  1. The latest game update is downloaded, but when i press start, nothing happens. The game doesn't start.
  2. i found out it was a glitch when the installer is messed up.
  3. it's still just sitting there at 99.8 so i'm subscribed, and waiting on .2 percent to be able to play any of my characters.
  4. 99.8 on Download for over an hour. Whats up with that? .2 percent is taking forever.
  5. Why are my pants missing from characters, and i can't seem to get past 99.8 download.
  6. Why are some of my characters missing pants, and other items of armor? I too have been gone for about 3 years.
  7. A Great character made great by the Character of the personage name Carrie Fisher. She battled her own dark side, and did many things outside of the role that made her legendary. A true real life Princess of Hollywood. She had strength, and weakness, as all truly great Heroes do. I grew up with Star Wars, and she was the first real Woman character who had everything a hero should have. I will remember her not for just Princess Leia, but all the other characters she played. Great and small, they represent a person with her own character. As with all truly great people in this world, her passing leaves us all a bit lessened, but also enlightened.
  8. Epic huge cool PAIN IN THE BACKSIDE BATTLE WITH VAYLIN'S SPIRIT. My game froze, when i was winning the battle.... My computer has NEVER frozen in TOR. I really liked this new update, until this crap battle.
  9. All the different threads and the general upset tone of a majority of these posts tell me that you should NOT do this. Stop and rethink this. Shouldn't you add content and fix bugs, before you re - introduce a past failure? Example of a bug needing fixing is my dual sword wielding guys, now have a sword crossing their shoulder blades, for last month. An example of new content is to add more OPS, or routinely change them, to add challenge to them. We need as a MMORPG, at least a new OP a year, if not 2, to keep things challenging. Redo the Older OPs, expand some of the better flashpoints into OPs. Can it it be that hard? Probably easier than redoing the whole system. Maybe get rid of separate PVP gear, and just make PVP skill based. Like being able to work together to defeat others, rather than just another thing to grind. Reward amount of play with ranks which grant extra attacks ect. Maybe instead of making things simpler, by reinventing the wheel, make it harder, so that people enjoy the challenge. Earning something is its own reward. Lastly, add stuff to make people like the game because they have a purpose, not just because of change sake. For example, conquests weren't taken far enough, we should have had a ranking system for everyone to view in the player menu, to show what guilds are doing well, and what players, then add bonuses to those guilds and players. This would include ALL aspects of the game. PVP, Space, Boss Kills, Achievements, ect. The main part would be to encourage a guild to do well in all aspects, and encourage competition and sense of belonging and guildie togetherness. Just changing things to change things for that sake, is just foolishness, if your goal is more paying customers. You will get them, if you build a better product, not a shoddier one.
  10. he doesn't know that all the companions go away. but to be fair, he is right. The story should matter, and if someone betrayed a sith, then that person would most likely die, or a target of a bh, would be eventually caught.
  11. When i put up my swords, they used to go on my back in an orderly X configuration, now one is turned side ways. What is the deal here? Looks like crap.
  12. 1) Build a Guild. 2) Lead Ops groups 3) Teach newbies 4) Troll 5) Flag up and kill random enemy players. 6) Do all the achievements. 7) Start from scratch on another server ( amazing how much you rely on all your stuff on a server) 8) Try starfighter, and realize that you miss SWG space. 9) Relentlessly try to change stuff on forums regarding the game...
  13. It had exactly the opposite effect in SWG. But then again, different time,Different Generation. Currently this generation of people, who feel Entitled and everyone gets to be a winner, with no consequences, would probably not like it. In most MMO's pve and pvp players are very different and often do not do the other. Most pvper's would like this idea. Only the part time pvper - pve'er would be opposed to it. The pure pve player wouldn't care. If you don't make the kill, you don't get on a bounty terminal.
  14. This is probably not doable. It may be built into the Game Engine, but we need 2 more body types. Tall, but thin, think Bowdar. Short but strong/stocky. The small male body type is just not normal. I say this because they would me more identifiable to the players. For example, my nephew is a tall thin guy, and i'm closer to the short / stocky type. For female players, the number one body type is ok, but the male looks like he needs some food, and quickly. lol. A few more Head styles would be good also. Less restrictions on other races, like human hair styles on races that currently don't have them, or facial hair on cyborgs, ect. A couple of more iconic Races added to play as. Wookie, Jawa, and maybe one from the game, like the 2 races on Voss.
  15. Too many one man guilds delute the whole idea of guilds, you want people to seek a guild. We should be promoting Social interactions in a MMORPG, not discouraging it. XP drives the move from guilds, If you make Guilds, the only place to get Faster XP, then you will have bigger stronger guilds, and less soloable gaming in an MMORPG. If they want to play a game solo, there millions of solo play games out there.
  16. in SWG, if you don't like being on bounty terminals, you don't pvp, or at least do the killing blow. Actions should have consequences.
  17. a debuff is a great idea or a special color for his name tag over his head. Maybe Pink.... WZ comms should get reduced to zero gain, even if he is in a winning match, after leaving 2 WZs in a row, or in a given time period. Acheivement Note should be "Wet his/her pants" The his or her depending upon the sex of toon. There are legitimate reasons to leave, but if it happens twice, you should get some sort of negative. Maybe no XP/ WZ comms / Mission cash reward, after 3 in a 30 min time period.
  18. We need a Player Bounty System. If you PVP, you get put on a Bounty Board, accessed any class. It couldn't be just a bounty hunter class, as there isn't a BH on rep side. Plus, non bh's would complain. So, Anyone who actually makes the final killing attack on an enemy PVP player gets put on the Board, then a person, can accept the bounty. Only 2 max players can accept the same bounty. If they want to cooperate to kill the player, then they can. Targeted player gets a message, that he is being hunted. The Player(s) with the Bounty mission, get the first shot, after that, both parties are Aggroed. One last warning to Targeted player is the aggro EYE symbol. If the targeted player dies, then a Reward based on the kills that player has had since any previous bounty on him, goes to the Bounty holder. If the Bounty Holder, dies, Then HE is put on the Bounty Boards. Failure has a price. Cross faction Bounties can obviously be harder, as there are fewer planets in which you can attack the other faction. Make the Bounty Holder be able to go anywhere, that the other faction player can, as long as he is actively hunting. Make all bounties 24 hour length, if uncollected by that time, it is removed as that players mission. Have a ranking system, so people can see who is the best at bounty hunting. This system worked in SWG, and should be able to be added easily.
  19. We need a better way to get new guildies into guilds. Right now, you post on forum well hidden, then do recruiting spam in starter planets and the fleet, or gain players thru a guild's good reputation. We need improvements and game changing reasons to join a guild. Alot of people feel they don't need a guild, and they cite many good reasons as to why. 1) A Guild Terminal at the Fleets, that allow you to look at guild stats, and allow the player to submit an application, that can be approved by a Guild master or Officers of that guild, without either party being on, at the time of acceptance to guild. 2) Remove XP bonuses, except for Guild XP Bonus. Remove the XP packs basically, and remove all non guild related xp bonuses in the game, such as the character perks and those packs. 3) Make Leveling hard again. When the game first came out, you needed help, and you HAD to do side missions, and guildies helping you on some quests. Now you can power thru it, easy. You can even get your Nico companion reward at level 1, and have a companion from the begining. The current state prevents Guilds from having any real consequence to the average player. 4) Add a Point system that gives rewards to guilds for doing everything in the game. NOT CONQUEST RELATED. These rewards would encourage bigger guilds, who help each other, rather than make guilds slave people to a specific goal. Everything gives points, the bigger and more active the guild, the more those guildies get. Quick travel Bonuses, Lower Vendor Costs, Insta travel to any guildie's location, ect. Most of all, a Ranking System, that clearly shows the top guild by it's MERITS, not how well it can do just one thing well. 5) MOTD needs more Characters to get a better message to the Guild Population. A tweet size MOTD is not enough room to give information. 6) add a Guild Email broadcast to the GM, and anyone he designates to send them. This would allow a better way to communicate to the guild than the MOTD. There is more, but i think that would be enough to make guilds important again.
  20. POD RACER.... Yeah, i'd be up for that, as long as you can upgrade, and have crafted tweaks.
  21. The game as the OP stated is dying. Simple math. When game was at it's peak, there were literally 30 plus servers. Now look at the number. 8 in the US. Rarely are they into Heavy, even Harbinger. They spike when a star wars event happens, like a movie, or some trailers, ect. The end is not near however, as MMO's rarely die quickly. A long slow death. Like SWG lasted 8 years, the last 2 being awesome, but only a few servers going strong at the end. I was on Starsider, my guild, ATW, being Top Guild enough, for GM's to throw an event at our guild city on last night of SWG. We have at least another year or 2 left. There has been too much money spent for them to give up so soon.
  22. I have always subbed in MMO's since SWG, to TOR. PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION IF YOU WANT FULL CONTENT. Stop Complaining.
