  1. Cancelled because I am just bored to death with SWTOR - level 47 and I can't bring myself to even login and get to 50. The game combat is soo repititive, no sandbox features at all, crafting is utter crap, market is a nightmare to use, no customizable housing, not enough pvp maps etc...etc..etc Maybe in a year from now it will be better but by then the population will be too low to bother coming back. Shame... so much potential wsted yet again.
  2. Anyone that spends 3k on a pc doesn't have a clue what their doing and probably have a mess of a system clogged up with crap.
  3. Face of Mankind - BETA Possibly the single greatest sandbox experience in the history of gaming. Some people have no clue how good a sandb0ox game can be because they have never experienced a REAL sandbox environment.
  4. I am waiting on GW2 to, but to say it's doing anything NEW is a joke. There is nothing new in GW2 just old ideas rehashed and thats the problem with MMO market.
  5. Here for about the next month - getting bored now Lack of real customisable housing, Highly repetitive content, Lack of sandbox content of any kind *(yes I know they never said it would be sandbox) Dull, lifeless worlds that all feel the same. yawn yawn yawn every world. Just a bunch of little things that all add up to turn start to turn me off SWTOR. Another month logging in for a couple of days a week then I will leave SWTOR and hold out for GW2 - as much as I hate fantasy settings there is nothing else on it's way.
  6. Its very EASY. Look at the stats on your gear and you will instantly know how good it is and how it compares exactly with pve gear. There is no secret attribute that PVP gear has in SWTOR. If there is a stat you dont like on your pvp gear just change it for one you prefer. SWTOR is unusual in that the PVP gear is basically exactly the same stat system as PVE gear with minor differences that can be changed out if you wish. Some other games have entirely different stats on PVP gear. SWTOR has just slapped a PVP sticker on normal stat gear.
  7. Every company cares about keeping customers. The email is standard MMO company business. If they can find out why people leave they can address those issues and perhaps keep some more customers from leaving in the future. I would be more worried if they didn't ask why a player left. There really is no weird agenda or extra 'worries' here - its perfectly normal business practice.
  8. LOL - A ship has nothing to do with normal player housing. You cannot add items, trophies, customise it in any way, have neighbours or neighbourhoods etc etc
  9. Excellent idea! The space stations are a TOTAL waste of time and energy and this would give them a reason to exist! Love it!
  10. wrong wrong wrong. It's spelt Ewan BTW not Even. - He didn't change his accent at all, he grew in Perthshire and worked in Perth itself for a while - that's how we speak here, it's a softer slightly posher scottish accent. Not like you Glaswegian lowlifes.
  11. There are one or two geordies in the game on emperial side. Also strong yorkshire accent and a scouser. They did a great job and varied the regionalised accents quite a lot through the game.
  12. LOL why are you still here if you dont like the game - go away already - and NO you wont get the title because you haven't paid for any game time outside of the free time!
  13. This needs adressing because its a fundamental part of the game - and really there is no excuse for such basic schoolboy errors.
  14. ROFL - hilarious answer let's hope your either joking or a teenager, if not you have much to learn than just the surface 'facts' around you.
  15. Also if you continue in some directions you will break immersion - since orbital spacestation maps are actually built in the corner of the corresponding planet ground maps behind fake space backdrops. If you walk too far in one direction you would appear in space bakdrop next to an orbital spacestation for that planet
  16. This is a serious issue - I need to seriously think whether I will continue subbing after reading this tbh.
  17. Agree with OP - The new system is terrible and less efficient. I too have found myself looking at my action bars more than before and it's getting annoying and spoils my gameplay.
  18. A system which prevents people selecting Need unless their actual char can wear it is needed. Alts should be geared by quests and vendors not in instances.
  19. Well I dont agree with botter scum - BUT - to say its forbidden to go where you dont meet "level requirements" is the biggest bunch of BS I have EVER read regarding an MMO. If people agree with this policy they have NO RIGHT playing an mmo and should stick to single player games with no opportunity for exploration or risk/reward. Pathetic policy.
  20. I don't think this is as much of a problem as people think. Between content heavy patches say every 3 months - they can be recording dialogue at a rate of 1 a week or even 1 a fortnight and still have plenty of time to get it all done. It's not hard once the scripts are complete to book a days studio time and record all the dialogue in a single day. The producers of this type of content are well versed in getting this stuff done quickly and efficiently. And the best thing is that the voice content recording has no influence on the other areas of the content such as animation or cutscenes so it has no impact on the speed of completion.
  21. Efficiency is to do with wasted energy in the form of heat/sound due to poor components and poor design and has nothing to with watts it can deliver. A more efficient design will save you money - in that less electricity is wasted and more is available as power output for your system. Efficiency is great if you can afford it - as it means a cooler system, and cheaper electricity bills - but stability and efficiency are not related and should not be considered as the being the same thing. Although a more stable power supply is more likely to be more efficient due to higher quality design and components. (I am an electronic and electric design engineer)
  22. Yo numpty - it was a genuine question. GBTW <
  23. To save memory and loading times only certain textures that are actually in view are rendered in scenery, especially distant scenery out of reach of the player. e.g. You can see a cube shaped rock in the distance, the developers only actually create textures for the areas of the cube that you can actually see, the other areas of the cube which are not in line of sight ( i.e. the top, rear, sides) do not exist and have no textures and would appear invisible if you were able to hack the game and fly behind the cube to look at it. - This saves memory, processing power, time to develop, data size to leave these unecessary areas out of a game such as this. The problem comes when you want to do something like include flying mounts giving the player new lines of sight that were never allowed for, so as a dev you have to go back and ifll in all the blank areas that were originally left out. And as the old saying goes, its quicker to build something right the first time, than go back and fix problems later. It could take years to fill in missing texture areas and add physical attributes etc etc
