  1. NPC Sargeant Zaya on the planet Rishi, while on the quest "An Enemy Twice Over". This NPC is located outside the personal phase door and it's head is completely invisible except for some antennae or horns, looks like the character is possibly a Rodian? Zabrak? Possibly an entirely new invisible/headless species? Hard to say without a head. This headless behavior was observed as a level 80 Bounty Hunter using the Vanguard Tactics combat style.
  2. Perhaps a keybind to toggle helmet on/off OUTSIDE of conversation would work better then. Then you could toggle it on or off prior to initiating a conversation. Basically I'm just looking for a streamlined way to toggle the helmet on/off without having to open the character screen each time. Keybind seems like the solution in my mind.
  3. Preferences > Keybinding Tab > Interface > Toggle Chat Pane Setting as keybind doesn't toggle the chat pane on/off, it just opens the cursor in the chat pane dialogue box. Same as hitting <ENTER> on the keyboard. This setting SHOULD toggle chat on/off the same as hitting the arrow key on the chat pane. Would greatly appreciate a fix, a hotkey makes hiding chat during conversations MUCH easier instead of having to manually click the arrow to hide/show.
  4. I'm sure this has been asked many times, but having some kind of option to hide your helmet only during conversations would be amazing. I know the tech exists somewhere in the game because some conversations DO automatically hide your helmet. Preferably a KEYBIND or other toggle that can be actuated during a cinematic, sometimes I want to be more menacing and have the helmet on, other conversations it would be more polite to remove my helmet. The clunky way of doing it right now is to <ESC> cancel the conversation, open the character sheet, hide/show helmet, then start the conversation again. Being able to just hit a keybind toggle or click an onscreen button in the middle of conversation would be AMAZING. Thank you for reading.
  5. There's a post in the dev tracker saying it will be down for 30min to fix something that broke, unfortunately they didn't put a notice banner in the LAUNCHER to let players know what's up.
  6. The issue is it seems to only affect Spectrum (Charter Internet) customers in my region. Switching ISP and the loss is gone. Also, this packet loss is only happening on the final few hops, everything up to the Zayo data centers (who hosts SWTOR) has no loss.
  7. Title pretty much sums it up, I use Spectrum Internet as do a few friends in town and we've all had persistent issues connecting to the new cloud servers hosted by Zayo. The IP of the culprit seems to be 65.125.28.191 and ae6.cs4.ord2.us.eth.zayo.com and ae3.cs.lga5.us.eth.zayo.com which is probably a Zayo entry address for some kind of DDOS protection (pure guess just from the last 8 years working in other datacenters, not a specialist so don't flame me), a lot of random packets fail at that IP and it's causing typical packet loss symptoms in the game client. Restarting router doesn't fix, no issues with any other connections to the internet including other gaming. Switching over to mobile data hotspot through my phone and the problem is nonexistent, same with switching to another ISP. Seems to be some kind of issue directly between Spectrum and Zayo but the packet loss appears to be occurring on the Zayo end at the final few hops which is likely inside the datacenter. These issues have been persistent for months (EDIT: about two months), and my local friends playing SWTOR have the same issue, curious to see if any other Spectrum Internet customers in the pacific northwest or elsewhere are also experiencing this issue.
  8. When switching alts I would like to be able to read the loading screen to catch up on where those characters are in the story but on modern gaming hardware the load screen is only visible for maybe 3-4 seconds. Can you please add some kind of PAUSE function, maybe just tapping the spacebar to pause the load screen and prevent it from jumping straight into the game. A second tap to enter the game. I am currently only able to read less than 1 paragraph of the load screen before I'm in the game so I end up logging back to the character screen and loading 3-4 times in order to read the whole thing. I know, it's a weird problem to have, but that's my suggestion, a way to pause the load screen so it can be read in it's entirety. Thank you for reading and have a happy new year.
  9. The odd part is it's really hard to reproduce the issue, it hasn't happened for the last 3-4 days, then suddenly it happened ONCE today and hasn't happened again since. The weekend prior it happened probably 75% of the times I tried to open the ability tree. I haven't seen it happen when opening just the character sheet though.
  10. Same thing happening to me. It clears up after about 1 full second, Intel i7 13700KF, WD SN350 M2 SSD 2TB, RTX4070ti. All drivers up to date for everything.
  11. Level 48 just unlocked the 5th deplorable deployable companion.
  12. I found a workaround for the intel CPU glitch, initially the launcher wouldn't work with my i7-13700KF and I was getting an error when trying to click the PLAY button. So I installed the Steam version of the client, which worked, but I didn't want to have to open Steam every time I wanted to play SWTOR, so I copied the Steam installation directory to a different directory, then told the regular SWTOR launcher the installation location, ran a repair and miraculously it worked. Makes me think the issue is something with an .ini file or something and not actually a CPU issue, but it only affects intel CPU's so...
  13. Yeah it's like weapons or the color crystal effect or something doesn't render for a few seconds after opening the character screen sometimes. Displays a LARGE BLACK PIXELATED BLUR until it loads. I'll try to screenshot it if I can.
  14. Somehow I fixed the issue, details are in this post. https://forums.swtor.com/topic/932358-shadow-quality-causes-flickering-on-character-models/?do=findComment&comment=9792530
  15. Ok so I somehow managed to FIX the problem, not sure exactly what it was that I did however I was messing around with the game resolution settings and swapped from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080, then back to 2560x1440. Also I swapped between windowed fullscreen and regular fullscreen which left me with a BLACK unresponsive screen, I had to force close the application. When I reloaded the game it was on windowed fullscreen (which I wanted) and 2560x1440 resolution (which I wanted) and miraculously the low-rez flickering shadow issue on faces during conversation is GONE and shadows appear to be working properly now. It's still present to an extremely minimal degree but nowhere near as bad as the video I posted earlier. This is probably the way the devs intended it now. Just to confirm, I still have all settings on ultra/high (or whatever the highest setting is for that option), including enhanced shadows.
