  1. At the end of Beta we had all-out PvP in Tattooine, Empire Vs. Republic. Everyone was in groups of 2 so that they could have their companions out. It was pretty awesome pvp. Unlike Rift where the companion is a nuisance more than a threat, SWTOR copanions can do some good damage, especially if they are well geared. Sounds like a great idea, imo.
  2. Yes nice. It even has a rate-the-thread area. (Would really like a "like" button for individual posts too) and finally, you can click to the first unread post. I like that. Now, I wonder, will it indicate which posts I have posted in? (yep, just checked it out, and it does! Hurray. With so many posts with similar titles and subjects, this has been needed for a long time!!)
  3. Regardless, they need to proofread their official statements. They are professionals, after all.
  4. +1 It might be kinda fun only having 2 teams of 4 in those war zones. Might make it pretty interesting!
  5. You said: "To refresh everyone's memories, one of the most important aspects of the new changes is that your team's performance inside the Warzone has a direct impact on a portion of the rewards you are given at the end of the Warzone. Even if your team is losing, the closer you can make the game the better your rewards will be - so don't give up hope! Giving up and letting the other team 'win faster' is now the worst possible route you can take to rewards." Have you ever really played warzones? This portion of your game is nowhere NEAR setting up and running groups that work as teams. Everything is random. Players with all levels of gear and ability AND ATTITUDE are thrown together and it is an absolute mess in there now, specifically since 1.2 Update. One of my first games (Huttball) after the update was with a team that I did a lot of running around, trying to be in front of the ball for passing, etc etc etc, I was only able to garner 1 medal... and most of the times I was stunned and slowed and frozen and strangled by the opposite team over and over, unable to really accomplish anything. There was no way that one person in our team, who was typing insults towards the rest of the team, was going to work together with the rest of us to pull it out, let alone the rest of the team pulling together to work to get a win. In general, you have perhaps 2-3 people who may step up and lead and succeed. This is the way YOU have set these warzones up. Pay attention to your game. Spend a few days of doing warzones day in and day out, and then come up with an equitable system to support your dream of how warzones should go. Thank you.
  6. Bioware is known for this, in my experience. Most of the things that we are still complaining about were told to them in numerous threads in the Closed Beta forums. We told them over and over and over, and they went along as if we had said nothing. Then we had to watch as people blamed us, the testers, for the intractable attitudes of the developers. They wanted our input but never responded to us about what we told them, whether that be on the forums or in the changes the implemented in the game. and now they implement ridiculous changes to a basically decent warzone content -- what they needed to do was reduce the incapacitating CCs and allow some actual battles to go on -- and these forums are filled with it. And it's not like this hasn't happened time and again. They don't listen, they just go ahead with those rose-colored glasses on that, because they offer a lightsaber and some music, the player base will just be content with anything and make do. I am like many in this thread. I unsubbed. Because of the PvP and because the crafting system is too costly and nothing has been done to correct that and that the Legacy system is elitest and unobtainable by many of their players.
  7. Im so glad you used real frosting and not that god-awful fondant!! Beautiful job!!
  8. It said if you were level 50 or level 6 Legacy and had an active account (no bans) on April 12th, you would receive 30 days free time (now 31 days)... they then extended it for those who weren't 50 or Legacy 6, that they had until the 24th to reach it. The email says it will be shown on your account by April 25th.
  9. You mean the way we read from the Devs that Legacy items would be Legacy Levels OR credits, and not both, then log into the game and find out that the items that are worthwhile and not fluff are Legacy Levels AND credits, and not just a few credits, but millions of credits? Bioware or whomever is in charge of all of this has completely lost track of the playerbase in this game. They have no idea about what it is like to play this game. They make ridiculous changes like this, touting this patch of 1.2 to be their game's savior, however, instead, it has become the fuel for unsubscribing. I can tell you I have. The 1.2 changes have made this game too complicated to play because the goals are not worth the effort. It has made everything I achieved prior to it basically useless and made the areas of the game that I enjoy nothing but a grind-for-nothing fest. GJ BW
  10. Well, I just lost a match where I participated fully -- Huttball -- but the pug I was with never quite got their stride, so we lost 6 - 0. I spent a lot of time running around, dying, etc, and got 3 medals. I got ZERO cash and I got 20 comms. I suppose there are those of you who think that was worth my time to play, but Im wondering whether or not it is. Those who say just leave the WZ if you are losing, well, right now, I agree. Why play it all the way through, when chances are you will receive very few medals/comms and zero cash? Really! What is clear is that the think-tanks that the Devs have are unrealistic and/or simplistic and/or have no idea how their game works. I tell you. I'm at my wits end. Update 1.2 has pretty much done me in.
  11. Judging from their ability to add in new content from this latest patch, I wouldn't push them. It will probably glitch the entire game or it will cost 3 million per slot. Whichever, it isn't worth it.
  12. Most of the worthwhile Legacy benefits costs 1 million and more. So if you have that kind of a cache, then you can buy the good stuff.
  13. This is quite a punch to the pocketbook for Bioware.
  14. Let them eat cake! You claim to be skilled, but I would have more of a tendency to think that you are simply someone who doesn't play the game in any definition of casual and has no craft skills. Don't know what you do, but it isn't the average player. I am like many of the people I know. I've leveled my crafting skills to 400. I have 2 50 toons and 4 other sub-50 toons. I level them up, do my quests, do warzones, and make products through my crafting skills, which regularly empties my coffers as getting the mats is a pretty expensive endeavor. Not only do I not have millions to spend on these things, there is no way at this point in the game that I would deem any of them worth millions of credits. Legacy was touted as this great aspect of Star Wars. What it has ended up being is a joke that few players will find as a selling point of this game. The Guild Banks are a joke, the cost for them. These should be rewarded, at least the first page, to the people who form a guild. And the 12 player requirement is idiotic. PvP has ended up a joke, since so many are reporting that unless they win, no benefits are given to them. I am afraid BW has not really paid attention to its playerbase.
  15. Let them eat cake! Is that what you are saying? Who minds working for stuff? Hardly anyone. Working to gain millions of credits for benefits that were touted as the reward for having Legacy levels, that is a life sentence. Unless you just collect money and don't spend it on any other part of the game. BWs problem is they think this is content. Just like they think running around halls for hours on end is content. Content does not define itself with mindless automated actions. It is stuff that engages your minds. Somebody at BW needs to get real.
  16. Yes, really. I engage in that OTHER credit sink: crafting biochem. I've spent well over a million trying to get mats for a decent amount of stims. I wonder if I would have gone without them (though they are addictive) if I had known I would need MILLIONS AND MILLIONS to unlock legacy items and various and other sundries.
  17. So, PvP is screwed up. Can't get medals if you lose, and you go up against 8-man premades as a pug group... hmmm. Legacy benefits that I'm interested in can't be unlocked because it costs millions of credits, which I don't have, which we were TOLD would be an either/or not an either/and, putting me a great disadvantage for the game. Hmmm. Can't get a guild bank because it costs 600k credits and need 12 in your guild. Hmmm. I honestly do not know what the Devs were thinking with this patch. I do know that the parts of this game that I enjoyed have now been made unplayable for me. Sure, I get a month's free play, according to what they say NOW, because I have a current active account and a 50 toon. But what would I possibly do once I log in? Unless they back track a lot of this, it is going to be a disaster.
  18. Actually, not true. All of the perks for your ship, like a mail box, GTN, training dummies, those all cost 1 million + and for me, it's not that they cost credits plus legacy (though i am a bit disappointed about that, having spent this past 3 weeks diligently working on my legacy level through alts) it is that the credit requirement is OUTRAGEOUS and exorbitant. Yes, I know there are those on these forums who have accrued millions and millions of credits and belittle those of us who havent. They are NOT the majority of players. Thereby most legacy perks belong to the financial elite. How oddly paralleling our own society these days. And, as for the companion perks, I don't really care, as mostly I pvp and a companion is just not going to work for me there... as is the cross-over skill, since heroic moment has to be used with a companion present.
  19. Maybe they are fixing the Trooper class quest that is bugged out, so I can finish Chapter 2
  20. I have played played 5 games. All but SWTOR gave the guild a bank, at least the first tab. The other pages had to be paid for in increasing amounts. What is this obsession BW has with exorbitant prices for things that should be given? There was so much of "yes, yes, we are going to add this to the game...." They forgot to mention we are going to charge you up the nose for every single bit of it... to the point where all you will be doing all day is grinding around trying to come up with the credits. Honestly, I am stunned about the gouging.
  21. I appreciate what has been written above me. Most of my credits have been spent on crafting missions and purchasing crafting materials. The gathering nodes are too rare, the RNG on getting what you need and how many you need from the Crafting Missions is too high, and the pricing on the materials on the GTN are incredibly overpriced, but one must pay what one must pay to craft a single stim. So, in my view, the crafting system is enough of a credit sink... the pricing on the Legacy items is way over what I would be willing to pay or would have the resources to pay. I will not be getting any of them. And I'm sure that my gameplay will suffer as a result, since there will be obvious advantages to those who have managed to gather lots of credits to waste on these items. Oh well.
  22. Yes, Rift had it, and it was a very nice feature. But it is advanced. So far SWTOR has nothing that is cutting edge in its game. Everything is the minimal needed. All of their attention, seemingly, being put into voiceovers and a Legacy system that, with this patch, serves only the very cunning and market-savvy players.
  23. It is a legacy benefit. If I recall correctly, you need a certain level of Legacy and something like 1 million credits to get the first one... more for the 2nd and 3rd one.
  24. So... I don't have a level 14 alt. I'm not interested in deleting any of my toons to make one. So this is another useless Legacy benefit for me? I'm sorry, but so far Legacy has provided me with nothing of value. Oh, except I get the buffs from my other toons of the same faction that are level 50. Nice.
  25. Why, as a level 43 trooper, do I get a weapon kit that is only tradeable for a level 14 weapon?
