  1. Smash/sweep Is not the same since day 1. Anyone claiming that is a fool. I play a Sentinel myself and I feel that smash/sweep is way op in warzones to tell the honest truth. Btw, to back up my words on this not being the same since day 1, here goes. shicho form used to reduce the force cost of your slash by 1. I was changed to give you 2 fous every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds total. - regenerating 12 focus over 3 seconds + it was changed so you can spec for 4 stacks of singularity with it as well... This lets you throw out a whole lot more dps than earlier. Slash/smash had it's effective cooldown reduced by 3 seconds and damage boosted 20%, "for sentinels" Slash / strike attacks were changed so that they reduce the effective cooldown of your sweep. Meaning your sweep get down to roughly 5-6 seconds cooldown depending on how many attacks you can throw in. So anyone claiming that this spec's damage hasn't been changed since launch is a fool...
  2. After 5 months break from the game I am amazed to come back to experience that operatives are just as broken op as they were when I left. How extremely frustrating. Vaguards were fixed. But truly operatives are so op when they run in packs that it hurts. Same goes for smash/sweep jugs and sents. This game has been running for a year now. Bioware, spend some serious time looking into balancing now, that'd be nice.
  3. Watchman is fun and good. Combat is good and fun but very relyant on heals. Downside to combat is that it's not really possible to make a hybrid combat build due to the layout of the skills - either you are combat or not, which I really wish would change... Focus is decent allthough not really an option for Sentinels since they do less damage than guardian focus bombers and have less survivability...
  4. snipers behind the screen are too crazy dps. working together they got too many cc's and cannot be leaped + they boast so much damage that they are just too crazy...
  5. scoundrel and operative healers are rediculously op... the fact that they can cast on the move, use bubble, and 3 seconds almost invuln + loads of cc's and spec for extra runspeed + multiple anti cc's and ofcourse stealth... Outright broken...
  6. stuns in this game most certainly are rediculous. Chain stunning a person to death is outright lame and boring. Please get rid of the ability to chainstun people...
  7. get rid of permanent anti jump screen - snipers are so rediculously op already. Insane amounts of damage and lots of cc's - the fact that no night can leap them makes them rediculously op...
  8. The new ability to put augmentslots in any piece your wearing and the socialclothing being a viable choice for all is an awesome feature. I would like to point out a way to make customisation even better. 1. remove the armour class on the actual armour piece and make it an inherent stat added to your class. This way a lot more choices for customisation becomes viable for all classes and not just for medium or heavy armour users. 2. Make belts wristguards from all armour sets (pve and pvp) modable. let us take out the armouring and "enhancements". This way we can actually wear a full suit of (pve or pvp) armour that's been customised. f.i. I want to take my old and cool looking centurion or champion armour and add augmentslots to that so as to make it a viable choice. right now the fact that I cannot do that to my belt and wristguard means that I will have worse stats unless I wear a different set of wrists and belts. ruining my complete set... xenozx
  9. New lvl cap officially published, so now I am here thinking. Are you kidding me. That's a bit early for introducing a new lvl cap by end of july. Woot greart I get to grind more lvl's and spend more time getting geared up and I even get the pleasure of thrashing my hard earned pvp gear once again and start all over.... Damn, /end of fun...
  10. I have absolutely no respect for a post like this. Go back to wow and play that. Giving players a variety of skills and lots of different talent to use in any given situation makes for more interesting and challenging gameplay while also making it clear who is actually a real good player and who's not. So in other words if you think you have too many buttons to handle then play a different game...
  11. Healing + Stealth out of combat + 2 x stuns + coverscreen that prevent forceleaping... No class should have this - simply outright lame...
  12. It's not really the operative/scoundrel that's op in itself. The problem is the stun doesn't have a counter... Resolve doesn't work against stuns. You don't get stun immunity after being stunned. Stuns don't break on damage. So since stuns can be chained good teams keep a player stunned till he is dead. The stun is quite lame and needs to be changed... Xen
  13. I don't like the post really... You cannot in any variation show a realistic bid on the balance of a class or a specific build based on being backed up by a support class / healer... Go back, do some warzones - queue solo and go solo - make vids of your solo achievements 1 vs 1 - 1 vs 2 and even 1 vs 3 of you can handle that.... Then I'll tip my hat and give you some credit for your work if you can still manage a decent result that is ofcourse... Xen
  14. What about Plasma Blades, have you noticed if that changes anything to your overload??? Xen
  15. Hey guys, please support me in this... I've posted bugreports on this that have been closed and currently have an open one too... The propblem is that when you feat Defensive forms, Your Ataru form is supposed to add an additional 15% runspeed to your character. This is not the case. Defensive forms change nothing to your Ataru form. When I run alongside guildies to test it, we reach the destination at exactly the same time. No difference at all. This is the case nomatter if i am teamed up, or solo, and also it doesn't have anything to do with the playfield I am in either. Also I don't seem to notice any change in runspeed when I activate force cloak. This is supposed to add an extra 40% runspeed in addition to the 4 seconds cloaking you achieve... Please test this out and back this thread up if you fine the same results as I do...
  16. Biggest issue is not the looks but the stats on the armours. Why does sentinel use medium armour?? No good reason really, since the dps of Guardian and Sentinel isn't really much different... Why does the guardian get to choose between and defense set of armour and an offense set, while Sentinels get no variety - that doesn't make sense either... Why are the looks for Centurion, Champion and Battlemaster gear all identical? Kinda too cheasy... Xen
  17. I am currently running a dual spec that builds on Watchman for overload saber and cauterize and on Focus for the Singularity and Auto crit on Sweep. This build does huge damage and is prettymuch relying on autocritting from Zen ability and the one on my sweep... So to say that the surge change didn't nerf the hell out of the sentinel class is like saying you don't know you class at all... I have tried many builds and this build is the strongest I have tried so far - even after the surge nerf it's very good... But still - the nerf hit hard... Xen
  18. My 10 cents on this topic.... Healers in this game seem quite powerfull, some more than other. Various reasons for that. Fi. The bountyhunter/soldier class. A healer with heavy armour, shield, and a feated skill that enables them to be uninterruptible for a set amount of time. These guys are rediculous in pvp... Another problem I see, is the fact that healers can outheal all damage incoming from one character and still have time to do damage to that character. Either the cost of some heals need to be adjusted or their timers need a change. It's fine that they can infact keep this up for a bit - but after a while they need to get depleted - and atleast quicker than is the case now... This week I was in a warzone against imperials and a healer did first 900k + healing and in second match 750 + healing.... Now that is rediculously overpowered.... Xen
  19. Quit the whining with words like it's sad to see and bla. bla. There is nothing sad about a skill that is not even broken. This skill is not functioning as optimal as it should and the emperial players currently have an advantage yet. But Bioware is freaking updating every week and just because you are so spoiled rotten that you cannot appreciate that, there is nothing sad about them not fixing this as a high priority bug over other stuff that is actually entirely broken or even gamebreaking... So just shut'up and set aside your needs for a bit and you'll see everything fixed. For now be happy and play the game. If you lose then atleast know that you could've done and will do better when this skill is fixed.....
  20. SWTOR PvP is.... Unbalanced factionwise Unbalanced class wise Some servers see 1:8 republic vs empire Melee classes are at a disadvantage over ranged classes in pvp. Nothing that is special to swtor actually. This problem seems to be an evergoing problem in many mmorpg's. Simply due to the fact that if you play melee you need to be very close to your target. who can run and gun. If they do up the damage of melee too much the run and gunners will complain that they get killed too fast by melee. So hard to balance actually... Some classes are op or up... An example is the Sentinel/Marauder class. While not broken or for that matter boring to play, this class is clearly up when compared to it's sibling melee class Guardian/Juggernaut. Currently the best pvp spec involves some degree of the focus tree for each of these classes and they each seem to be able to dish out just about the same dps. Actually I often see Guardians/Juggernauts doing more dps in a warzone than the Sentinels/Marauders. That is propably due to the survivability of the Guardian/Juggernaut. The problem in this case is that while they seem to do roughly the same dps, they definately don't have the same survivability. Sentinel/Marauder uses medium armour, has a 4 seconds invis who's runspeed boost is broken and a 5 seconds near invuln bubble. The Guardians have Heavy armour, Shield, higher defense chance and other kinds of bubbles that can improve their survivability. This is just one example of things that don't seem balanced, but that said I actually think that SWTOR is delivering a very decent PvP experience and particularly when I factor in the age of this game. This game has barely launched so to judge it hard and even draw any kind of comparison to games like WoW or Age of Conan wouldn't really be fair. I have great expectations for SWTOR and I trust Bioware to deliver just as good a gaming experience as ever.... Xen
  21. Well in my case, I am sentinel lvl 41 and the operative was lvl 50 and lotsa gear. Also I don't remember for sure if it was 1.5 seconds it took him to kill me, or 3 seconds. Currently I don't have a team that I pvp with, so I sign up solomode like a lot of other people do. Meaning eventhough I wasn't alone, nobody came to my assistance because we were in the thick of it. So statements like this ... Are in my honest oppinion nothing but trolllololing....
  22. Freaking op to the extend of gamebreaking... This is something I've been getting quite frustrated with the last week. Operative lvl 50 sneaks up - cc you and backstab and wooptidoh you take some 8k damage. Then he does one more little combo and your dead. So basically my sentinel is smoked in a matter of 1.5 seconds... Now that is op...
