  1. This game really doesn't need the upper spec DPS classes nerfed. It needs the lower specs classes raised to match them. Especially like people have said the R4 Ops needs as many DPS as possible, unless your plan is to whittle down the really lower DPS classes so they're unplayable and make people only play the upper tiered ones. Also like has also been said, replacing a DR with a Root when most Ops bosses and the things you generally use it on literally can't be rooted is a bad move. Some of the changes are good but there are some that are just so questionable. Even if you nerf some damage on certain abilities you can't just do that and not raise the DPS of others. When you have a 12k difference between the highest and lowest DPS classes that's unacceptable and the solution isn't to leave the lower ranked classes around where they are and nerf the upper ranked ones. A 5k difference or something like that between DPS classes is fine but not by the margins were's still seeing today.
  2. Still Broken, just did it here too and came here looking to see what happened. I know people talk about how they took the extra 2 months, but if this is still how bad it can be how bad was it before the 2 months. Seriously though you'd think theyd'd have patched it by now.
  3. Well that's odd, I created a level 60 like 3 times yesterday to grab the starting armor for 3 characters yesterday, space barred the intro, mailed the gear to the character I wanted to have it when they hit 60, deleted it and every time I got my token back, so it seems to be a random thing...or I just really, really, really lucky
  4. LGBT are the initials that refer collectively to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered people.
  5. I would agree shoot your friends in game mails telling them why you left and then get the hell out of that unappreciative guild, nobody should be a whipping boy for idiots. If they don't appreciate you, which it sounds like they don't then forget them and find a Guild that would. You could always try the SWTOR Guild Quiz to give you a few recommendations too, it's how I found my guild.
  6. I always laugh when I read about Character name changes, it's a massive pain to name a character nowadays. Whenever I create a new toon it takes almost an hour before I don't get the "Name is Unavailable" message, god help those who try to change their name now.
  7. Spoke to Runegan when he was advertising the guild on Korriban a few days ago and checked out the site and have just put in an app under my main toon name Kaedis
  8. There's always one who has to come into a harmless little fun thread and complain isn't there?
  9. I too love play by post RPin'g and everything, pre-forum purge I even wrote out out my Jedi Knight's biography, never got to post in or use it anywhere. And being in the EU a majority of the RP guilds that have on-going RP's I've often found are on US servers or are either Empire or Republic only and not both, at least in a guild sense. And sadly outside SW sites for RPing a lot of them don't know the Old Republic era very well.
  10. I'm going to pipe in here with my own I LOVE THIS GAME! announcement. I've been loving it since beta and I still love it today. That's not to say I don't have a few issues with it but really they aren't massive ones I feel. Obviously more content is always a given so there's no need to mention it in great detail. For me the main two I would love to see: 1: Like many others the ability to change your Legacy name, since although I liked mine when I picked it, I've since thought of a better one that I would love to use and keep. Although I do honestly expect that it will be a paid service brought in at some point during F2P (At least I hope so anyway.) And two: For them to find a way to allow more than one first name on a server although I have created a thread on that here so there's no need to repeat it here. Besides those though I love this game...hell I still have like 5 full classes to play through! Love it.
  11. I so want this feature, I switched from playing on the Red Eclipse server to The Progenitor and managed to recreate all my character's there and deleted all but my Jedi Sentinel because she's rich and I would love to mail it all over, plus to just delete all those credits....not to mention I have enough rubat crystals to get my Synthweaving all the way up to 100 without needing to farm Coruscant for them.
  12. I'm not speaking about the Legacy name here but First Names, I hope that you can find a way to allow for more than one of the same first name on a server given the limited number of servers now out there. And I say this because I just created a new character on my server and no lie it took me An hour and a half because each and every name I thought up and tried had already been taken and used on the server. This was bad enough for me, someone who's been in game since beta and pre-launch but I honestly don't know how the F2Pers are going stick around if they find themselves in the same situation, where they can't even play the game because they can't pick a name for their very first character! That's not exactly going to be a good first impression is it? During the hour and a half I spent I must have gone through somewhere between 50-100 names before I found one that wasn't taken and that includes using a Star Wars Name Generator to drum up some. I love this game and I do want it to succeed but despite whatever other issues players may have with this game, solely looking at it from a new players perspective that come in with F2P how will it be a success if they can't even get into and play the game because they can't pick a name because it's unavailable?
  13. Nihilus's mask is cool, personally I'm hoping for Revan's mask and robes that would be awesome.
  14. Well just created a new character, may I introduce you to at least the hottest character I've created in this game, Jedi Knight Starya Anasazi: http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/2477/staryaface.jpg
  15. Well everybody has pretty much said it but they aren't wrong if your having fun then stay, if not then go. I can understand not wanting to let your guild or your friends down but I'm sure they'll understand. The only person who can answer that question is you, it is your money after all. As for the content they've been releasing...well we know there's a full new planet coming, probably when F2P launches I would imagine as for what they have released trust me it's still better than the rubbish Cryptic have been releasing for STO over the last year so it could be worse.
  16. That sucks mate but not everyone is like that. I had a guy who wanted to do it too and he got it on the wnd or 3rd attempt, me I always used to jump off the pipe to the platform on the right and then jump over to the left platform where the datacron was, yet for some reason everytime I tried my toon wouldn't jump and would just run off the edge of the right platform. That combined with getting launched into the air and not landing on the pipe, it took about 5 or 6 attempts before I finally got it, now by that point the guy I was with could have easily given up and left, and to be fair I wouldn't have blamed him But he stuck around until I finally didn't suck at jumping so bad And we both thanked each other for helping out but sadly there are some morons out there who apparently don't have manners or a sense of decency *shrug*
  17. The thing I hate is that we know that they can change the Legacy name. Two instances we have that prove this: One, if it's an offensive name. And Two: The Server Transfers if someone else has already taken the Legacy name you have, it gets reset. And yet the only response we get is "We are working on it and it's a much demanded feature." and nothing else. They have the Q&A with the Dev's and yet I'm willing to be if a load of people ask in the next one about it, we'll get that same reply again. Cryptic do a similar thing with Star Trek Online too, but at least they usually explain what they're actually doing and why it might take a while to implement, sure it might be BS but at least it's something more that what I think is a "default" reply. Personally for me since we already know that they can do it and that change the Legacy name is possible, the question I would love to get answered is What is it that needs to be worked on since we know it can be done? And there are only two things I can think of and even then one of them is far more likely than the other. 1. That if there were to implement it their afraid that everybody would change their Legacy name at the same time with a load of people going for the same name and crashing the servers. 2. And this is the mostly likely one I think, that they're waiting for F2P to launch and that it will be something you will have to pay for with the new credits that will be introduced.
  18. Personally I look at it the way I look at every RPG nowadays. Developers assume that everybody wants to be the warrior class, so even though they add in the Mage and the Theif classes, they put most of their effort into the Warrior because that's what all of us apparently want to play, and since the Inquisitor and Consular are the Mages of the SW Universe they get the same treatment.
  19. I'll add my Trooper to this: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/2329/starya.jpg
  20. I'm sorry but having played STO for 2 years now and it sucked a long time before they went F2P with it and it's been getting worse since, not to mention Cryptic went a year and a half without releasing any new content, so as long as Bioware don't do the same thing and keep the releases coming they should be fine. Personally I love this game, I've been here through a few of the Beta's, pre-access and a Collector's Edition owner and I'm still here and love it as much as I did when I first started in the Beta. And for the haters saying that TOR going F2P will kill it I don't think so. Like I said STO has sucked for a long time now but when they went F2P with it, it brought in a hell of a lot of new players, some who pretty much came and went once they did the game and others who stayed around. Most MMO's die because either A: Lack of players and the company decided that it's not worth keeping the servers running for who is left eg: The Matrix Online. B: The Community dies and/or gets filled with the haters and the fans get fed up and leave and C: The Company starts making bad decisions like poor content and ignoring their fanbase and it's complaints (Like Cryptic/PW do with STO). Personally I think that going F2P will be a good thing for TOR although personally I'm still going to keep subscribing, hell I'm still asking for a lifetime subscription option! Besides if you want a perfect example of a game going F2P and it being a success I have one title for you: DC Universe Online. That game was struggling, it went F2P and it's paid off monumentally for Sony Online ever since, the players came, they stayed and it's still thriving to this day with great and regular content releases. So I think as long as Bioware handle it properly then I think TOR will do well.
  21. The planet is Taris I believe. And LOL on that chat up line
  22. I've got to agree if your still having fun, why let someone else's opinion affect yours. I've taken a few short breaks from TOR from time to time to the point that I've had the game since launch and the highest levelled character I have is a level 32 who's only just started Chapter 2 of the Sith Warrior story because I took a few two weeks breaks to play other games. Really the question is do you think it's still worth playing? And in the end only you can answer that, I say yes but I have a loooong way to go before I've done everything but even if I had as long as I was still enjoying it then I'd keep playing.
  23. I agree there was only one time I've done it since launch when they all dropped first time which is annoying since they're quest items.
  24. I sent this in to customer service who suggested I posted this here since it's not a bug per say but I feel that the drop rate for the Access Codes in this quest need to be looked at. In the quest you need to get 3 access cards to continue the mission the Primary Access Code from a Chief Warden, a Security Access Code from a Security Warden and a Subsystem Access Code from a Subsystem Warden, which is all well and good. The thing is I did this quest yesterday and got the Primary Code and the Security Code when I killed my first Chief and Secuirty Warden's, however when it came to the Subsystem Warden and his code, I had to fight and kill one of them 5 different times before the code dropped. When I did the mission on another character it was the Security Warden I had to kill multiple times before his code dropped. Now I understand random drops for regular items which is fair enough but when it comes to quest items surely they should be scripted to drop first time?
