  1. The question of scalarity being implemented comes to mind. It might need to go before the panel for review before any adjustments could be suggested.
  2. the ultimate paradox. if it happened to me i'm not sure i would have the length of chain to walk away from my computer.
  3. an exchange rate makes sense, 1:5 sounds about right to me for both PvE and PvP let them be exchanged upwards and downwards and legacy bound
  4. definitely needs more special effects, and a story line that incorporates the pregenitors of Dack
  5. The last time I did the BH daily on Corellia it was about 5am central time, with only half a dozen others in the instance. Upside to that was I was able to run it again shortly thereafter, before people with more sane play schedules showed up. I hate to mention what is otherwise unmentionable, but there is another game on the market that has resource node camping figured out and anybody on the map can tap a node once in a given time period. I get the idea that corporate suits think time sinks generate revenue in theory, but in practice the game is going f2p b/c of minor gripes.
  6. it won't die but for now it is resting in a coma. i never thought that nine months in the game would be in such a situation. i do look forward to the f2p not from the standpoint of being a miser, but with the idea that, If implemented correctly, the business model can rejuvenate a game and possibly lead to the development of Fresh content.
  7. When TSW came out a couple months back they sidestepped this naming problem nicely. First and last names didn't need to be unique, but people (players) were known by a third, middle, name that could be specific and unique.
  8. Though it seems too late in the development process the many abilities that every class needs should have been refined in such a way that the ability would do condition A under one situation, condition B under another, and perhaps condition C under yet a third. For example and without having a tooltip to work from, my IA could stab and stun an enemy in close proximity, then I had to switch to another keybind to stab that enemy in an exploited state. Under my ideal solution, the action to stab would by default roll over to the next ability with the use of the same keybind--exploiting the conditional state would be built into the original action, though perhaps this could be a specialized skill trait only accessed at a particular level and purchased from the trainer. As with your gunslinger, my IA either needs another 12 space bar Or needs its abilities pared down to a managable amount.
  9. The option to make the nodes clickable by any and all players once, meaning that one would have to move from node to node but that they would be guaranteed a timely finish to the questline, is not outside the possibility of what is codable. In fact in fleet chat a few days ago there was reference made to this sort of solution to node camping having been addressed in another current game. While not promoting another game or company I think that the attitude that the SWtoR experience should be entirely insular and self referential could come at some cost to overall game health. I should add that the best time I have found to do BH on Corellia is if I would start around 5 am central and then get the reset at 6 am. The few times I was logged on at that time, there were perhaps around half a dozen other players in the area.
  10. the only thing i can think of would be that a lot of f2p games offer an account bank, so in our case a Legacy cargo hold in addition to the personal character storage. it would be convenient to have it in the game presently, it is one of those things that set games apart from one another.
  11. i dismount by going into my out of combat recharge, if only for one or two seconds. companion pops out and all is well. this works for going into some conversations, but once in a while i need to Esc out so my companion materializes. no companion seems to yield no affection (am i wrong about that, at least there is no UI for affection if teh companion isn't unpacked).
  12. I hadn't run any instances besided Esseles and Black Talon (?) prior to the server merges. I would have but on the old servers the population didn't support it. I might be one of the new faces but not a new player.
  13. I always find it amusing when someone says they don't want to play as a panda, but are ready to play as a feline here. Something about that mindset seems unbalanced. My own personal experience with Cathar in this game has been the rather sour Aric Jorgan companion and the medicine thieves on Ord Mantell, and there are a few token Cathar jedi sprinkled in the game as npc. All that aside I'm going to need two more character slots in the near future, eight is not enough any more.
  14. in LotRO you can hop off the taxi (pony) where you feel like it, but the taxi rides in this game are strictly point A to point B. I miss the stars in the night sky of Middle Earth. And I miss the sunshowers and fog. And farming.
