  1. Launched the game earlier today (2016/11/05) and the Launcher performed a quick patch, and when it reached 100% Install, did not allow the game to be launched. I have the orange bar at the bottom indicating a successful install was completed, and the Play button does not activate. Everything else on the UI is active, just not the play button. Ironically, I played the game on the desktop in question the previous day. Before you ask, it is a Streaming launcher, and I have tried the trick with deleting the bitraider folder to no avail.
  2. Coming into this "argument" late, since I've been playing events on ST:O for the last 10 days... Translation: "We don't want Sorcerers or Sages soloing PvE anymore..." I don't know about anyone else, but having a 25% pin rate for the victims of my force quakes and force storms is about the only thing that keeps my characters alive in some situations. So much for teaming up being OPTIONAL. In my case, I don't specialise (I hate the new skill "system"), I JOAT. So this means instead of playing my character the way I want to, I now have to play it the same way everyone else does...or else. I play to have fun, not run rotations for ideal damage output. If they keep this up, 'bot programs are going to become more popular than they, unfortunately, already are.
  3. Sarcastic Reply: So Quit the game. Realistic Reply: The game is SET-UP to be playable Solo. You prefer to socialise when playing, others prefer to play. In short, you play your way, and you don't like people that don't. ..TOUGH. The game doesn't REQURE team-ups, which is why 90%+ of the missions PER PLANET are not Heroic. Some people play PvE until 10th level and then go pure PvP. (Personally can't stand 'em, 'cause they whine more than a lonely puppy at 2am.) Me, and many others, play PvE and don't PvP. Then there are the PvP players I actually respect...they play the game AND PvP. (Several friends go this route.) Then there are the "The only content worth playing is End Game content" . (Can't stand these idiots who think 75% of the game is there ONLY to get them the XP to play the "real game.") Caught on yet? You play your way, let me and everyone else play the way WE WANT. As for Random Invites? Welcome to the /ignore list. Protocol: Whisper, accept, invite. Oh, in case you didn't catch it...I approve 100% of the OP's spleen vent.
  4. 1) I'm not crying... I'm ANNOYED. 2) I've never sat a queue yet on Darth Scion, luckily have yet to sit one on Dorga's Pleasure Barge, and never seen one on Telos. 3) Depending on when I log on, I'm seeing FULL severs...research is easy...just go to the server page. Heck, when I logged out of Droga's on Saturday the 7th (July), it was FULL! And to top it off, Bioware(?) has locked all the "transfer from" servers that I can tell Like I originially said, if I wanted a HEAVY server I would have rolled on one in the first place...and dealt with the lag issues. I went to medium/light servers to AVOID having to twiddle my thumbs waiting for different sections of fleet to load. It's bad enough I'm using Nar Shadda for my hub, but the lag is getting worse there too!
  5. So you're telling those of us having single faction server accounts can't get him... Thanks.
  6. Having finally received the prompt on both servers I frequent, I checked things out...and am NOT pleased. If I wanted a VERY HEAVY server, I would have rolled on one in the first place. A larger population is fine only under two situations...1) The community makes it worth it, and as of right now, I know nothing about Droga's Pleasure Barge(?), nor Jedi Covenant, so I'm going to have to visit those forums. 2) There is no queue to log-in. THIS is why most people that chose a light to medium server chose one in the first place.
  7. And a site unrelated to BW and EA has exactly what to do with it?
  8. Telos Reconstruction Project and / or Darth Scion... Oh, wait... Nevermind
  9. No, laughable is the presumption that a LINE SOLDIER has access to the best of the best. The average soldier has essentially second rate equipment, because the Government can buy five times as much for the same amount. Any Goverment who's military relies on the newest and shiniest toys is a Government who's military doesn't have a clue as to how to use the equipment they have, because by the time they know HOW to use it, it's replaced with something newer and more expensive! Think about WWII... Specifically the Commonwealth forces. They were issued STEN guns...cheap garbage that after 4-5 clips had to be tossed-out. Why? Because they were cheap like Borcht, bought in mass quantities, and easily replaced.
  10. 100% agree... Boba Fett survived (albeit at the integrity of most of his Mandolorian armour) a Thermal Detonator blast at essentially contact range to escape the Sarlaac. Despite what we see in the Sacking of Aldaraan vid, a trooper holding a Thermal Detonator in his hand might survive, but he'd be minus the hand, and most/all of his arm. The average Hunter is little more than a street tough who got lucky a couple of times... The elite are the functional equivalent of the elite of the elite of the Military skill and survivability wise...since a fair number of them are just that... Retired/Cashiered Military elites. (If you've played Mass Effect, think Kai Leng. He was an N6 trained soldier that was cashiered over a bar fight.)

    Healer?

? Three Disturbances to get the max stacked force regen is counter productive?
  12. And? Do I have an issue with it? Depends on how it's handled. As for "X" crafting skill being "useless"...I'm pretty sure that most servers pops are still not mostly 50's, so that means the profit is made selling items at critical levels for people coming to that level, and for outfitting companions. NOT selling to 50's. Make a whack of the level 20(?) lightsabers, crit crafted or not...people will THANK you for it! (Even if the thanks is an anonymous e-mail with money attached.) An arteficer on Telos that I know makes 100 creds on 20-40 stuff for every cred he makes on 50 stuff. He's (almost) literally seen mid level crystals vanish from his sale inventory before he finishes his item posting!
  13. A repair bill that can generally countered in full by the MONEY you receive for participating. However, for the OP...if you were NOT part of the Group (i.e.: the boss' health bar was grey), *why* are you expecting a reward other than a "Thank You" from the group?
  14. Re: Rested XP... Rested XP is WONDERFUL!!! Please note, Quest rewards (and Holocron rewards) is ALSO doubled...and unlike Combat XP, does NOT diminish the amount of Rested XP. I also levelled to 50 before reaching Corellia...heck, I hit 50 somewhere on Hoth if I recall correctly...and as with you, I played zero PvP.
  15. Not really...since my Synthweaver has critted multiple times on both Archaeology and Underworld Trading since 1.2 dropped. No schema. In fact, since almost daily play since pre-Christmas, I've found somewhere around 10-15? schema, and fewer than 3 of those were for synthweaving. My Arteficer (different server) has YET to see a schema from either Diplomacy or Treasure Hunting. (Yes, I'm at the mercy of the GTN for my mats...)
  16. Presumption: all of your claims are honest...linking to an external website proves zero, sorry. (Congrats on the second...) As for the SW nerd... So's my boss... Playing Taris with him tossing *** bombs every few seconds due to the changes in "history" from his previous experience (following canon and non-canon storylines) in KoTOR. He's also noted several continutiy issues regarding certain aspects of the game (due primarily through timeline where race or world "X" sees mention in the game but shouldn't have, since it hasn't been found yet!). He also has fun poo-pooing some of the suggestions that crop-up occasionally for new worlds and races for the same reason. One of them was a race that was discovered less than a century prior to the battle at Yavin... Lastly, no offence, but the game was advertised as intending to cater to CASUAL gamers from day one, with PvP and Operations added for additional flavour. If the entire point of the game was PvP and Operations, the storylines would have never been written, or at least not as detailed as it is, let alone the lore, datacrons, etc. It was always planned that the journey was more important than the destination. Anyway...I do wish you luck in whatever game you settle on.
  17. Really...do tell. You DO realize that PvP from the get go was intended as an "extra" add-on feature, and never planned as the core mechanic... If you think PvP is more importaint that PvE, might I suggest CoD or BF might be more your speed? As for Flashpoints...I see people REGULARILY running FPs successfully, given the "I will" replies on my LIGHT and STANDARD servers I play on. Admittedly some of the GEAR (not gears) looks ugly, but you can always kit yourself with "pretty" gear if you look hard enough. As for "Low Population"... I see 40-60 people at peak on Fleet on the lighter population of my (so far) two servers, and I consider that "comfortable," as I don't have to worry (often) about my framerate dropping throught the floor. As for server merges, MMOs only do that in extremis. Server merges in the industry are generally considered to be step one to extinction. For Ranked WZs, that was intended from day #1, but has been delayed due to technical concerns. As far as I'm concerned, Ranked WZ would be nice ... but it's never been something I need, even on BF2142, I was happy sitting in the middle of the pack. I was there to HAVE FUN, not grind someone else's face in the mud over how my KDR is 3.24:1 while you're is still sub-1:1. Say wha? WTH is an elo other than some half-forgotten 80's band? That being said...PLAY THE FREAKING GAME. The game is about the STORY. PvP is just something to do while waiting friends/guildies to come available to play content with. That being said, even on my LIGHT (load) server, I rarely hear of people having too many problems filling out an Ops group. In any case, unless you're playing Chess, Go or Scrabble competatively, Elo is useless, which is why even WoW dropped it. What's wrong with Legacy? I'm STILL doing content with my level 50 Sage, the LS means that I can earn items that customise my experience of the game makes it more enjoyable. The system (which BW specifically states will continue to evolve and bring-in more features and content) allows you to bring your characters under an umbrella of alliances and family. It gives an interesting bit of extra flavour, especially when you consider that RIVAL is one of the options! As for "SERIOUS" issues...what issues? Serious PvP issues? How is an issue that only effects maybe 20% of the under 10% of server population (i.e.: the PvP only players) is serious, when about 98% of the players will NEVER see this "Serious" issue? This is NOT SWG, it never was planned to be such! I repeat: This is NOT SWG, it never was planned to be such! SW:TOR is an RPG with PvP elements added, and based on the STORY. SWG was a tactical game with RPG elements added...this is why each planet was it's own SERVER, not instance! Even then, it still took something like 3-5 YEARS before anyone actually managed to organise and conquer a server in SWG! Really? I consider the space combat to be pretty "epic" for the "high" level battles. I also consider some of the Planet Boss fights I've been part of to be pretty epic. That being said, if I want the kind of "EPIC" you're talking about, I'll go log into my BF3 or 2142 accounts, where I can be one of 64 people battling for a map. How is it boring? Have you already played all 8 classes through to level 50? Wow...I have one 50, one 42, and one 21st after 4 months, playing about 30-40 hours a week. I'm impressed! How is it unplayable? Repetative, I'll give you. Well, since you want Warhammer, but you want it in the SW universe, I don't think we'll be seeing you again... Wish you well with whatever game you finally settle on.
  18. The issue is that NONE of the companions AT ALL have a +Crit for Arteficing. I have the same issue with my Consular...I have a bonus to Efficiency for Synthweaving (the only +Crit for the skill is with one of the Bounty Hunter's[?] companions). Even with the new sensors you can buy for your Ship Droid, there are no crits for Aretficing.
  19. They're not born without eyes. The eyes are there, they simply can not use them, because the nerves have atrophied.
  20. While the antidotes may or may not be the only quest reward (don't know, have only scored 1 infection to date), but the FIVE rakghoul DNA samples each time you die (while infected) are kinda nice. As for infecting other characters, as long as they're in the burst radius when you die, they can be infected. You can do it through waiting for the disease to progress to the emergence of the Rakghoul within, or by having someone kill you in a PvP encounter. (Note: you have to be re-infected, from my experience, after you die.)
  21. It is at the FAR south/east corner of the map behind the overrun "palace" complex. That being said, it's an Heroic area, and rather high... A co-worker and I went in there (Sage & Sentinel) in the mid 40's and cycled through the death timer almost twice. Don't forget the red detonite pack from the vendor near the Kings Pass(?) road!
  22. Hardly... I never spacebarred through anything I wasn't replaying for the third time, and I had a 50 in Feb, accompanied by a 30+ on a separate server... And that was me playing about 3 hours a night, and averaging about 15 on the weekend (across both days). After all, work, gym and social life tends to cut into game time (and I was also playing ME3 at the same time). A co-worker was given the game for Christmas by his wife... He averages less time per week than I do (wife and two kids plus work and a social life), yet he digned level 50 the day after I did. Had I been playing *only* 2 hours a DAY since release, I could easily have hit level 50. In fact, I was in the 40's when I completed act 2 and scored my Legacy, since I was doing EVERY quest that came along on every planet... Taris was the first planet I failed to complete eveything, and that was only because it was an H4! Level 50 Consular Sage - enjoying the story Level 37 Inquisitor Sorcerer - enjoying the story Level 15 Smuggler Scoundrel - enjoying the story Level 5 Inquisitor (making an Assassin) Level 4 Imperial Agent - LOVED the story in Beta
  23. You think THAT'S bad... I'm running a Sage, and (in addition to my companions) have a Voss Seer, his 3-5 assistants, and his 30(?) Voss bodyguard, plus the Ambassadors of the planets of the Rift League (fortunately one less than it would otherwise be, since one of my companions is one of them), and a small contingent of Esh-Kha that have joined with me from Belsavis. There's only a half dozen beds, one head, and two escape capusles (one of which is locked for my personal use by the protocol/steward droid) for over 50 people!
  24. What? What is wrong with the Pre-Order cyrstal? I loved it. When the level 50 version hits, I'm buyin...I LIKE the yellow/black effect!
