  1. Judging by how few people are complaining, it mustn't be happening to everyone. Not that the forums are "the word" by any means. I just began the download @ 1:20 pm CST and I am already @ 150mb remaining. Speed is between 1250-1275Kb/sec. So yeah, I am not having this problem. Service provider? You can have fast internet but it does fluctuate. Maybe they are working on lines in your areas? I could only guess, try it again.
  2. I have never used xfire myself. Not saying that the information is inaccurate or anything here. How good of an indicator is this for a particular mmo? It would require that a good percentage of SWTOR players are using xfire. Interested in hearing more about something I know very little of.
  3. No sea of text here or any revelations to present to you. I do space missions at level 50 only for the Fleet Comms so I can get level 7 & 8 crafting boxes at the pilot vendor. The missions are just so very boring and easy now that I know everything that is going to happen. Ugh, it's just so very dull. At least I can do them when I am not 100% awake but at the risk of falling asleep!
  4. I personally do not like them on the fleet. With that being said, I wouldn't want to see just the large ones removed from fleet. It wouldn't be fair to ditch the goofy big ones and only leave the smaller ones. Some goofballs clearly have too much time on their hands and purposely block and dance like rabid squirrels in theirs giving visual annoyance. Yes it is possible to check mail, GTN, banks and the like when they are blocked. That isn't the issue or the answer on how to the solution to it. So. I would like to see all vehicles removed from the fleet then. It really doesn't take that much time to hoof it around there. We had to do it initially and it wasn't much of an issue when I started.
  5. Oh yeah! I have been in that situation as many here have. Many more that don't visit the forums as well! It does suck and kharma's a *****!
  6. Yes, definitely! There has to be a way to implement this.
  7. Since there can be so many schematics us crafters need to learn, I would like this request that seems simple. When a known schematic is in my inventory, it's greyed out. Giving me an instant heads up it's not something I need. Why won't this work on the GTN while browsing schematics for sale? I have recently transferred to a busy server and going through over 100 pages, filtering, searching it just get's tedious. Seeing the schematics I already know greyed out on the list would allow me to zero in on the ones I still need much faster. It's not lazy in my view, just would be a nice tweak. 'bugss~
  8. Instead of sending grief someones way over the spelling of performance, I chose to understand what it is that they were referring to. It was close enough to get it. Yes, I have seen a boost. Without any tweaking on my end, I have seen a more fluid and stutter-free experience in my travels. I wasn't having a big problem prior but it has definitely improved on my end. My bottleneck would be my older ATi 4850, but it is nice to see it's gonna stay in the race until I decide on my GPU upgrade!
  9. Yes! A guild bulletin board sure would be great. Getting the word out for my guild has been an effort in futility. Others suggest a guild website or even FB page. I have had very little success with those as being the source of guild information let alone getting them to regularly visiting the site(s) for current information. MOTD is just a cute little thing to say short things with.
  10. OK, this is one thing that is something I wish I could turn off. Heck, even send him off to polish the booster pipes to keep him busy. I know he is working so hard to keep me happy but to tell me every time I board my ship is a bit excessive. BTW, this isn't game breaking for those that want to assume. Minor annoyance. Heck, say something else beyond what I have been hearing or nothing at all!
  11. If someone were to read these forums to get an understanding of this game, they would think it's horribly broken and laden with bugs. It's funny how the people that hate this game continually post about how everything is messed up and cannot believe that anyone would like this the way it is. I think they play just to find out what doesn't work and gripe about it and press the issue that it's game breaking and useless to continue. Do these people act like this in public? I doubt this. You get behind the keys and just take on this persona of an individual that matters above all reality and think that what's in their minds must be the norm of all that are here. I chose to play and spend more time in game than here whining about how I was promised some golden ticket to nirvana in an mmo. I remember the summer of '78 after Star Wars was released and my uncle told me I have to see it. I asked, " what's it about?" and he told me it was a war, and it's out there in the stars! Lol, simple but it got me. If you told me back then not only was there gonna be games on a computer in your home like this yet alone playing with other real people my head would have burst! The thing is, those that really like what is going on are playing. Not posting about how much it sux ballz. Now, back to the game...
  12. Yes a guild website is nice to have but to use it as a means of communication to the guild is quite slow and ineffective. Guild mail is important and I feel the pain of the poster. We need guild mail for information and general contact with the guildies.
  13. Oldbugss here from RED Team guild. Still leading the guild and having a great time here on the Vornskr server! We qualified for the guild launch so there wasn't a choice.
  14. MOTD is just silly to suggest. The extreme character limit and the fact that if more that one thing might be in the works or information needs to be spread would easily exceed this limit. Yes a guild site works but nothing beats an in game mailing system. I just tried to email all of my guildies individually with a guild announcement that I typed and copied. When sending the 2nd email, pasting this message into the new email the error comes up that it can't be sent for "an unknown reason" lol, how can I deal with that? Guild email, want it sooner than later. Doesn't seem to be a large request.
