  2. Only certain Heroic Space missions appear in the log on certain days. If you don't do that day's Heroic mission, you lose out on it for that week. I just did Sunday's Heroic(s) yesterday with no issue, so I'm not sure why you aren't seeing any.
  3. And you didn't think to kick him the 2nd or 3rd time he did it? Shame on you in this case. I like to use an adage about gaming in MMO's: "Don't bite the hand that heals for you; but chop off the hand that steals from you."
  4. I thought that the crit buffs with recklessness were multiplicative, not additive. Meaning if you had 20% crit before and used Recklessness you would get an actual (48)% increase making it a total of 68% to crit with force attacks. Is it additive or multiplicative? Can anyone confirm real quick?
  5. The problem doesn't stem from hard modes, the problem stems from making casual players think they are adept at playing the game. Was in a group yesterday with a guy who was wearing the "founder" title and he didn't know what CC was, didn't recognize a CC'd mob, and kept breaking CC every fight. (We eventually kicked him). But the fact that someone who is a FOUNDER (aka been here since the beginning) didn't know this was just so very shocking. Part of the problem stems in the fact people just don't read. They don't read their skills, they don't read their quests, and they don't read the recommended gear level for operations (I'm looking at you Mr. I'm-in-mostly-level-50-greens-but-I-queued-up-for-SM-TFB-anyways-guy). The other part of the problem is these people think that every piece of content should be accessible to them no matter what. I blame BioWare for this fully because they don't make it clear that Flashpoints require coordination. Hard Modes require even MORE coordination and being decently geared, and Operations require the most coordination/gear out of them all. BioWare has FAILED to supply this information directly to players and thus they have created the illusion that all players should be able to access it. Honestly, looking back I actually applaud Blizzard for their attunement quests and massive reputation grinds to get into end-game raids. Because the bad players would never make it past the lengthy attunement requirements or put in the necessary time to grind reputation to raid. BioWare has handed out instant access operations and this is our result...a plethora of inept troglodytes mashing their faces on the keyboard and expecting gear to just be handed to them.
  6. You know, it's moments like this that bring back memories. Memories of people who seem to think that being overleveled and overgeared for content means it will be "faceroll easy". I remember back in WoW seeing level 80's WIPE in AQ40 because they didn't know the mechanics. Or seeing level 80's WIPE on Kael'thas in the Eye because they didn't understand the mechanics. Star Wars may be easy to most people who frequent the forums in comparison to some of WoW's raids; but that doesn't mean it doesn't still require coordination and knowledge of the mechanics. This has been a PSA for learning operation mechanics BEFORE you enter. Thank you!
  7. Thanks for that insightful and well thought post Hobo. Would you like to explain anything else Captain Obvious? Back on topic though. I agree with the thread's point. I don't necessarily think that the issue is the result of "bad guilds though". I think the problem lies in the fact that people feel *obligated* to join a guild otherwise they are deemed inferior. I left my raiding guild 2 months ago and was the best decision I ever made. I may join another guild but I'm not in any rush to do so. The reason I left was (among other things) they were accepting nearly anyone in the guild for no reason and people didn't understand basic concepts. This same issue applies to all guilds/pugs. The basic concepts JUST AREN'T THERE. These group finder quests show a recommended gear level; and yet people are entering with level 45-50 greens/blues. I'm seeing DPS who just sit still for 10 seconds and dont do anything, or they are keyboard turners that don't know how to follow the boss by moving their mouse. The problem with storymode operations is that no matter how "easy" they make it; it seems like there are people who are just dumber then they expected still queuing up for it.
  8. You get less power from stacking Willpower over raw Power, but stacking Willpower will give you crit % as well. That's why it's more favorable, you end up with less power, but more crit % and the overall combination of the stat is more useful then stacking one single tertiary stat. A kind of "Sum of the parts is greater then the whole" situation.
  9. I'm bumping this as well just because BioWare needs to take a look at space missions. To reiterate and summarize what's been said: 1) Comms needs to be upgraded to at least elite comms for some of the Heroic (if not all of the Heroic) missions. 2) Tier 7 gear was acknoldged by BW to be a mistake in being sold on the market. Please rectify this by releasing ALL of the schematics to cybertechs. 3) Fleet comms need to have an incentive for being used; there need to be new crafting rewards available. (Mass Manipulation Generators comes to mind; and no this is fine, with the new tier of 75 gear now out there's no sense in limiting crafting so much as it has been) 4) Reward players for completing bonus missions with something besides experience. Return credit rewards for completing bonus missions, or give scaling rewards at the end based on how many bonus parts of the mission you complete. (Scaling rewards is probably too hard to code, but I can dream can't I?) I'm sure more work could be done on space; but these few things need to be addressed soon!

  11. Only problem with this? Skill and gear can't be replaced with a single click. Despite the argument that "Oh you lose a healer? just have one of your DPS respec and problem solved". Yea, most of the people out there that play DPS roles in dual-spec scenarios DON'T know how to play healer or tank and don't have the gear for it either. DPS respeccing as tank is actually WORSE, since they don't have the mitigation stats to be a tank. Imagine for a second that a Deception assassin tried to tank. Yea, painful huh? Or a lightning sorc who tried healing and doesn't know the rotation? He'll be out of force in 6 casts easy if he's not versed. You are quite right. Dreaming is free, as is dreaming about people just "magically" gaining the gear and skill to play off-specs.
  12. Kid, please hush and stop being overtly dramatic. Before 2.0 Hybrid was not only good, it was the PREFERRED build among most juggs because the top tier talents in Immortal were complete trash. Now that immortal top talents were redone and are much better and vengeance was redone with some nice buffs, they full build trees are better in their own right. With that being said; hybrid is PERFECTLY viable in PvP still. And if you don't run flashpoints/operations they can do whatever they like.
  13. I can't recall the thread I read somwhere but I remember it was the proc damage relic with internal/elemental. Go with elemental if you have any elemental damage boosting talents, otherwise internal proves to be the best. (This is after getting the Serendipitous Assault relic of course)
  14. @ OP. This isn't trolling or flaming you...but you may create this; but as I'm sure you are aware a MINORITY of the players who play the game actually visit the forums. And even those who do visit the forums aren't required to follow this "guideline". (And yes, I'm taking a bit of a devil's advocate stance here). But is there a reason to this poll/"guide" (I use that term loosely here as I feel this doesn't really seem like a guide, more like your personal opinion on how things should be done)? I don't really see any reason because, as stated, no-one has to follow it. Again, to sum up: other discussions on the forums debate abilities, content, builds, requests, etc. They all revolve around discussing something that is actionable or debatable in some form. Yet, this doesn't really fufill any of those purposes; kinda feels like you created the thread for the sake of creating it. *MY* opinion, that's all. Edit: Not to mention that most of the people I've ever had Need/Greed or Speed Run issues with are the same types of people who would probably never visit a forum in the first place.   17. Let's not forget the credit nerfs as well. You used to get credits (and experience while leveling) for completing the bonus missions in space combat. It actually provided an incentive. Now you get NOTHING for doing bonus missions. I'm 55, I don't need the experience, so bonus missions are a waste of effort now with no incentive to complete them. I hope they are coming out with more rewards/incentives/updates for space combat but I'm not holding my breath.
  18. This is actually a really insightful post and I agree completely. Directive 7 is still one of my favorite Flashpoints. Funny thing is, CWG used to be the "group killer" not Red Reaper. CWG first pull used to be so ridiculously hard people would wipe and just disband because they didn't understand the mechanics + not having the innate regen on turrets. I would actually KILL for a challenging Hard Mode CWG.

That is an entire engine built around a battlefield style gameplay. It looks awesome; but it's not an MMO. It's a constant battlefield. It's a game in it's own right. I'd like to see space combat expanded upon, but what you are wishing for is another game, not this game. Just be patient and hope EA develops it well and it comes out in the next couple of years.
  20. It's obvious that you didn't read the patch notes I listed because the patch notes I linked don't even mention hold the line. Guess I'll have to do all the hard work of actually THINKING before I type, something you clearly don't uphold to the same degree of importance that I do. This issue of "AoE" abilities inadvertently flagging you if a flagged enemy ran into them was fixed OVER a year ago. Go ahead, prove me wrong. I'd love to see some hard evidence. (I.e. a video clearly outlining that the issue that was fixed has resurfaced). As for hold the line. It's understandable that someone such as yourself doesn't really know how to discern abilities; but it only works for MOVEMENT impairing abilities. These include slows, knockbacks, roots, pushes, and pulls (which essentially are varying mechanics of knockbacks, but I thought I'd list them out for clarity). You can STILL be affected by Stuns, knockdowns, blinds/mezzes, and force choke (which is a form of a stun) while using Hold the Line. It is not your get out of jail free card, do not pass the firepits, do not collect free-win. It still takes EDUCATED and timed usage of it to make it a good skill.

  22. For a new character? Yup, useless. But not when that char reaches 50. While I don't mind the crystals on my alts; I do think the idea of using what was once considered "top tier" crystals at level 10 devalues the stats too much. I mean, honestly there is NO reason for my artificer to ever create any color crystals really because people either use cartel crystals; or they use rare drops from Flashpoints/Operations. Maybe thats why they gave artifice dye modules (even though most of the craftable ones are complete ****) to help make up for the fact that the cartel market screwed over Artifice (as well as Armormech/Synthweaving).
  23. Give it a couple months and they'll bring it back, just recolored most likely, so they can sell it in the Cartel Market. That's the only thing I can feasibly come up with. I mean why else remove the vendor entirely? They could have created a "Legacy Armor" vendor (not to be confused with your in-game legacy) that sold the old tier shells; but they didn't. Again, my best guess is that in 3-6 months they will release the gear shells as part of yet another cartel market pack.

He wasn't talking about the default "Darth" title, he was talking about the 3 possible fluff titles you get at the end of chapter 3 based upon your alignment. None of the 3 above are actually displayable in-game; they are just there for story and based upon your alignment at completion of the story.
  25. I'm with this guy (that I quoted). I think you (The OP) showcased pretty good skill; but the showboating plus "Baddie down" in Gree really just soured me to the rest of the video. Stop treating every enemy as being inferior to you. Regardless if you win a 3v1 or 1v3 fight; show humbleness in victory and grace in defeat.
