  1. It works again! Don‘t ask what did the trick, as I did too many things at once to be sure, but I reinstalled drivers, reset all the gfx settings and switched around the performance profiles (embarrassingly enough it might well have been the latter). Now the game is s smooth as before. I am happy.
  2. Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond, highly appreciated. I experience the lag on my homeserver, so it should not be related to any routing or similar. I just tested it at home and compared to my PC, so there is some kind of objective evidence. I can‘t recall having been asked anything related to graphic settings after the patch. I toned down all settings, to no avail. The behaviour is hard to describe, more some kind of stuttering than real lagging. My laptop is a pretty new midlevel gaming laptop, an Acer Predator Helios 18, i713700HX and Geforce 4060. I reinstalled DX9 just to be safe and checked the obvious (drivers…), frustrating, as it worked fine until the patch (or at least so I think - you never know).
  3. Hey there, as this is a somewhat fuzzy description I might well have overlooked threads or posts covering it, but my search did not bring anything up, so bear with me in case of redundancies. I am using a Laptop as backup device to play while traveling or else, and up to 7.4 it worked fine. After the update my game started lagging, similar to what you experience when you play on a laptop unplugged, so with a throttled power consumption. Since I never changed anything besides the game update it should not be something related to my system. Anyone experiencing this as well and/or any ideas? My laptop is definitely more than capable of running Swtor flawlessly, so that shouldn't be the issue either. Any idea would be highly appreciated. BR
  4. If I am not completely mistaken then you can finish the weekly within the „week“ lasting from reset to reset, so Tuesday. Means: if you pick it up on Wednesday, you should be fine, on Monday it might get a little short.
  5. That is PvP I suppose - different story. Boss fights are scripted, you do not need to see them for the most part. I was talking about people not making 20k in Lady Dom. That is a myth. Actually the knowledge about the earth being round dates way back, the ancient Greek even had a pretty good understanding of the circumference by measuring the deviation of shadow angles at noon in two cities in Egypt. Heliocentricity is maybe a different story. Anyway - I have bound everything, even out of combat regen or mount. But I see clickers outperform me in operations, hence my remark about it not being the reason to fail in Ops. Btw.: I still have to check my hud not to miss my priorities (be it glowing abilities or buff-tray).
  6. While I do agree that it might make things easier, I do not agree that keybinding will improve the DPS on its own. So basically I am one of those deniers you mention. In fact, I have seen videos of awesome players who - much to my surprise - actually really clicked. With optimized interfaces I guess it will work...
  7. tbh - looking at the chat quality in many instances I am actually quite happy it is dead... Most servers have a dedicated custom channel for people to connect (e.g. LFG, Allies...), besides that especially the starter planet chats are notorious for spam of all sorts. In the end, it is human beings playing, and without moderation it will get out of hand.
  8. Well, to be fair: it sure feels bad for us Europeans when they take down the servers for 6h reaching into prime time when they are theoretically not affected by the US servers moving, when the US servers were always brought back asap. I can‘t judge if this is required or justified or whatever, it just feels bad. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, let‘s hope the move works fine.
  9. I have no issues with doing all 4, but the points do not really seem balanced compared to the 2 VetFP you need to do for example for the same amount. In general finishing this will drag a little longer, so in my case I (more or less accidentally) finished 7 other weeklies before that... any mechanism to "control" the progress would be appreciated, so I don't have to plan all activities at all times (yes, I AM lazy). And please make Vet or NiM Ops targets as well awarding more points than Storymode...
  10. I earned a total of 148 spores (doing 7/7 weeklies and all dailes up to now), I had exactly one drop from mobs. So enough to get slightly ahead of weekly requirements to max weekly rep - I can live with that, but I'd definitely like to see a higher open world drop rate - I despise consumables to increase the chances (real time timers suck, I don't want to be a slave to a clock outside of work as well god dammit).
  11. It sure adds a little thrill to the traveling experience. Usually I have to wiggle my char to be able to "activate" the QT points in the first place (so it is not an "exceptional case" but rather the default on all chars), and with my Stormtrooper-aiming skills on a widescreen display it closes in on the "scan locations fun" for the dailies on Ziost as far as blood-boilers are concerned.
  12. Didn't have a single drop just yet, so I already thought it wasn't a thing with GS5.
  13. I was positively surprised to be able to play yesterday - and I did not notice any issue as yet (then again: I only played a little). So for me the move was a positive experience up to now, /thumbsup.
  14. I would love to see a "gear box", so that your gear does just consume 1 spot (so basically the same as getting a set-crate) and can easily be moved around, instead of each item individually. I don't see it happen though, as it would require some development rather than tweaking existing things.
  15. At first: thanks a lot for taking the time to post here, and also to asking for and incorporating feedback. That is really appreciated. Two short queries for the pieces I quoted: Is it correct to assume that the difficulty of an operation will result in different points granted? So something like 8 for Story and 12 for Vet/NiM? If I may chip in that from my point of view there still is a big difference between HM and NiM, so maybe a separation there would be in order as well. Looking at the way the GS5 objective is phrased I am a little scared that I'd need to really run those exact 4 FPs a couple of times (if it is still 8 in total each 4 at least). Seeing that you usually queue randomly that sounds like much more effort, can you please explain a little more detailed? Thanks!
  16. That's why I use the local loadout. Switching between "local" and "BiS" always "inverts" from an operational point of view, so once I switched back (local - BiS - local) all items are exactly stored where they were before. Avoids any confusion. And only afterwards I sort out the loot. But of course the stamp-version you propose is far more comfortable. It just needs to be made sure that stamped items are not vendored or whatever...
  17. Well, let me correct my phrase then: works pretty well for me. Yes, there is room for improvement - why not directly use the legacy bank? Or even better: an additional legacy gear tab? Or make the loadout work without switching gear in the first place... And yes, you need to organize your banks not to confuse legendaries or tacticals. But for me it works well enough as compared to earlier: since the last activity usually is to switch loadout to "local" I will zone in directly at a legacy storage, so it is maybe 15 seconds until I am operational. Good enough for me. *shrugs*. Of course it is much more convenient not having to bother in the first place, meaning to have the individual char geared nicely. But even then you still need different gear for different roles/specs, so loadout it is again.
  18. It is actually not that bad, tbh. I have created loadouts per char: one being "local" (maning: the gear my individual char has equipped), one "optimized" per role. All sets and tacticals reside in legacy bank. So all you have to do with any character: load in, open legacy bank, select desired loadout. And before logging out: open legacy bank and select local loadout. Works pretty well.
  19. Best advice I can give is to use the reputation boosters you get as login rewards (dunno if only when subbed though). They double your rep gains for 15 (I guess) items. So I always exchanged 100 notes for 5 purple rep items and turning in 5 of those will make you reach your max rep for a week provided you have an effective boost. If you also have a max guild bonus on rep it will net you 5750 rep a week and save a lot on notes to collect. Be aware that the booster also has an expiration timer, so best use it on a single char for that single purpose.
  20. Seeing that GS is an easy way to sell the reuse of existing content as "new" I would definitely assume there will be a next one. I for one certainly hope that it will take some time though, as I "need to finish" this stuff and feel pretty burned out. Not having to hunt the weekly missions has been a relief.
  21. I still see prices going down. Also for things like dark projects or flagship plans (which for me are like a good indicator since the effort to get them remains unchanged). Extending the number of conquest commendations to obtain (and simplifying the currencies) and using increased tech fragment rewards (at least it seems to me that way, Old Wounds-missions grant quite a lot) goes a long way to beat inflation, as OEM/RPM are significantly easier to obtain now. For me personally I think that was one of the major contributors to inflation (besides excess credits from exploits obviously).
  22. This has been discussed a couple of times, similar to the Oricon-Questline it should definitely have been handled differently, like for example Yavin, where there are different options to continue in the end (operation or solo missions) or via an immediate branding as group content. Today you will find it hard to find groups anyway - so it is not easy even if you do not avoid grouping. Binocular Heroic Mission 1 can be finished solo though, only the last mission requires 4 players as you need to push buttons. Seeker Droid might be possible to solo (read about people who did it, but there are 2 parts that will be very difficult to solo including companion micromanagement), but with 2 if should definitely work.
  23. What is specifically aggravating: I am still missing the achievements for S2, as I didn‘t take part (and consequently don’t have the companion) and I somehow lost 2 pieces of armor of S1 (though having reached level 100 CS doesn‘t seem to be able to give them to me) - and I can‘t even use the tokens to get those, so I am stuck at 15/15, too.
  24. Did you post in the german part on purpose? It is beyond dead as you will have noticed. 😁 Anyway: mastermode FPs need to be played in a group with a trinity, so you could try to queue for one. Usually reset should work though: right click your player portrait and reset the FP‘s phases and then in mission menu.
