  1. Well, unfortunately Bioware hasn't given us retroactive credit for the achievements that were previously bugged. I'm going to put in some support tickets and see if they can help me out, but it's starting to look like all the raids we've done so far were a complete waste of time. Hopefully they'll reconsider.
  2. Thanks for the interest Isyn, I'll be sure to toss you an invite in future weeks. A few scheduling items: 1) We're going to have to cancel tonight's raid. I have some stuff going on tonight, and I can't make it. So take the night off and we'll be back next week. Sorry for the late notice. (I'll see if any of my guildmates are interested in trying to coordinate things in my place. If so, I'll post contact info here) 2) I want to pre-emptively cancel the raid for 6/11 as well. That's when the patch hits, and I know some people (myself included) will have plans with their guild to check out the new Nightmare TFB raid.
  3. Great point. I always forgot about the new bolster system.
  4. What Valsy says could very well be true. My earlier analysis was based of PVE content, where Kolto Cloud makes up a much smaller percentage of healing done than it does in PVP. (Generally, because my raid group is smart enough to not stand in fire, and so there's a lot less AOE healing to do than in PVP.) I can crunch the firm numbers later when I'm at home. The stat difference from cunning is unlikely to make a meaningful impact on your healing numbers, and Kolto Cloud will obviously do more with the extra 15%. I worry about losing expertise in PVP though - mostly for the survivability loss. A dead healer isn't healing anyone, and I always tend to prioritize expertise over everything else.
  5. IMO - Not really. Parse your healing sometime in a raid, and see what percentage of healing done is Kolto Cloud. For me, it's a fairly low number, and boosting that number by 15% doesn't offset the losses to SRMP. I have full Underworld tier amorings though, so maybe I'm giving up more stats than some people who aren't raiding HM S&V. Edit: Whoops. I read your question backwards, and thought you wanted to use PVP armorings in PVE. I think my answer is still the same though, I wouldn't give up the expertise. I just don't think a few points extra healing on Kolto Cloud is really that big of a deal. If you can give me the stats of the PVE armoring and the PVP armorings in question, I can give you actual math numbers using my healing output spreadsheet. I just don't have that data in front of me at the moment.
  6. Reminder bump, raid tomorrow! This time with less patch-day login issues. We have plenty of open slots for anyone interested in coming. We're probably going to blow through 16-man HMEV and HMKP this week.
  7. <Tatooine Royal Navy> would like to welcome their aquatic planetary bretheren, and also respectfully requests that you post this thread in the proper guild recruitment forum.
  8. It depends on the fight. In a big time aoe heavy fight (like Titan 6, for example), I just keep 2 stacks of SRMP rolling on the entire raid at all times, and let the other healer handle the top-off tank healing (such as before the huge grenade). In fights that are mostly just tank damage, like the Glittering Fury, then I mostly just keep SRMPs on the tanks and use a lot more UWM/EMP to keep them up, similar to how we healed in 1.0. The thrasher fight is probably the hardest fight to single target heal right now. He's got the highest percentage of undodgeable attacks, which is particularly punitive towards shadow tanks. That's probably the fight where I cast the most Underworld Medicine. You're right. Sometimes something happens and you lose your stacks. It's not a huge deal really, there's only a few times that I really really really want to have everyone with max stacks. I want to have hots on everyone going into the Titan 6 beserk phase (20%hp or whatever), in the dragon phases of Styrak, and also going into the Anomalies phases on the last boss of TFB. Anyway, I'm a little off topic. Here's the point: Do what works for you. In some fights, it helps to have max stacks on everyone (even if it's a lot of work). In other fights, that's a big waste of time. Regardless, I find SRMP to be the foundation of my raid healing these days, so I recommend itemizing for power and alacrity.
  9. Glad to help Without mathing out the exact breaking point, I'd say just take gear upgrades where you can get them. It's one of my great frustrations that when Kolto Pack was terrible (1.0), our 4-piece set bonus was a buff to it. Now that Kolto Pack is useful, they changed our set bonus to something useless (+5 energy). The 2-piece set bonus is the only one worth caring about, and even then I wouldn't value it over stat upgrades. If the choice was between a 69 armoring w/ set bonus, and a 72 armoring without, I miiiiiiiiight decide to hang onto 2 of the lower armorings, but it's certainly not as critical for our class as it is for some others. IMO, you want to maximize power and alacrity. That's the short version. Do you want the long version? Click for more. I haven't found a desperate need for Cleanse. I've done more raiding than HM flashpoints, so ymmv. Either way, I don't think there's much you can do about it. You want alacrity, but it's not going to be the cureall when you need to do some dispelling. It's awesome. Math wise, it does approximately the same amount of healing as casting one SRMP and one EMP, but with only a single cast time. You can't cast it on the run, but it's healing per effective cast time is awesome. Use it whenever possible, generally on the tank. I'm with you. Do you want to see my massive rant about how terrible the new relics are for healers? (Warning: You don't - it's obnoxious). Here's the tl;dr version: Underworld Relic of Ephemeral Mending - If you average out the healing done, versus the healing you'd get passively on an Elite War Hero relic, you'll find that the relic probably comes out ahead. This is twice as true if you're refreshing SRMPs (where you're effectively getting twice the benefit of your bonus power in a single GCD) or Kolto Pack (which just has a killer power coefficient). Underworld Relic of Serendipitous Assault - Argh, this thing makes me mad. There's a lot of math behind making the comparisons, but I generally find that this relic is worth about 25-50 more power (on average) than your passive Elite War Hero relic. However, you're trading consistency away for spikey gains, which is something I absolutely loathe as a healer. My primary healing concern are those moments where sh*t hits the fan and I have to desperately try and save someone - and I'm not willing to rely on a 6 second window every ~22 seconds to be there when I need it most. Clicky Relics - I generally dislike these too. They're better than Serendipitous Assault, because they're there when you need them, but most fights don't have pre-defined high damage phases where this is super critical. When those phases do crop up (styrak's 4th phase, titan 6's beserk, etc) I already have an adrenal and pugnacity. I don't need 2 more clickies for that window. So I'm still using my Elite War Hero relics for the passive power. I'm pretty salty about it though, I hate the fact that previous tier PVP gear is the BiS for the current tier PVE content. Bad design. Grrrrr. Can we get some upgraded Matrix cubes please? The fact that you're here and asking questions means you're already a leg up on most people. Keep up the good fight, I'm sure you'll do fine.
  10. We're going to have to call off the 16-man achievement raid tonight, a bunch of people are having login issues. We'll reschedule for next Tuesday. See you then!
  11. @ bailyb - We'll probably start the level 55 ops in a few weeks. Just let me know your toon's name. @ Everyone else - Just a reminder, tonight is the night! See you all at 7pm Server Time. Let's discover whatever new bugs today's patch introduced!
  12. You basically just said everything that I did, but in an incredibly unpolite fashion
  13. At the OP: You want Cunning Augments. Respectfully, I don't think you know what you're talking about: 1. You can't "stack alacrity and surge". Those are both tertiary stat, and to get one of them you have to sacrifice the other. Depending on the tier of gear you're at, you might have something like 700 total tertiary stats. So generally speaking, you can do 700 alac and 0 surge, 700 surge and 0 alac, or some split of the two. However, you can't "stack" those stats at the expense of other stats. 2. Even if you could, your math is wrong. The value of surge scales with the amount of crit you have. With less crit, surge becomes less valuable, therefore stacking surge at the cost of crit would be self-defeating. 3. The acutal amount of alacrity you want is around 500ish, which leaves you with about 200 points in surge at the underworld tier. tl;dr - You want power/alac.
  14. Okay, all updated. There's still plenty of room! We have a few absences every week, so please feel free to sign up as an alternate.
  15. We should kill Bonethrasher using only the legacy "fisticuffs" attack powers.
  16. Whoops! Fixed, good catch Good call on "hidden" cheevos. We parked Karagga's corpse on the elevator last week. That counts, right?
  17. Alright, another awesome raid, this time blowing through SMEC - including the ultra-pro strat of killing Kephess before you kill the Pulsar Droids: http://i.imgur.com/GD09vVl.jpg Next week, we'll be tackling HMEV and HMKP. 18. Tonight's raid was a smashing success! KP and EV both cleared in about 90 minutes. Up next week, Storymode EC and more! If you'd like to come with us, just sign up below!
  19. Bump for tomorrow! We have more than enough people to finish the storymode runs, but I'll probably backfill with random PUGs from the fleet anyhow. See you guys then!
  20. To the guys above; Added you all, see you on Tuesday! It might appear like we're out of healer slots, but don't let that stop you from expressing interest. We'll make the numbers work.
  21. Hello folks, I run with an 8-man guild, but some of us want to knock out a few of 16-man raiding achievements that we don't have. So I'll be hosting some open 16-man raids for anyone who's interested in coming along. I'll be bringing along a core of raiders from <Tatooine Royal Navy>, but there's room for plenty more! We're only going to do one 16-man raid per week, knocking out all the easy stuff first. We'll start with storymode EV - which we could probably clear with 8 people, but we might as well bring more people along for an achievement run. Who: You (unless you're a filthy imp!) What: 16-man Storymode Eternity Vault When: Tuesday (4/30) @ 7pm Why: Cheevos! We have a teamspeak3 server available, so install that if you'd like to use voice chat. Any relevant loot (speeders, vanity items, etc) will be open rolls. If you're interested, post a reply in this thread with your character's name & role (dps/tank/healer) so that I can save your spot. I'll send out invites at 7pm sharp on this coming Tuesday. See you then!
  22. Stuck most definitely does not fix this problem. I've had this happen to me 5 times in the last week. (I use roll a lot). Done PVPing until it's fixed.
  23. Happens to me nightly. I logged out in frustration yesterday, and don't plan on PVPing till it's fixed.
