  1. Could you give me some numbers and a breakdown of the "insane pve damage", I tried it myself and some other scoundrels in my guild tried it and I am really not seeing the insane damage. If fact it appear to be rather poor damage compared to scrapper which itself isnt great.
  2. The main issue I have with the current system for normal mode loot is its inflexability. If the current system was just one of serveral options and the loot system being used was clearly displayed / maybe even fixed upon entry there would be no draw back to pugs but a huge boon to casual raiders. We run a guild on an RP server with our prime directive being inclusiveness. We run a mixture of normal and hard modes each night and try to encourage people who wouldn't normally be raiders to raid and learn tactics. We do this by running with 4 geared people and 4 newer people/ our kids/ Wifes/ Girlfriends and even a retired couple. We are find ourselves constantly frustrated by the current system , I am sure it just bad luck with the RNG, but we currently have somebody who has done 3 EV clears and 2 karraga clears with us and not got a single piece of columni, We have done a Op where every piece of columni went to people who already had it. We really want to get these new people hooked on the raiding buzz but we have had a few raids now where we have finished and all felt cheated.

I am no longer in a postion to hardcore raid, family etc means it is all very much casual but becuase I have been a hardcore player in the past and am casual now i can see this sitiuation from both sides. I agree with 99% of the Op comments but it doesn't surprise me lots of the replies have taken an agressive stance that top tear loot should be only marginally better than the easy to attain stuff. It could be taken as a very basic I dont want other people to have better than me regardless of if they are prepared to work harder. In reality the only place this is an issue is with player in raid gear having an unfair advantage in PVP and that should be solvable by the proper implementation of expertise. The really should be more of a gear spread at lvl 50, the dailies provide in 3-4 days a full set of gear that is equal to all the drops in hard mode FP except the columni peice from the last boss and all the none columni peices in normal ops, - that probably wasn't a good idea. only 1 gear set for HM and NM ops and tionese =126, comuni = 136 Rakata 140 i feel columni should be 146 and there should be a t4 at 156.
  5. Re-usables was always going to be a winner for high level meds, stims adrenals when the costs of mats are so high. Made more so by the fact that other crew skills are all a varying shade of useless. Simple solution though make all resuables not require biochem, then all would have them. Biochem would still have its BOP rakata implants, RE purple implants and blue single use items that are better than the epic resuables. Which would put it on a par with most other crew skills. I find it amazing that the devs have discounted this solution.
  6. I pay my scoundrel with a well geared tank most of the time. I have noticed as my gear improves surrender has become less and less effective. Although I cant be certain I suspect that the threat reduction is a static number based on level rather than a % and this is why with decent gear even when your opossite a tank in decent gear its less effective.
  7. Loot drop mix is terrible in general. In 16 HM last emp we have had 15 trooper chest token, 1 jedi warrior chest token. HM are generally not worth the trouble to be honest all of the loot not from the last boss is rating 126, but you can make almost a full set of rating 126 with mods from the dailies in under 5 days. The only reason to do HM is for fun, for loot find an extra 4 people and do a normal op, easier and much more loot.
  8. Question is do you intend to make 8 characters on one side, if so them different servers is best even considering the legacy issue. Otherwise your free to choose but we really done know how good legacy is going to be. Imagine if it was just that you could play the empire only races asrepublic and republic races as empire and you coulds switch your rest abilitiy for the rest ability of one of the other characters linked to the legacy. That would forfill everything i have heard about legacy so far but essentially be of very little value.
  9. After think about it some more I am of the opinion that Legendary Items could well be available from a quest that required you to fully expierence all areas of the game. To start the quest you should have close to max rank pvp, completed all nightmare mode raids, maxed crafting and researched a huge number of reciepes, have completed all the crew quests, all HM flashpoints and then you can take a hard solo quest to get it. or Have it pretty much available to all but maybe rating 142 where the best equipment is rating 140 now. I think the point I am trying to make is it can't be all of the following: Exclusive Hard to get Available to all regardless of the time they have to spend getting it/ Equally easy to get for people who only solo play and group play Worthwhile.

  11. Just a couple of bits of further information: I believe the illum and belsavis dailies require you to have finished your class quest line before they are available to you. Illum certainly has a prequest line before the dailies open and if possible bring a friend, the pre quests is not impossible for a fresh 50 but can be frustrating in parts. The dailies themselves are easy,
  12. I would like to point out that some big steps have been taken with this game over previous mmo's to be more inclusive. Smaller numbers required for Ops are easier to attain. 3 different difficulty settings for raids with the normal mode ops being considerably easier than raiding I have tried in any other game. Loot from HMFP is equal in quality(same items) to loot for normal 8 and 16 Ops. The improvement in item level from the best items from HMFP / Normal Ops to the items best items from harder mode ops is tiny. Best gear from dailies (attained through moding orange items with mods from dailies) = item rating 126. Takes no more than 1 week of doing all the dailes on illum and Belsavis for a full set. Best gear from Normal Ops or HM flashpoints, Columni = rating 136 Best gear from HM and nightmare Ops = rating 140. a tiny improvement. AS things stand there is a tiny advantage to raiding for gear. The playing field is as level as it can be and still have an incentive to raid. Gone are the days where people with raid gear will stand like gods next to people without. An awful lot of people issues with this are more based on perception than reality.
  13. There is a bug introduced when they reduced the stun duration of shootfirst. Shoot first should knock the target to the floor and stun it for 1.5 sec. however it now has a slightly delayed effect which means the mob turns to face you before behing knocked to ground make the 1st backblast much harder/ impossible to get off in time. Please bug report this in game if its a problem for you, only way it will get fixed
  14. Once I hit Illum and Hardmode Ops I have begun to see a disturbing stealth buster mechanic that some mobs appear to have. First I want to make it clear I am Not talking about the AoE reveal that BH and trooper have and many mobs have throughout the game. That is fine. This takes place at max range 30m plus, a mob notices you and a all his group charges you. The really dumb part about it is that the stealth detection range is far larger than normal agro range. I have group members unstealthed between me and the mob, if i am unstealthed i wouldnt agro but because i am stealthed I am scanned (de-stealthed), agroed and charged. Anyone else have issue with this?
