  1. For people who want to get this on more then one character i got a tip from a friend. Bring the characters you want it on to the search area and start looking. Once you found it relog to the next character and start looking around the area where you found it. According to my friend it is almost always close to the place where it was just found.
  2. Like so often they took something that was working fine and started to make changes without considering the consequences. Been playing since a few months after launch and my legacy ignore list is already full so I can't add anyone to it. Then to make things worse I see someone in the general chat talking who I know I had on ignore because he was always spamming general chat on almost every planet. They took him off ignore!!! After that I wanted to see who I can definitely keep on my ignore list and who can go off, but all I see is legacy names, not the original names I put on ignore. It would help a lot if you could add more legacy names to ignore (especially with the amount of credit sellers around) and actually see the name of the character you originally ignored. It would also help that you could add a comment, so you can see why you ignored someone.
  3. People probable already posted on this. A simple thing that always used to function well is now a source of agrovation every time you see it: The little toolbar that shows you how many people are in an instance, how many friends are online (that never funcioned properly and still doesnt btw), how many guild members are online and whether you have mail. Now that it's changed it keeps resetting to it's default location, where I don't want it. When I logon to game the location has been reset, if I go into an instance like an operation it's location resets. The toolbar now also has a pop-up that I don't want to see, because it pops up stuff I don't want to know about, like cartel market (which is probable the reason why they changed the toolbar in the first place, unwanted advertisement/harassment I say) Then you write a ticket, which was probable foolish of me. Because well, customer service can't fix such things. The answer I got was almost hilarious if it weren't so sad: you can disable it by change the follwing setting : "Enable Movable Secondary Window" Basically that makes the toolbar go back to the place it was where I don't want it to be and now I can't move it. Not just that, that setting doesn't let you move your inventory, vault, etcetera. So it's useless. Now since I am a programmer in a different field myself I wonder how it is that programmers/developpers in this game keep getting away with releasing/changing and not properly testing changes to functionality. And also re-introducing software bugs/problems that were fixed in the past. In my line of work, factory control basically, I would not last long if I added or changed anything without properly communicating changes with the customer, using the last installed software version at the customer systems, looking out for possible problems and then testing, testing and testing . Now the case of the communication with the customer I can see a difference there to what I do, I only have to communicate with a handfull of people, but that still doesn't mean you have to make changes to something that functioned well before.
  4. Because we always had the 3 yields it was just routine to click the middle one for medium yield, now all of a sudden it's a large yield. Where is the reset button so you can select a medium yield or is this another wasted week? I do hope you realise that at the moment a lot of people are playing because they can't get out of the house. Screwing with things that worked properly before will not keep them playing. Like the poor replacement of the toolbar we had last week, looks a lot like you just wanted to add a possiblity to spam extra advertisment for the cartel market to me. The old one worked better and was't bugged. But you just had to change it.......
  5. Crafting in this game has never been good. Only a few things you can or ever could craft are usefull. Augments, stims, medpacks and if you're doing conquest and have some guild unlocks war supplies and dark projects. Or if you're into it, You can craft some bits to trade for decorations. Can't really call that a good crafting system. I have all crafters and I like to craft, but I do need a reason to do it. what's the point of being able to craft armorings, enhancements, mods, jewelry, weapons, etc if you can't use them? Any bit you loot from a random mob is better then what you can craft. Just for the heck of it i tried to see what the max enhancement is one can craft. It's max 74. Everyone that plays a level 75 char for a week has better pieces then that drop from loot. And you need 8 Solid Resource Matrixes to craft that 74 enhancement. I'm not saying it should be easy to craft a good piece, but give us some useable stuff besides augments and stims Then the amount of resources required and the work you have to put in to crafting an item would actually make sense. As far as I'm concerned I can't ask BW to fix something, because what's needed has never been designed in the first place.
  6. Worked fine in the previous Star Wars MMO. There are trolls on both side, you probable have the worst on rep side already on ignore like me. You'll see that it's a lot easier to find groups for operations or other group related content. Especially since (at least on the Darth Malgus server) there is a lot more activity on imperial side. Happens all the time and in any area that's a bit busy. Check out the emulator i refered to and you'll see there should not be any problem making wookies a playable species, the basis for it already exists since there already is a wookie companion. Romance issues is just a lame excuse. You missed the point here, i was talking about actual statted gear, not cosmetics. High end gear should not just be available from doing master mode ops or so. Just creates boring pvp for me and i'm probable not the only one who sees it this way. There was never anything to gain from going in Ilum's pvp zone. Create new rewards for an area, whethers is gear or a mount. I know in other games you could gain rank and get some nice abilties with it. If you didn't pvp you would also loose that rank and ability. Check the emulator I was referring to and you will never want o play the silly space here again, not pve or pvp. A lot of this has already succesfully been done in other games, making the population a lot happier. Why try to re-invent the wheel with formula's that don't work?
  7. I have a list of things that could be improved, but i'll stick to this: Fix the design flaws that have been in game since day one that make this game not as good as it should be: - Imperial and republic players should be able to chat and join groups together to get things done. Operations and most group related content is almost exactly the same for both side anyway. By making it impossible to meet and group the entire player base has been split in two which is just stupid. - Stop creating quests where players have to compete with each other to click this or kill that, it’s unfair to players that have a slower system and it’s just plain annoying that you have to try and compete with others to get something. It already takes more then enough time to get things done without that. As far as I’m concerned this is just as bad splitting the community because you’re trying to setup players against each other. Even players from the same side have to compete with each other. - This is for a friend of mine that would instantly come back to this game if it’s a game feature: Make Wookie’s a playable species!!! - Every single item should be available to every subbed player (off course acquiring some things should cost more work then others), we all pay the same for our sub, we all should be able to obtain the same items. Skill should not have anything to do with that. - Improve pvp. It’s been a stun/push/dot fest since the beginning. Would like to see some decent pvp. - Create an actual pvp area/world that is actually interesting to go to if it’s not too late. May be to late because it seems the imperial numbers are to large compared to the republic nowadays. Getting objectives done in such an area could give the same reward as getting a queen veteran mode on Ossus done. Can make an exception to it: if you already killed the queen on vet mode then you can’t get the reward from the pvp area and vice versa. - Space……. It’s called space, but it isn’t space. I’m not sure if it’s allowed to name any other games here. So, before this Star Wars MMO there was another Star Wars MMO (I’m pretty sure most people know what I’m talking about). The actual game has stopped, but there is an emulator of this game that also has the space version. Go there and play some, then you understand what space should be like.
  8. Most of this has probable already been said during developement on public test server. But if you put something on a test server make sure people have the means to actually test it which I didn't. Not even one person online on republic side to team up with, let alone three others to form a guild and check this out. Yes, there were people offering to join their guild on the imperial side, but that's just to much of a hassle to test something. That being said and only been able to see the outcome today its not really that much to make a whole fuss about to come and see on test server anyway. You get to design two graphics more or less, one is a banner and one an icon you can show next to your character name. However you can design the banner to look good and then you accept that only to see that the icon, that is displayed to most people looks horrible. You needed to colour the icon in such a way that the colours on the banner look good and then you have to accept a bad looking icon on the side. Why not make it possible to design both seperately??? Then you accept the thing and ofcourse the first time you don't realise it costs 1 mil to accept. The guild has plenty of cash, so a mil isnt that bad. But i had hoped to let other guild members play with this a bit as well. That would probable bankrupt some guilds. Then comes the following, if you do give ranks in the guild the right to change it, it doesnt do a check on whether or not the amount to spend on making this change is within the limits of the vault credit allowance. Someone can just keep making changes if he / she doesn't notice it and bankrupt the guild. - So design wise it's not great because you have to design 2 seperate graphics that influence eachother. - Because of the cost designing will probable only be available to a small group of guild leaders and officers. - This really should not have been presented as a big thing to go see on test server, do that for important updates and make sure that whatever is needed is available to actually test things.
  9. What was his job then? Delivering the deathblow to smaller guilds? In that case he did what he was hired for with 5.10. All I can say is the statement "Seeing guilds flourish from this" only applies to the large guilds.
  10. They just made it harder to min / max gear, but it's still possible. You can put an enhancement from one class into gear for another class. Also the enhancements for dps and healer gear can be different, so those can also be exchanged. All in all they just made it impossible to min / max for a large part of the community, not everyone plays all classes and / or has many characters like me. So Bioware, if you implement a change like this, think a few months about it and make sure you're not just creating more unbalance in the game. It's strange though, normally Bioware tries to please the larger portion of the community, just look how bad the guild perks have turned out for the smaller guilds.
  11. I have seen leadership change after 28 days, not 30. And no, this was not in februari
  12. I already did a bug report on this, but this is what I've seen so far: Lag all over the place. This has been since the update. It has gotten worse since, despite a server restart, but then again the restart was not for fixing lag issues. - It started with lag using abilities. It can take around 2 or 3 seconds, if not more, before an ability is fired. - Connection lost, unable to logon for 5 minutes or so. - Moving things inside any vault or from any vault to inventory or back can take as much as 10 seconds. - When in my Yavin stronghold only one hook loaded, the rest remained invisible for 10 minutes. I was looking for my vaults, so I decided to pick up the vaults and place them again. That way I could make them visible and use them again. - A simular thing as to moving stuf in vaults I think: Sending companions on missions, after clicking send companion it can take 10 seconds before the companion is on the mission. - Loading in the game or switching between characters takes longer then usual. B.t.w. this seems all unrelated to the server lag, while experiencing all of this server lag is between 20 to 40 ms. Correction, I just lost connection for a brief moment when moving stuf in my vaults. I didn't notice this before.
  13. Now and then you see someone complain that getting the HK components is just to much work, so here is something that may help. I did the HK-51 quest on many characters (20 or more) and after the 3rd character or so I started to notice sometimes the locations were exactly the same sa before. So I started to keep a list and noticed that despite what people said, the locations are not random. On every site I have had locations that were exactly the same as before. The list doesnt always help, sometimes it still dropped in an unknown location. But on some characters it only took me 30 minutes and that was including travel times (we didn't have the fancy stronghold travel back then). So here is a list of the locations that I found (locations marked with a * have definately been reoccuring locations): Dark temple grounds: -1721, 477 * -1758, 517 -1558, 557 -1668, 575 -1663, 651 -1645, 613 -1682, 450 * -1571, 703 -1573, 707 -1558, 673 -1670, 523 -1639, 525 * -1622, 564 -1524, 620 Jedi temple: -2915, 3091 -2875, 3002 -3054, 2987 -3016, 2889 -3088, 2930 -2887, 2986 * -3020, 3061 -2962, 2905 -2958, 2874 -2964, 2888 -2951, 3027 -3109, 2927 -2905, 2940 -2921, 2947 -2898, 3069 -3124, 3043 Taris: -120, –157 -121, -148 -51, –142 -15, -114 * 2, -211 -33, -229 * -60, -91 * 99, -222 -56, -140 106, -162 124, -219 38, -178 48, -195 Hoth: 645, –869 * 499, -987 688, -834 * 520, -926 548, -977 476, -753 * 502, -964 * 684, -866 544, -978 611, -931 572, -904 * 665, -900 * 458, -789 493, -805 * 577, -831
