  1. But you're the only one in this thread who's been acting like a 'dick hole'.
  2. All you can do is compare your guildmate's parses with your own and check what they're doing differently. Then maybe post one of your parses on the sniper class forum and ask for advice.
  3. To be honest, you'd probably be better off skipping the level 50 content and heading straight for Makeb and then Oricon afterwards. Oricon will get you some entry-level endgame gear (item rating 156). Whatever equipment you get from level 50 hardmodes will become obsolete very fast. Once you got yourself some rating 156 gear, you can start doing level 55 HM Flashpoints for Black Market gear and Elite Comms, or alternatively do Story Mode Operations. Though you'll want to stick to guild runs for the latter. From here on everything is pretty straight-forward. Get yourself some gear, optimize it as far as possible and advance to the next tier. The 'box' you mentioned comes from third-party software, a combat parser like Parsec (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=674010). These programs read your combat log file and work with the information. Also they're perfectly legal in case you're worried.
  4. Even the Heroic can be solo'ed in 156's easily enough if you play your class correctly. What are you talking about?
  5. Exactly. While it's not a perfect indicator, I've noticed that 'strong' or 'silver star' quest givers tend to give out heroics more often than not.
  6. There's a difference between a star and a triangle you know. What we mean by 'silver star' are mobs marked as 'strong'.
  7. Belsavis dailies can be done at 47. Ilum dailies require you to finish your Class Story first.
  8. That might be why I used 'most' instead of 'all' .
  9. Five star post right there. As for me, I tend to keep to myself ingame due to social anxiety.
  10. There's really no way to know, but I've noticed that most quest givers that are marked with a silver star give out heroics. So that might be something to go by if you're in a hurry.
  11. I'm pretty sure that's impossible. He should join you as a guest at the end of the Nar Shaddaa Consular story and join your crew when you return to your ship. I don't remember too well though. Just keep playing and you will get him eventually.
  12. Arrace. It's the surname my very first character in KotOR had.
  13. Oh haha, I should've been more specific...I'm talking about PvE here, I'm just wearing the Recruit Gear as I don't really have anything better right now. I noticed the issue while doing my Ilum Dailies and haven't had time to test it anywhere else yet (though I did have a friendly duel with a guildmate, to the same results). I'll try my luck on an Ops Dummy later today and see what happens. Anyway, thank you very much for your answers.
  14. So basically...Dantooine is an established planet in Star Wars Lore and has nothing to do with any Krayt Dragons. And I'd love to see Dantooine in SWTOR.
  15. It's pretty much the easiest flashpoint there is. Some might say False Emperor is just as easy and faster but you have to know SOME mechanics for that...so yeah, those who just need to complete one HM FP for their Daily will go for Esseles. About the crashing issue: It never happened to me so I assume it's got something to do with your computer...
  16. Also, if you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask ingame or on the forums. There's no such thing as 'noob' questions. Seriously, we've all been there.
  17. First of all, have you finished the storyline of your starter plant? Because you get your first lightsaber at the end of that. 1) Crystal imbuing exists in the lore. In the Star Wars Universe, Jedi meditate to create their lightsaber crystal. However this does not apply to SWTOR. 2) In SWTOR, Jedi forge their lightsaber themselves, but Sith are given a lightsaber. I'm not entirely sure on this as it's been a long time since I've played all the story lines. I'm pretty sure though that as a Sith you don't forge your own lightsaber, you're given one. 3) Most Lightsabers drop from mobs or are quest rewards. Some lightsabers can be crafted with Artifice, those are called Custom Build (Doublebladed) Lightsabers and Elegant Custom Builded (Doublebladed) Lightsabers. I know the elegant version is Level 50, I don't know about the 'normal' one. There's also other Lightsabers, like Zez-Kai-Ell's Lightsaber. (I've only ever levelled one republic Artificer far enough, so I don't know what they're called for Imp Toons.) 4) That is correct, you'll get lightsabers mostly from drops and quests and then keep modding them.
  18. I have only noticed this over the last two days, so I think this has been around since the last patch...though I haven't played my Shadow much over the last weeks. Anyway, I noticed that my Shadow Strike only does 700-900 dmg right now whereas it used to do 1500+ all the time. Base damage is still described as 1679 too...and my crits hit for up to 4000 frequently. Shadow Strike used to be around 30%+ of my total damage and now it's at 7%...I haven't changed anything with my build or gear, I'm a basic Level 50 Infiltration Shadow (2/31/8) in Recruit Mk-2 gear...does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Thanks!
Danke!
  21. Personally I never forgot about him. He was avenged when I met Malak's apprentice, I forgot his name. o:
