ridiculous change. Losing patience with BW when they focus on inane changes and not the game stuff...you know the stuff that'll keep the ££'s rolling in.
  4. They need to fix the following: A point to Kolto Pack - I rarely, if ever use it. When you can cast UM for 1.7 sec cast and get UH proc off of it what is the point of Kolto? Revise the AE heal - either make it heal for more targets - Sage hits up to 10 for similar amounts of healing that KC does, not sure why ours gets hit so hard? if it's because it's insta - make it castable. Aside from that we're still a v.strong healing class, especially in PvP.
  5. Yes. Its still very new so happy with the amount of stuff to do. Only gripe is it is way too easy to get top level gear.
  6. All this game needs saving from is the continual whining of pplwho clearly didnt read the box and wanted wow in space. Gw2 will be out soon you can head there and cry some soon too.
  7. Been debating going all the way up to Kolto cloud, I rarely use it so it seems kinda pointless in it's current state. Curious to know what your spec is?
  8. The Progenitor - Heavy every day up till around 3am when the vampires rest Your opinion/experience is not mine.
  9. Grouped all the way from 10-50, on second char now and doing the same. Amazing what being sociable will do for you. But then our server is quite chatty and inclusive.
  10. Finally some kindred spirits. Lets not say too much all the whining might buffs us and we shall be gods I tell ya.....gods!
  11. I'm deeply mistaken but my experience is obviously vastly different to yours. I'm not mistaken, in PvP (exclusively) I can comfortably kite around 3 or 4 melee, Sorcs and Snipers hurt but then LoSing them round turrets up and down stairs etc is easy enough. As I say I run with 2 regular people all the time and one or other of the other 2 classes so we play well as a team. But I'm regularly pulling well over 300k healing with 1 maybe 2 deaths max on all 3 warzones. I am Battlemaster with 2 bits of BM gear, rest is a mix of Champ/Cent. And am Biochem with Rakatas. So I'm either totally deluded or on a daily basis playing against absolutely god awful people with no thumbs.... Which I doubt as some are pretty good. I'm not saying there are issues I am saying that they are really not that bad and IMHO we are one of the best healing classes I've ever played in PvP across any game (used to be a bard in DaoC / AM in Warhammer / ToS in AoC etc etc)
  12. If all of that comes in I will literally be a god. Either we are facing terribles 24/7 or I genuinely do not have any issues healing in pvp whatsoever topping pointless scoreboards, keeping caps till the cavalry turn up with ease etc etc Imho sawbones is the best healing class in pvp. For the record I never pug, usually play with sentinel and gunslinger, plus either vanguard (who guards the sentinel) or another sawbones. I am certainly no pvp god, decent enough but this class is handsdown the best healing class in pvp in any game I have played to date.
  13. Seriously? My experience is totally different, for sone reason I am one of very few republic healers in wz and barely ever die even when focussed we have a ton of skills to get out of trouble. I think sawbones s handsdown best pvp healer. Imo
  14. Doing it with 2 scoundrels atm next week we try nightmare for first time. HM with 2 smugglers was a snooze tbh.
  15. Unreal. There's a channel set up specifically on our server for this sort of thing, PuGing and it gets used a lot. You're in a guild, you either wait/help/assist the rest of your guild in getting up there to level 50 so you can all group together or....heres an idea....speak to other people, the ones you WZ with would be a start! It's not that we live in a modern age its that people a) can't be bothered to get off their a** and make some effort at socialising b) they don't want to interact with anyone else beyond their extended virtual family and/or themselves. MMO's would be a pretty poor place without social interaction.
