  1. Setting AA off in-game and using 'override application settings' from radeon software (game profile) gave me a big fps boost. FYI
  2. So i decided to come back for running some mm FPs (after a small break).. and in some groups ppl keep dieing against my best effort. Got 320ish gear right now, and i feel i just cant keep up with the dmg in certain situations. Many times i dont even have time for pop a single Consuming Darkness because some group memeber drops low in a blink. I remember 1 patch before the "Resurgence + Roaming Mend" was a kind of jolly joker combo, i could top up the group very quick.. now the numbers overall seems kinda low. Also as i know there is not a very significant stat diff between 320 and the engame'ish gear you can obtain from running FPs (326 maybe..). Im not saying its horrible or unmanageable right now, most cases its kinda' ok to keep up a group... but sometimes not matter how hard i smash the buttons, they just die
  3. you do it quite often, just as 'uneffective' when you dont move the camera at all when you take cover most times.. is there any purpose of that? And why the so many mouse click ability usage? really bad habit btw next time pls cut off the purewater scenes request strike inc.: what pvp vid i would like to see is an 1v1 situation against a well geared pyro powertech (as MM snip ofc), those are very nasty..
  4. nice thread.. after a few hundred WZs with sniper i get a stroke and rerolled BH. you can post a million times, devs wouldnt admit how fcked up the sniper AC is (at least its mediocre compared to other DSPers). Patching out all those problems you (and other ppl in different threads) mentioned takes a very looooooong time in mmo development, which for i dont have the patients to wait.

  6. forget expl. probe, its too expensive compared to dmg output (except if youre on engi spec). use SoS channeling for energy regen

I measured my pve dps with sniper (1800+ cunning / 40%+crit / 85%+crit bonus from surge) on the first world boss on Dromund Kass, by using only dmging abilities in a rotation, i was about 75k dmg <+/-10%> / min (MM spec). Mercenary is way better by any means, if there are more in your ops group, they even boost up each others dps, so they shoot 4-5k crits almost continuously with quick cast time abilities. So ye, sniper isnt the best dps in pve, nor in pvp in my opinion.
  8. how you managed to measure that? in EV (at the event with the many mob types just before SOA), me (as sniper) and a guildmate with a mercenary character had a competition bursting down the 100k+HP mobs fast as possible, and sadly he won every time by rotating no more than 3 abilities while i was nukeing like crazy batsht with all i got (and yes, i managed energy, no 'rifle shot' based tactix involved).
  9. Merc. is better in PvE dmg, pick that one instead if pvedps is your priority

There are dozens of options dev team could choose from, besides keeping cover system as it is now: - put an 'instant cover' feature to MM tree (or semewhere) - make cover position to buff (speed up, power up.. ect) abilities instead of making them unavailable out of cover other to make noticeable DPS compared to some rocket spammer junky ppl. - add a heal debuff - an absorb shield 'breaker' ability - move 'Slip away' skill from lethality to MM - a better armor reducing skill ('Shatter shot' is a joke compared to merc. armor debuffing capability) * make some extra buff slots for 'Snap Shot' / 'Sniper Volley' / 'Reactive Shot' skills, many situations these just dont activate at the time they should, guess because there are no more free buff slots on your character (next to stim / class buffs ... ect) .. and so on
  11. sorc is not stationary Good to know that Actually its longer, and 'critting' 3-5k to ppl over 2-4 sec with ~15-21k HP is near to nothing in my terms as a 'glasscannon dps' introduced class.. you can do this as a merc easily in heavy armoring. Its more than 2 sec, and its more like 'out of range' than 'nuking' most times sadly And its Kkthxbye! without any offense

Not only that, but as a Scoundrel / Opearive character in champion gear (its about a week to get that, serious business) i can pump out even better burst with INSTANT abilities, and if im in trouble, i just vanish in the thin air or activate 100% dodge for the time i kill my opponent, no panic situations ever. Fair play, really.
