  1. Since the new gear is a NiM drop they'll probably do the same thing they did with Kell Dragon...leave it there till the next HM ops get improved gear, then bump it down.
  2. I play a sorc healer in pvp. When I get focused by two dps who know what they're doing, I melt unless I have a guard and a healer on me. If I don't get focused I can keep my whole team alive indefinitely, and if a tank sits on my head and interrupts me every once in a while my healing output gets halved. It's not so much a l2p issue as it is an l2teamwork issue. Unranked warzones are as much a battle with RNG and getting your team to work together as they are against the opposing team. When the other team has five healers, it's hard...but then you know you'll never die because with only 3 dps (some of whom may be tanks) are gonna put zero pressure on your team...so now all you have to do is distract them long enough to cap the node, and they'll never take it back. I have capped nodes in the middle of a battle many times before...and had nodes capped on me, too. Distract people and you'll be amazing how effective tunnel vision can be.
  3. Dulfy has a fantastic guide, complete with area maps. A word of caution...it is a grind. I recommend you just leave a character logged in on Hoth and logging in every 1-2 hours to do another run. I averaged about 1 data per nest, 6 nests per run...so it's 3 runs to get the cheaper one
  4. Matchmaking died a slow and painful death, and it was replaced by a cadre of shaved monkeys. Being shaved, they are bitter, and choose to take it out on poor, innocent pvpers like yourself by matching. 4 dps vs 2 dps, a healer, and a tank of superior level. Or matching 1 heal 3 dps vs 3 heal 1 dps. Little things like that. ...that round lasted a while.
  5. The legacy vendors on Dromund Kaas are located in the central square of Kaas City, just north of where you turn off to get to the GTN, vendors, bank, trainers, etc. each class has it's own vendor, but for the purposes of transferring gear , any will do. Just make sure it says "bound to legacy" or "binds to legacy," and is a modable piece.
  6. Pretty much this. 0-3 hours weekdays (most nights around 2, some less and some more). If I have nothing to do saturday...8-12 hours, depending on what's going on in guild/how my weeklies are going. Sunday usually about 6. Subject to change if I have other things going on or if the wife doesn't have homework.
  7. ic. The PvE medpacks are still pretty decent, and the prototype ones give you a hot. I never use pvp medpacks out of wzs...actually I rarely use medpacks out of wzs.
  8. If he popped a medpack and his hp-boosting skill at the same time he could have appeared to jump from 1/4 health to 90%. Juggs have a skill that temporarily boosts their max hp by a considerable amount. EDIT: can you use wz medpacks out of warzones, but in pvp combat? Cause that's 35% of your hp right there
  9. It also helps if you play a class with an aoe knockback...so you can send a few mobs back down if you start to get overwhelmed.
  10. Every time I'm on Makeb I kill a few more nerfs, hoping for a hidden achieve with the title "nerf herder..."
  11. I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying the problem doesn't end with normal flashpoints. It goes on into hardmodes and ops at endgame. People power levelling with KDY is all well and good, but if you are new to mmos, you don't learn your role in a flashpoint without them... I, for one, generally try to obey the roles as much as I can, unless I am goofing off with guildies, in any flashpoint or operation I do.
  12. Incompetent/lazy dps has been a problem since the level cap raise...With the level 50 HM flashpoints being as easy for 55s to complete as they are, people develop bad habits that they take with them wherever. Just /ignore the ones who cause real problems and you're good. I was in a HM EV 8-man the other day, and no one in the group was taking it seriously. Don't get me wrong, it didn't end up mattering, we one-shot everything...but when the dps can stand in the lava on gharj and dps him far enough ahead that he starts shaking the next platform before he even walks up to it...doesn't build good habits. That being said, it can be very fun to goof off in the easy old instances, try new things, and good-naturedly grief friends/guildies, but I have found that a lot of people will bring the habits into the level 55 instances...which I personally can't stand.
  13. They haven't said anything explicit about rent yet, but from what I have seen my understanding is that it's a single purchase and then you're done.
  14. What I would like to see is basic trophies for completing the ops, and then boss drop trophies that are more intricate/different design for HM or NiM clears. Just my $0.02.
  15. I turn off all my healing companion's attacks, so they only use the basic attack, and only when their heals are on cooldown. I also turn off their 8-seconds of no healing me self-stun that I break anyways.
