  2. Of course its just my opinion , who else could I really speak for ? And as you say , playing as f2p/pref put you of from wanting to play the game as a non sub. You chose to subscribe , others will choose leave . I support a system that incentivizes subscribing instead of punishing not subscribing , a subtle difference I feel is very important.
  3. Of course it was not an oversight , they are going for that whole telltale episodic system , and that is fine . But I think Bioware is overestimating peoples willingness to buy a subscription each month just for an hour of content. A more reasonable theory is that people will wait 3-4 months and then catch up on the story. The whole point I was trying to make earlier was that i wish they could rework their current horrible prefered player system so that people will still stick with the game , even if they dont subscribe , because right now the incentive to subscribe is lower than ever.
  4. A fair point , and not only that but the f2p/prefered system have not really been touched since its launch. I would much rather have players stick around in SWTOR , for the community , guilds etc than them ditching the game because the f2p/prefered systen is so hillariously punishing . For crying out loud they still have payment for medical droids ... its almost like paying a few euros for a ammo clip in a FPS. Iam just gonna leave this one here:
  5. A low sub count doesnt have to be a problem either , aslong as money is spent on the cartel market . Quite frankly they seem to be going for a less regular subscriber mass anyway , now with the focus on story and no new content to speak of.

  7. You missed the point . There seem to be this fallacy going around that if you sub you magically keep this game alive , while the reality is that there are a few rich people who are willing to drop alot of money on the cartel market that keeps this game alive, wheter they are F2P/Prefered or a sub is irrelevant, and mere speculation anyway.
  8. There is no point trying to reason and present a good argument for most of the people on this forum. So many subscribers seem to have their head up their ***. They actually think their measly subscription to this game is what keeps it alive . (Prior to KOTFE anyway) 1 hypercrate is the same worth as 3 months of a sub, let that sink in for a moment. Its people who buy 30-40 hypercrates each month that keeps this game alive . If you sub and never buy anything from the cartel market , you are like a fart in the wind , a drop in the sea. Time for a reality check people .
  9. The reason for why you cant customize the new companions is very simple, they are custom made models. The classic companions are just characters created in the creation tool that you as a player can recreate if you so desire. If we get companion customization for the new characters they would have to be a custom model again that alter custume aswell as look. No need for these grand conspiracy theories.

  13. I would really love that diversion. As it is , the currrent diversion could need some further tweaking. I mean if you use diversion into legshot on a sniper/gs you have basically nullified his defenses 100%( exluding shield probe of course), how many other classes have all their defenses taken away by a single ability?
  14. I really dont understand how anyone who is even remotely knowledgeable about sniper /gs can look at these changes and be happy. Overall all I see is nerfs, and alot of the problems people complained about is still there. Lethality /dirty fighting is still the strongest specc and the speccs that needed buffs are hardly touched. 1.No change to freighter flyby for the specs outside of Engineer/sab , overall our aoe is still very weak. 2. Engineer/sab lost their cooldown reset on sabotage. 3. Lethality /dirty fighting got a snipe /charged burst replacement? A ability we never used in our rotation. 4. MM and sharpshooter basically have no changes outside their replaced ability. (Still lackcluster sustained dps ,though I must admit penetrating rounds seem to have great dmg.) 5. Engineer/sab now have their plasma probe stun tied to sabotage(Horrible change). 6. The changes to Laze target /scoundrels luck are good. Speaking from a pvp point of view , sniper /gs surviveablity seem to be worse. This is mainly tied to all the class buffs to the other classes. Juggernaut now have a snare immunity on one of their heroic abilities , assassins have a moveable hunker down while their deflection is up ,vanguard have 75% movement speed on hold the line , and we lost our cleanse on dodge. Even with the 75% dmg reduction on force and tech attacks when dodge is up, I dont see how we are better off when 3.0 hit. Juggernaut and vanguard will have almost 100% uptime on us now, and assassins will wreck us even harder. Our defensive utility points are almost all based around root and slow and knockbak , yet now more or less every class (excluding marauder and dps ops) have some kind of immunity to snare and root ability.

They should make a dps stance for concealment and lethality where the only healing you can cast is kolto injection and kolto infusion.(to exclude healers from using it).In this stance we can get somet kind of defensive boost (Be it flat damage reduction , damage reduction when stunned , reduced cd on vanish , "cheat death" mechanic or any other idea.)
  16. There was no restrictions previously because the game used a subscription model. (monthly pay) Now you can choose to pay monthly (same as before) or play FREE with restrictions , the choice is yours.
  17. Honestly at this point in time i have just lost all hope of ever having a viable dps scoundrel/Operative in pvp ever again.
  18. Did you just use YOLO queue as an example of how good a class is doing? Iam not sure if you have noticed but even mercs are doing good there.

  20. Highest gs/sniper in group play is 1650 rating. Clearly fine . Lets not pretend 1 highly ranked sniper in YOLO queue make the class fine.
  21. Question 1: PvE3 Question 2: PvP4 Wildcard: PVE4 (Even though its marked as a pve question i think any changes to the sab/engi tree should aim to make it pvp viable aswell)
  22. QoL improvement ? Have you been smoking crack ? Marauders does not need to be given a bloody god mode for 3 seconds.
  23. I can get behind most of these changes. Iam however not a fan of linking any surviveability buffs to revitalizers (like most of us) , unless they completly rework the talent as a whole. I personally wish they would bring back the dot cleanse on roll.( with an appropriate internal cooldown added of course)
  24. Ironically bolster would have saved us a new gear grind
