In all fairness the ESO login rewards are crap too. Mostly drinks and chickens etc with an odd scroll. In a blue moon we'd get a companion or once we got that large amount of gold. For the most part though they are just plain crap..

At this point I couldn't care less if they put in a Conjurer and a Mariachi band to save subs. I can see the way this game is going and the ongoing silence from the devs makes it worse. This game will be ****-up before the end of the year and believe me, it hurts like a mutha to say that.

This pretty much. I have never seen such a tight lipped community team. I mean they don't even reply to any posts with even a joke or witty reply. It really fosters that `holier than thou`attitude that everyone hates so much. Honestly, after seeing end game and the lack of communication here, I hope the damn game tanks!... well, it looks like its going to anyways.

^^ Won't be paying that one if that's the case. If it could handle 100 people on screen together and perform then yeah, but after seeing this they can jam it unless it's optimized to all Hell.

I will look at the engine more carefully when I look at MMO's from here on in. If an MMO has the hero engine I doubt I'd play it after seeing first hand what it cannot handle. Single player games might be ok, or games that don't have more than a handful of folks on screen at one time but never again with an MMO.

The real shame lies in the fact that BW would need a lot more than this section of the demographic to keep the game alive. Might have misjudged the market there a tad eh?

Yes, regularly get a Templars email update and been watching it all carefully. Will be interesting as they are breaking the mould some and trying something new.

For a while I thought I had mmo burnout I really did. Funny thing is that I can go play other games for hours on end with no problem. I thought hard on this and then logged back into TOR quite a number of times. Always the same result, logged out because there was absolutely nothing that I wanted to do. Never had this happen before and I can log into wow or eq2 and amuse myself for hours on end. I know they are older games and have more content etc so i decided to roll a new toon from scratch on both and see if it was leveling burnout. Well, I have a conjuror in eq2 at 65 and a magee in wow at 53 and look forward to playing them both each time I log in. I just didn't get what it was with his game that made it all so unbearable and then it hit me...... choices. Plain and simple choices. With the other games I had the ability to go quest someplace else if I felt the urge and the things that I looted or collected added more depth and options for sales, crafting and overall immersion. With TOR I am being thrown down a water slide with no off ramp to anywhere else. That has killed it for me. No options other than alts. Nice attempt though Bioware and my hat tips to you guys it really does.

Or maybe buy a game engine that you can hotfix instead of shutting everything down and pissing everyone off maybe? I swear the older this game gets the more apparent the useless engine becomes...

3 to 6 months? The trouble with that is that there will be nobody around to read it or care, the CEO will be under the Bus well and truly by then and the Star Wars fans will be left in the dirt.
