In this launch BW is adding waves of players to the servers because the flood caused by letting everyone on at once would risk server crashes. But I wonder if there is a more efficient way of getting people into the game.
Consider not 5 waves in a day but instead 50 ripples spaced in the same time frame. Smaller groups of people, but a much larger number of groups would mean the pulses of server load would be more evenly spread out and more people could get on without stressing the servers. Better yet, a constant stream of people getting access throughout the day would most efficiently maximize player access without overloading the servers.
Of course, I may have a completely incorrect view of server mechanics, so please correct me if I'm wrong. If you like this idea, please discuss it and maybe it'll catch Bioware's eye.
