  1. Kit Fisto approves of this message. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070310153928/starwars/images/8/8f/Kit_Smile.jpg
  2. I would like this too. I have the Battlelord armor and that's nice. But, until we get a /hood option, would much prefer a hood down armor.
  3. I think I might go with the tried and true http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6092/trooperhelmet.jpg Trooper Helmet for the bulkier (no electrobinoculars) look. Maybe a different, bulkier belt. But, otherwise, this is what I've been begging for since beta! Glad we finally got it!
  4. Please, add my voice to the choir of those that want this. My wallet would fear the day this armor is released.
  5. Hi! I would love to get a hold of the Compact Sniper Rifle, in it's collapsed form, as a Blaster Rifle. (Like you see it in it's stowed position on the character's back). OR, like as it's shown in this pic: http://xtreme-hobby.com/images/tor_pics/compact_blaster.jpg Thanks!
  6. It is getting a little out of hand. Sielle from a SWTOR Reddit Feed suggested this: Make the ignore list account wide, not per character. Reporting someone for spam automatically adds them to your ignore list (you can then remove them manually if you really want). These seem like very doable solutions wiithout adding too much inconvenience to the regular gaming public. On a personal note, I got fed up with one of the spammers and went to their website. Imagine my malicious joy when I got one of their customer service people on their online help chat. hehehehe Oh the profanity laced tirade this guy got before he put me on ignore.
  7. I'll add my voice to this by saying, I would buy a LOT of Hypercrates of whatever Cartel Market Pack has the armor set that looks like this: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/swfanon/images/e/e8/TD-135_Commando_Armor.png/revision/latest?cb=20140410225648 Not just myself, but for my other Trooper buddies so we can parade around the fleet in character. Please do consider adding this armor set.
  8. Hey Everyone! I’m Mike and my Gaming Crew and I are going to be participating in this year’s Extra Life National Games Day for the Children’s Miracle Network on October 25th, 2014. We intend to game our butts off for the full 24 hours, tearing through pixelated baddies for the duration. Our plan of attack is to break up the day with two and a half hour gaming sets with a fifteen minute potty break in between. Star Wars: The Old Republic will finish the day strong (because we wanted to end on a high note!) from 6:00am (PST) to 8:00am (PST). You can visit our Extra Life Team page by bookmarking http://www.extra-life.org/team/havoc4kids. I will also be broadcasting the entire day on my Twitch channel, so also bookmark http://www.twitch.tv/cmikehardy. We’re hoping to pull in some nice cash for the kids, so if you feel like donating to the cause, please feel free to donate to my team or to any of my teammates. If you can’t, no worries, please tune in on 10/25/14 from 6:00 to 8:00 to cheer us on as we make the Galaxy Bend to the Will of the DARK SIDE! See you there!
  9. I'm totally looking forward to the Catha... err I mean Charr.
  10. Make good on your promise to: "With the inclusion of Adaptive Gear in Game Update 1.3: Allies, you and your friends will be able to wear any social item in the game, and add augments to let you use it in the most perilous battles." By allowing us to transfer ALL set bonuses, regardless of level, to Orange and Adaptive Quality Gear. Or just give us an appearance tab.
  11. Paid subscriber since launch, pre-ordered and participated in beta. Can I haz mah cookie? :-D Still, I’m very disappointed with this move, for a couple of reasons. F2P, didn’t help STO all that much. Sure, they make scads of money of them cheesey lockbox crap, but as for content- they out and out said they don’t want to do any more Featured Episodes (i.e. CONTENT) because they say people will play it only once or twice. Instead, they push out C-Store item after C-Store Item, a grindy Fleet system, with like three hashed together mission, and lockboxes a-go-go and they call that content. EQ2 goes F2P and what content do you have? Qeynos, half built and a fancy suit of armor you have to buy. This is what I see happening with TOR. Oh sure, they’ll push out this new stuff- the fresh new WZ, HK-51, whatever. Then, it’ll stop. You get a few half-hearted attempts at content, maybe a Flashpoint with a few bosses, nothing you won’t be able to faceroll in 15minutes or so. You’ll get a crap load of new cashy money items for you to buy. There’s your new content. But, what I’m most disappointed over? How much developer resources when into this F2P transition? And, tell me, wouldn’t those resources be better served in actually adding/fixing game content and adding stuff people wanted? Maybe actually listening to, and acting on, the feedback? Whatever happened to “If you build it- They will come?” I swear to you, if STO actually gave a bantha’s *** about what the players wanted- complete Klingon content, solid end game content, fulfilling PvP. Then they would never have had to go F2P, they’d be a solid contender. Simply because it’s FREAKING STAR TREK. Same here. How long was Ilum broke for you folks? PvP? End game content? When I beta’ed we all started out as level 1 n00bs. Great, did we even beta test the end game? I’m still hearing that some hardmodes are overtuned., some impossible because of bugs. If you present a solid game, instead of what many folks (I’m starting to grudgingly believe) say is a released beta test- you would have been the WoW killer that some hyped. Simply because it’s FREAKING STAR WARS. Now it’s FREAKING F2P. The rule in F2P is: If you're not paying for something, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold. And, it didn’t need to be this way
  12. The game is worth every penny I pay and then some. I liked the Update 1.2 improvements and I'm looking forward to 1.3 and what's recently been revealed for the game at E3. Customer service has been quick to respond to my trouble tickets. I have no lag issues. I have plenty to do because I'm taking my time in doing it. I love the class stories. I think the voice overs are addicting (to where I can't play EQ2 anymore because it doesn't have it. LOL). I play the game a couple hours a day pretty regularly and I'll be playing this game when they finally shut the lights out on it. Cheers!
  13. A very exciting announcement. I can't wait to roll a Cathar! The new planet and increased level cap is gonna be cool too. I've been leveling slow so far anyway, so it's not such a grind for me to get there.
  14. I really don't agree either. You would shore up any shortcomings in mods/armorings/enhancements by consulting your friendly neighborhood Cybertech.
  15. So, I rolled an Imperial Agent and I'm trying to decide if I'd like to go Sniper or Operative. My friend says Operative, but then Sniper has a certain appeal to me. There's a certain finality in having to choose, yet never getting a second chance to redecide, without having even played the Advanced Class. I mean, I roll this Sniper, or Commando, or Sentinel, what have you, and realize that the AC doesn't fit your playstyle. Sure, re-rolling into the other AC is merely a few hours more on the starting planet... but by golly, after having a BH, having to do Hutta for yet another and another, and another time............. *stabs eyes with a fork* Wouldn't it be cool to have an Advanced Class Simulator? Sort of like a minigame where you simply play a solo instance with a moderately geared AC toon of your choice with accompanying companions to select and play with. Offer up enough skill points to allow the player to experience the bredth of the Advanced Class to see for his/herself whether that AC feel right. Could also be used as a cool demo game, I suppose. But ultimately, it give players a good taste of how an Advanced Class plays to make the time/credits/effort investment more worthwhile. Or, as an alternative to a complete reclass mechanism that might be hard to implement. Cheers!
  16. This is a great idea... in moderation, as has been explained by other in this thread. As long as people can't go Barnum & Bailey all over the place and break the immesion for folks, this can be a great way to augment the unify colors appearace functionality. I personally would love to see a Main Color/ Secondary Color (or highlight) palette dye set that can be crafted or sold for commendations. Maybe some color sets, like Urban/Jungle/Desert/Tundra camo schemes. That would make me happy. Cheers!
  17. Ship Droid heals. :-P To the OP- Quinn and I have a Bromance going on right now. This guy is pretty awesome. Now that I just finished CH1 and got Jaesa I'm torn at who to run with, since I duo with the wife who is a Sorcerer. Having him as back up heals allowed the wife to DPS more. But, from an RP standpoint, Quinn is like an emotional anchor to my Sith. Kinda like a conscience. I know he won't let me go kill EVERY innocent person in the room- just maybe one or two to get the point across. Of course, having read this thread, I see now why he wasn't as enthusiastic as I was when I told him my plans to take Darth Baras' spot. LOL
  18. BWAHAHAHAH! Thank you, BW. That was awesome. Had to share the FB Link with my friends. The heroic music score when the droid is cooking/cleaning/repainting or the tense moment between the Trooper and the Driod after the bootlicking... Priceless.
  19. My buddies and I are having a hell of a great time here. I have so much fun here I hate going to other MMOs (but I have to because I raid in one of 'em).
  20. Gaming on a 40" TV. That's verah nice! I personally do my gaming on an officer desk, dual monitor in a gaming/office chair (on office chair dolled up like a cool gamer's chair). I take breaks to walk around and chase the cats/kids and do stuff with them, make food, ect ect. I try not to stay at the computer screen for more than an hour or two before getting up for a break. I agree with the gaming mouse. I got a Logitech job that ran me about $75 at best buy and love it. Good posture at the computer is essential to helping relieve back, shoulder/arm/hand and hip stress.
  21. I'm sure I'm either missing something or this was explained in detail on another thread. Please excuse the absurdity of this question. So, we all know there is no auto-attack in this game. We have to use our abilities, and these abilities generate a certain amount of damage upon use. So, then why does a weapon have a damage rating? Is that weapon damage added as a bonus to the attack abilities we use? Is there someting I'm missing? I, of course, Have always upgraded my weapons with the latest mods or looked for the most up-to-date weapon for my level. I do this out of habit. But, I sometimes wonder if that's even necessary. And, of course without a means to track my damage, i wouldn't know if i was gimping myself or not. Can someone please enlighten me as to how a weapon's damage effect how much damage an ability does in combat. Or, more precisely how does weapon damage even effect combat? Thanks! :-D
  22. Yeah, that duel pistol weilding Imp is a beast! I had a tough time with him too and died a couple of times. But, you gotta just respawn and stick to it. Take the advice others have suggested- med packs and fortitude stims, take your time and pick through them. Don't Leeroy the joint. You will overcome.
  23. Dude... WoW Sucks. Serously. Enough with the comparisons. The only comparison is how much better this game is to that PoS.
  24. So, I've been thinking as of late on how to draw up some fiction and RP for my character. Often in my fiction I like to utilize the NPCs/Alts that are provided me as tools to develope my character and enhance the story. In EQ2 on Antonia Bayle, my main, Fenrir always had his mentor and a healthy assortment of Ratonga to add flavor to his story. In STO my main, Maxwell, had his bridge officers to do that very thing. Here, I have my companions. Now the sticking point for me is that, unlike the other games where the supporting cast was little more than paper dolls, my companions here have voices, attitudes and an already developed story. So, in a way, I feel pidgeonholed to use Aric Jorgan's predefined demeanor rather than make my own for him. Here's the rub- there are many Aric Jorgan, many Makos, many Therons, one for each applicable character. So, how do you make them destinct? How do they have unique personalities in your fiction? Or is there a suspension on belief in that my fiction only has one Aric Jorgan and the rest are just other BatCats? Does one do away with the Bioware version Aric Jorgan and define his own personality as one sees fit? How do you define your companions in hour fiction?
  25. This was a great, well written and thought out post. Great work, Man! It was so good, I even took the time to read the responses as I was sure it'd bring forth a healthy discussion. To the subject matter: I too am taking my time and enjoying the game. There's a lot here to take in. Presently, I'm leveling a Jedi Knight and a Commando in tandem- both are almost done with Tatooine. Side note, discovered there's a bonus series for 31 in Nar Shadaa! I tell ya, lack of content should never be a complaint about this game. LOL I have an armormech and an armstech in the 200s. I can essentially equip a trooper/smuggler to 40 where the commendation/PvP gear takes over. I'm crafting with the future in mind. i know, thru experience with other MMOs, that we won't see the last of crafting. And it'll be nice to have a decent crafter available to make the new stuff when introduced. Appearance Tab <---- WANT! It is so hard finding the "right" look for your toon. I want my Jedi to look like a Jedi- robes and all. And, I want my Trooper to look like the troopers we see in the opening cinematic- very cool helmets. Don't want to find that look only to have it be completely underlevel for me. Oranges do some to help, but there's no set or even rhyme/reason to them. Would love it if planet commendations offered complete orange armor sets rather than simple one or two peices. Social items <---- WANT! If what is said is true and there was a ton of social items at the vendor during beta (I didn't see them when I was in, but i may not have looked hard enough), there's a good chance we may see them again. Of course, not to preclude the eventuality of the micro-transaction store. Yes, micro-transactions are coming, all MMOs do them, it's only a matter of time. So, we'll polly see nice armors come out of the Bioware Store . Heh. Great game, lovin every minute of it. Keep up the great work, Bioware.
