  1. As a core KoToR fan ... and given costs of the story driven (special voiced) content ... I'm going with the following suggestions for the future to keep SWTOR shining ... 1 - expansion content ... like past expansions full of voice acting and major plots tied to "Your story" 2 - episodic story (monthly/quarterly) ... no special acting for this and not tied to your story (tho could use this for additional content story tied to companions) ... sorta like KoToR 10, 11 etc being rolled out ... 3 - Non-story tied companion variety ... ie: just interesting and varied companions to collect and that could group with you expanding the class options by race/sec etc. 4 - Active and aggressive AI in the static world and in particular, and / or as part of the planet control mechanism. Players should have to respond to massive AI incursions and counter-incursions ... this would also engage opposite sides for pvp. While I'm at it ... the days of static npc's standing around spread around map are long gone ... they have a purpose and/or are tied to a camp or event ... just filled map with npc is just weak and immersion killing at this point. see ESO for the benefits of trying to address this. - day/night and more active weather ... immersion immersion ... oh did I say ... immersion!! Here's to the future! /toast
  2. all this time ... and still no dynamic weather systems in TOR. A bit embarrassing really considering what's out these days. Come on EA ... time to step up the weather game! I mean Hoth looks/feels like a calm winter morning in Wyoming ... not the fierce place it is supposed to be! All the planets are in desperate need of weather/wind effects and sound (dynamic weather changing between types of weather) and day/night transitions ... the immersion effect can not be understated and is obviously being underestimated by EA. Shameful.
  3. ... and thanks Dev's in advance. The impetus here is that I love to "walk" in RPG's ... but not crawl ... a good brisk walk ... so I do in fact feel I'm getting somewhere ... while I enjoy the setting and scenery etc .... ... so I humbly request an increase in walk speed. ... My hope also is that this will entice others to "slow down" and enjoy the great work done in SWTOR. *has fingers crossed*
  4. Fatedd ... no ... it should not be expected "in a game like this" ... SW:TOR ... is not an FPS pvp shooter ... and those ego's need their own home to play if Bioware insists on catering to those that play for the shortest amount of sub time of anyone (see Funcom's recent survey's ... that now tell them after X yrs ... that PVE is king ... not PVP for long-term subscribers). PvP (specifically those that only like WZ type pvp) ... are not a paying customer (in general ... they grind to max ... pwn noobs for a bit and move to the next mmo) ... this has been proven mmo after mmo that has attached pvp to it in any form since the late '90's. You either make a game that is instanced PVP only or something like LoL ... or you do full open-world PvP (with all the objectives etc needed ala DAoC) or you do "pure" PvP ... this half backed stuff .. just ticks the core player base of any mmo off ... This is just a peave of mine ... draining resources like AoC did for 2yrs thinking that the PvP crowd was their core sub base is just "ignorant" for being in the business of MMORPG's or RPG's in general. Define your market ... feed it. There is a reason RPG's became popular ... why are you moving away from that model??? (if you answwer well FPS sells more ... reply: and yet ... the RPG market grows and theirs does not ... and the RPG player .. sub's and players longer then any FPS players plays any single game) ... net-net is .... lose the PvP unless your all in. (ie: full open-world daoc objectives/crafter-pvp bonus tie-ins etc). sorry dont play much these days ... but had to get that off my chest. (and yes I'm long-term sub in TOR )
  5. hola love the new changes ... save one ... Ranked PvP should be only on pvp server to help focus the players interested in uber competitive WZ play. This would keep (or help keep at least) ... the pvp ego elitist on the proper servers ... and the rest of us would not have to hear them whine all night long about them not getting ranked teams or that the players they just played with suck! (as they are likely not focused on pvp mainly) oh and let them free move to pvp servers ... and afterwards the DEV team would get better feedback on a server type basis appropriate to the playerbase etc. Just an honest take. flame away
  6. I notice this attention to the PvP crowd ... how many launches of mmo's will it take to tell you this is NOT YOUR "base subscribers" ???? After playing mmo's for 12+ yrs ... it's clear that the PVP crowd is that last peeps you should listen too.... as any content they focus on is is crash'n burn ... ie: one month and I'm gone!! Will dev's get a clue please and focus on your "LONG-TERM" sub's ... who are focused on RPG and the "STORY" you claim to be so focused on!!!????!!!! Are you really stopping at level 50??? seriously???? So I play a "certain game to level 50" ... and I love that game .... .... then though I love the story/setting/environment/etc ... I get forced into a "RAID" mentality game??? *** ARE YOU THINKING?????? Look I've played mmo's for 12+yrs ... and am current age 40+ ... die-hard Star Wars Fan .... ... and yet ... I'm alienated at everyturn ..... ....who the hell do you consider you're target audience????
  7. Dev Question: What is the design philosophy for SWTOR long-term ... end-game or more levels?
