  1. Arguably, that should have sparked the war too, since no attempt was made to disguise it as a loophole to the Treaty of Coruscant like most actions up to Belsavis. It seems that neither side was ready for war back then, though.
  2. It seems that most stories at the end of Act 2/beginning of Act 3 start talking about the war without much explanation behind it. Only the Sith Warrior one is more or less involved with Plan Zero, but then again, it only says something about Darth Vengean and the fringe systems without being really clear about what exactly did happen and who declared the actual war. Anyone more knowledgeable than I care to fill the gap?
  3. That'd be the stupidiest thing they could do, but it's still not confirmed so I'm keeping my hopes up.
  4. I think the title already answered that. What makes Star Wars the big hit it is? The "Stars" and the "Wars" It'd be a forgotten indie film without those two elements.
  5. I have nothing against Pattinson himself, but the whining of the Star Wars purists would be so annoying that I'm against this casting.
  6. I remember when Chris Columbus was asked to direct the first Harry Potter films that everyone feared that the movie wouldn't be faithful to the book and such, just because his most famous movie had been Home Alone, which wasn't really the style of HP. I'll give this guy a chance. I liked both Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine and I bet that I will like this too.
  7. Disney'll probably look at whatever gives them the more money as a priority and only then care if it fits the current lore or not. The Old Republic just isn't as profitable as the Original, therefore, I wouldn't count on it. At least not right now, they might do a spinoff series about it, but the first movie they make surely won't be in that period, as much as you like it.
  8. Haven't seen them, sorry. But I know there's a "More played class" and "More played race" around here. Also, I'd say that humans are the most played for every class, except maybe IA, which might be Chiss, specially on RP servers.
  9. I think the story was pretty straight forward, with enough twists and enough action to keep me interested through it. But what really sold it were the developed characters, specially the antagonists in Chapter 2 and 3. Pretty much every storyline with a good and defined antagonist (Chapter 1 of the smuggler comes as a prime example) was above average, while the ones that didn't build up emotions towards them (Chapter 1 of the consular) didn't. I don't see it as the more original of all the class stories, but it didn't need to to make me enjoy it.
  10. Hamill is also fat, by the way. I think the only one in relative good shape is Ford, and maybe Fisher.
  11. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/11/02/star-wars-sequels-timothy-zahn/ Just thought of throwing this out here, since I didn't see a thread already dedicated to it.
  12. Hoth, it's incredibly big for the amount of quests there are. Besides, it's lack of a cohesive story bothers me.
  13. Depends on your definition of fan. It'd be hard to actually set a number, but I'd say that a maximum of 20% of the people who liked the Star Wars movies must have followed the post RoTJ EU.
  14. And there goes most the hope for a Thrawn movie. Still, that isn't official so...
  15. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I don't really care if they overwrite the EU (I'm guessing the Wookieepedia guys will, though) but only if they do something better than it, and really, does anyone think they will?
  16. The mechanics itself are pretty similar. There is slightly more variety and a decently coherent storyline in some planets but the differences are not that big, you still jump around outposts doing quests for whatever General/Ambassador you stumble upon The whole story/diplomatic quests are located mostly on Coruscant and some on Tython, by the way. Don't bother looking for them in other republic planets, save for some exceptions (I'm thinking Voss, maybe?)
  17. Am I the only one that 3 out of 5 times has a decent experience with PUGs, 1 out of 5 turn out to be great time because of people being social and friendly and actually knowing what to do and just one that sucks? After reading this, I feel that I'm either very lucky or people complain way too much.
  18. This is all my personal opinion, except for C: A) Fun gameplay wise: -Gunslinger -Shadow -Commando (Tried a mercenary, found it too repetitive after a while. Mind you, I only played the equivalent to Gunnery, can't say anything about the other DPS tree) B) Complex class: -Shadow (Tanking is more complex than DPS, after all) -Gunslinger -Commando (As said before, it's quite repetitive) C) Best class story (as based on the community rating here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=234722): -Gunslinger -Commando -Shadow Also, if what you're looking for is a fun story, then the smuggler is way ahead of the others. D) Most fun in PvP Can't really say because I didn't really PvP much in my gunslinger and shadow. I did hear that Gunslinger is quite fun as a saboteur, though. Hope that helps. PS: If you're trying a healer next, I recommend the scoundrel or operative if you want to go imperial. Not because it is the best healer (I don't know if it is, actually), but because the story is generally regarded as better than the Consular's.
  19. If you're looking for a better story, the warrior holds a better ranking at that among the community, as seen here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=234722 I agree with it, too.
  20. Since the rise of Palpatine as emperor to the early New Republic era. So pretty much everything involving the movies' Empire and it's Remnant.
  21. Torian and Risha are far younger than I'd have imagined. I think the reason Quinn is so old is because he was involved in a battle in the Great War and thus they had to adjust to that fact when they set his age.
  22. I'll give it a 7 because of the potential of what could've been and it was and is right now, not comparing it to others.
