  1. A Clockwork Orange Blade Runner Sunshine Twelve Monkeys Children of Men The Matrix Thomas in Love The Place Promised in our Early Days Star Wars Episodes IV and V Cowboy Bebop: The Movie Metropolis (Fritz Lang) eXitenZ The Fountain
  2. Never really understood the fixation with lore regarding vanity items. Video games break lore rules all the time. Would Jedi really fight in Huttball? Why can I come back from the dead so often? Why do I get an instant personal transport? Why does KOTOR have multiple endings? Etc. Welcome to MMOs and video games and media in general. We have a Star Wars Kinect dancing game. We have an entire EU that's going to get wiped into an alternate universe once Episodes VII-IX release. In a video game, the story is the lore. Just about everything else serves either a gameplay mechanics role (which often doesn't fit into a "story" perfectly, like the death mechanic) or a perfunctory role. I think the Sarlacc is kind of neat.
  3. "Gear: Undergeared" Lowbie bracket bolster. Don't think it's really possible to be undergeared in lowbies. Unless naked.
  4. The idea of bolster is good. The fact that I spent all my Planetary Coms on Makeb stuff for my level 52 GS, only to find that I had 4k less HP and 150 less damage in WZs from before having Makeb stuff, is not. The way it reads and rewards/penalizes certain gear is still hopelessly bad.
  5. It's bad. Real bad. My first attack on my Gunslinger did 7.2k and at first I was like "oh sweet." A half second later, when I saw everyone is hitting for insane numbers and we're just dropping like flies, there was no more positive feeling. Damage has way outscaled HP. It's pretty ridiculous. It's not even fun because there's no challenge or planning involved now.
  6. Yeah, that was a weird match! (Xiang here). We realized after awhile that you guys weren't capping mid and had us beat, but we hoped once you pushed for east, too, that maybe you'd be spread out thin enough or something. We knew we couldn't compete with the healing at all, as much as we tried to gather up the troops and focus fire as much as possible.
  7. I chose Zash. Khem was just too one-sided as a character and lacking meaningful development for me, Zash had some nuance to her, and I felt like my character would choose a Sith anyways, even if she had tried to kill me. And yes, Zash now talks whenever I click on Khem's body or a comment is made.
  8. Eh, coming from a server where the PvP faction balance is notoriously bad (guilds talk constantly about it), I can't really complain. It would take me 9 games on one faction what would take 4 on another to get the three wins. And I think it started to become a situation where even as minimal as rewards differ from losing to winning, the constantly winning faction probably was much quicker to get newbies in the level 50 bracket geared up.
  9. So many to choose! Kaliyo: Awesome, chaotic gal with funny lines. She asked a dude to lick her feet, at one point. And her fight the powah attitude is nice. She also shows character development over the course of her story, something that not everyone does. Jaesa (DS): Because she's legitimately psycho as dark side, and confused sleeping with and killing a guy. Elara Dorne: I'm not a fan of regimental standards, but her sort of stubborness to it all is funny and makes for awkward moments. Mako: Because she's sort of nerdy and nerds are cool, duh. Bowdaar: Funny guy. Chases Corso around and likes climbing trees during...er... moments. Akaavi Spar: She's fierce and a lone-rider. And pretty crazy. Scorpio: Feels like an homage to HK-47 at times. Broomark: Feels like a totally crazed Hoth resident. And his head looks cuddly, lol.
  10. Everyone wants a more alive and larger planet, but there are so many difficulties. The planetary zones, particularly late game (Hoth, Belsavis, Correlia, etc.) are very, very large. Like, some of those could have practically been entire MMOs not too long ago. To render more 'full' planets would mean some really long travel times, and an an even more massive, massive budget that we would be paying for right now. Have more travelling/spacing on planet? Ok, but that still doesn't address the travel question. Nobody wants to have to take a shuttle everytime they go anywhere on a planet.
  11. Both KOTOR games are the standouts to me, as good as TOR is. But choosing a favourite KOTOR game is darn near impossible. I guess in a gun-to-my-head scenario I would pick number two. Obsidian has always been good at making more distinct, and less cookie-cutter scenarios than other developers. It's too bad they became a victim of LucasArts meddling, because their darker, more nuanced take wass very good. Again, both KOTOR games are great, and I have replayed each of them. But I guess, for purposes of choosing one, I'll pick number two. It put a little more life into the Star Wars universe.
  12. I'd favourite that post if I could, I'm laughing at work now, thanks.
  13. Like everyone, I'd love to see KOTOR 3, but seeing as how Bioware has said that TOR is KOTOR 3, 4, 5, etc., I don't think that's happening. At least TOR itself is very fun. I'd love to see an HD remake of KOTOR 1 & 2, if for nothing else than they're both kind of tricky to get on Windows 7 and Vista at times. I'd like to see a Battlefront 3. I wouldn't mind seeing a new Star Wars RTS. And finally, I'd love to see a big budget action-RPG where the underworld of Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa truly comes alive. A game on the lowest levels of Coruscant could be fascinating.
