    Nope i wouldn't. I play this game as part of a duo with my wife (who is a starwars freak) and because the storyplay is great. I play everquest 1 for the grouping experience and anarchy online because it still has a lot of depth today games never will have. This game is good but would be just a science fiction game without starwars and the stories.

    People are getting a combat log. Only problem is that you only can access the logs from those who give them. Those who don't want logs can keep it private. This should be good enough for those who want them. Thankfully Bioware has not given in on the elite demand

    I guess all the raiders who have raided and cleared raids in the game so far aren't real raiders then?

    They won't go away. If Bioware ever releases a more detailed combat log they will find another addon they claim is needed to play this game, and if Bioware doesn't add it the game might loose a lot of players...again....and again

    You get your private combat log, use it or don't that's the choice you have.

    I think i have 80k at the moment with 32 as my highest level character.

    I am quite sure the devs don't need to implement a real combat log like some players want. They get their numbers already more detailed than a log ever will be.

    FACT: All content in the game currently gets cleared without any need for a real combat log so they arent really useful or needed in the endgame of the Old Republic.

    The amount of abuse people in this thread get who don't want a real combat log tells it all. You will get your combat log, just not in a way it can be abused in game towards different minded gamers.

    Hehe 45 here, first game i played was UO and today far less time to game than all the way back then.

    Multi-player isn't equal to must be a group player. Not grouping doesn't mean not being social towards other players. I chat a lot with others but rarely group with non-friends, this game makes that possible. Without solo-players this game would be empty. Also it's not your place to decide who is allowed to play an mmorpg and who not.

    QFE. People now have a private combat log. Those who want to use it now have the option to do so. Those who don't want a log are happy now too. The only way people will be berated is by giving the log themselves when someone asks for it. And thank god for that.

    Nothing absurt when the creators of the game give people a choice in what to choose. If it's absurd you should request Bioware to remove the talents you think are useless and should not be allowed to choose.

    Bioware says they have a right to see the operations. It's not anyone's right to shut someone out of content besides Bioware. This is the attitude that makes people say no to the elitists who think they can decide how the game should be played.

    Both specs should be good enough to do anything in the game be it soloing, be it raiding. If that's not possible Bioware did something wrong with it.

    Hmm Funcom is very good in creating a hype. I will believe the 100-100+ battles when i see them run on my computer (or any computer other then Funcom stuff).

    Yup story so far is very much worth playing the game. Highest level char for me is 27 so hitting 50 still will take me a while.

    People still need to play to get the credits to buy stuff (not that i agree this shop should be implemented) so telling others you get everything for free when this goes live is wrong.

    Not really. A better equiped companion makes my gaming easier. The only way to get the good stuff for my companion is doing FP and OP's, which means i will roll need for my companion. BUT i always ask the group first before we start, if they are ok it's fine, if not i simply leave.
