This again? I thought slicing complaints were done with. Its already been proven that slicing still returns a profit on average. That said, slicing is also considered a gathering skill so yes, you should be going out and getting the nodes. I still make money on my sniper with slicing, even if I don't gather from nodes. No, its not nearly as much as before, but its still a steady increase. If you're consistantly loosing money then you have horrible, horrible luck.

Bioware is obviously releasing 1.2 to keep people from leaving before 1.3. That's all MMOs do. Release/change something to keep people around for the next patch. Please don't leave, we have this patch to keep you interested until the next patch.

lol at thread necro. But wth, I'll bite. How do you know someone won't be able to craft a thing that'll add augment slot to gear that doesn't have it? Until we know /everything/ there is to know about the changes, your argument could very well be useless anxiety. It could have merit. It could be useless. Arguing without facts is pointless.

I still don't see the point of public combat logs. As long as me and my guild are clearing content and still downing bosses, who cares how much DPS someone's pumping out?

Just going to point out, a trained Jedi/Sith aren't the only people in the universe that can use force powers. There are plenty of canon examples. Want an in-game example? Ensign Temple (Agent companion) uses forcepowers and runs around with two blasters. She's called force sensitive. She's not a Sith.

Oh yay, another person confusing "Boring grind" with "difficulty". Cheaper speeders? Doesn't mean its difficult. It just means it takes less time to get money. Quicker to 60 Valor and Battlemaster gear? Good. Now those people that don't have battlemaster like me will be on an even footing and have a higher chance of beating me. So actually, PvP becomes harder because I have less of an advantage, not easier. The only argument you have that could hold any value is making VIP items available to all ONLY if they don't add new items to the VIP vendor. Oh, and incase you missed it, they're ramping up the difficulty of Nightmare FP and releasing more difficult FP in general.

That was my point, buddy. The only way to be unique is to play Singleplayer players. Uniqueness is impossible in MMOs and anyone that thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

How'd I miss this post? So, let me get this straight. You're complaining about an ability that can only be used EVERY TWENTY MINUTES. You're complaining about an ability that can only be used while you have your companion out? You're complaining about an ability that cannot be used in a Flashpoint, Operation, or Warzone? ***? This is a cool change. This is something to actually make that "Heroic Moment" a little more heroic. It can only be used in solo PvE, big deal. By your logic even WoW is a poor MMO because my Hunter is exactly like the other 50 Hunters sitting in SW. My Priest is exactly like the other 50 Priests sitting in SW. You want to be the most unique person in the entire game? Go play a damn singleplayer game like Kingdoms of Amalur or Skyrim.

There's nothing wrong with clickers. People just tend to think in black and white. "Keybinding is good, clicking is bad." "Clicking is good, keybinding is bad." Most people fail to realize that what works for them, doesn't work for everyone else. Some of the best PvPers in previous MMOs I have played turned out to be clickers. Some of the best raiders I've known have turned out to be clickers. On the flip side, some of the best PvPers and raiders I've known use keybindings. Using keybindings doesn't automatically make you better. Skill, practice, and training does. I, for example, cannot play an FPS on the console. I suck at aiming with joysticks but I'm better than average with a mouse and keyboard. My friend? He can't play PC FPS games, but give him an FPS on a console and he'll do very well. Anyone who says clicking is "wrong" and "makes you less effective" are wrong. It just makes THEM less effective.

Cybertechs can also craft a level 48(?) Epic quality techstaff with AIM on it. There's a 'Tech on my server that constantly has one or two going for about 80k, which isn't a bad price considering, as far as I know, it's BiS for SCORPIO.

How do you know that they're not going to add augment slots to tier gear, letting you chose what to put in it? Bioware said they wanted to increase the usefulness of augments and that's a great way to do it. No one ever said that Augment slots ONLY have to be found on critted craft gear.

I personally like the laughter simply because its a nice audio queue when the Lacerate double hit or Kolto Probe procs TA. Since both of those are random chance, the only other way to know you got TA would be to stare at your own buffs, which is never a good idea. Other than that, you know which abilities generate TA so there's never any question if you have TA or not.

Sniper has far more range, and the Operative lethality requires TA, which can only be generated by Shiv. Other than that? Nothing.

It happens in a lot of MMOs, but SWTOR appears to be affected the most out of any I can remember. A lot of people end up joining guilds and playing nearly exclusively with their friends (How many people do you know that turn General chats off? A good number of them.) This leaves pretty much the trolls left. While that's not always the case and it can make it look like a server is full of trolls, its mostly because the non-trolls have simply found their guilds and friends.

To hell with harassment and "spying". Eve allows everyone to talk to anyone (There are no factions, its FFA or Corporation vs Corporation) and that's one of the wonderful things about the game. The harassment line has never been defeated by someone logging onto a different character to whisper rage me, unless the game forces you to roll only one faction on your chosen server like WoW (though last I heard, they removed this function) Besides, if I want to spy on the enemy, all I gotta do is log onto my republic and tell my guild over vent, who can then relay everything to the rest of the people on Ilum or wherever. Let me RP properly with the "enemy" please. This factional crap is old, and a pointless mechanic where every defense is easily destroyed by other options that nearly everyone is capable of using. I have never seen a legit reason for not allowing full factional communication. Not one.

They never mentioned plasma probe. The fourth dot they were talking about is most likely the Series of Shots dot that stacks up to 4 times. That, I believe, you can get with Corrosive Nade.

I find sniper more fun to play than pyrotech. That's reason enough for me to prefer it over the latter.

Posting screenshots does nothing to further someone's skill with the sniper. If you're so good at it, why not make a thread detailing your tactics, abilities used, spec, et al. Telling someone to L2P without giving them the information needed to, well, L2P, is just as useless and time wasting as the people saying sniper is horrible.

EE for EP is still hell of a lot more energy efficient than the 3 snipes it would take to build up Sniper Volley. If Alacrity increased our energy regen, then I'd see a point to it, but as it stands now Alacrity (and thus Sniper Volley) is completely useless to us.
